Abstract
本発明は、樹脂組成物であって、前記樹脂組成物が、生分解性樹脂と、無機物質粉末と、添加剤と、を含み、前記生分解性樹脂と、前記無機物質粉末との質量比が、10:90~70:30であり、前記添加剤が、グリセリン酢酸脂肪酸エステル及び/又はアセチルクエン酸トリブチルからなり、前記添加剤の含有量が、前記樹脂組成物に対して、0.1質量%以上10.0質量%以下である、樹脂組成物を提供する。
Description
本発明は、樹脂組成物及び成形品に関する。
生分解性樹脂は、微生物の作用や加水分解により、自然界に元来存在する物質へ分解されることから、環境負荷が少ない樹脂として注目されている。
生分解性樹脂に対し、環境負荷の少なさを損なわずに良好な諸特性等を付与するため、無機物質粉末(例えば、炭酸カルシウム粉末等)を配合することが提案されている(例えば、特許文献1、2等)。
ここで、樹脂組成物において、生分解性樹脂とともに無機物質粉末を均一に分散させることは必ずしも容易ではない。そのため、これらの成分の分散性を高める観点から、可塑剤の利用が考えられる。
しかし、本発明者らは、従来知られる可塑剤は生分解性樹脂との相溶性が低く、充分な分散性を実現出来ない懸念があることを見出した。樹脂組成物において、生分解性樹脂及び無機物質粉末の分散性が低いと、樹脂組成物から得られる成形品の外観性や機械的特性を損ない得る。
しかし、本発明者らは、従来知られる可塑剤は生分解性樹脂との相溶性が低く、充分な分散性を実現出来ない懸念があることを見出した。樹脂組成物において、生分解性樹脂及び無機物質粉末の分散性が低いと、樹脂組成物から得られる成形品の外観性や機械的特性を損ない得る。
本発明は以上の実情に鑑みてなされたものであり、生分解性樹脂及び無機物質粉末を含み、かつ、良好な外観及び機械的特性を有する成形品を得るための技術の提供を目的とする。
本発明者は、グリセリン酢酸脂肪酸エステル及び/又はアセチルクエン酸トリブチルからなる所定量の添加剤を配合することで上記課題を解決出来る点を見出し、本発明を完成するに至った。より具体的には、本発明は以下を提供する。
(1) 樹脂組成物であって、
前記樹脂組成物が、生分解性樹脂と、無機物質粉末と、添加剤と、を含み、
前記生分解性樹脂と、前記無機物質粉末との質量比が、10:90~70:30であり、
前記添加剤が、グリセリン酢酸脂肪酸エステル及び/又はアセチルクエン酸トリブチルからなり、
前記添加剤の含有量が、前記樹脂組成物に対して、0.1質量%以上10.0質量%以下である、樹脂組成物。
前記樹脂組成物が、生分解性樹脂と、無機物質粉末と、添加剤と、を含み、
前記生分解性樹脂と、前記無機物質粉末との質量比が、10:90~70:30であり、
前記添加剤が、グリセリン酢酸脂肪酸エステル及び/又はアセチルクエン酸トリブチルからなり、

(3) 前記生分解性樹脂が、ポリ乳酸、ポリヒドロキシブチレート、ポリ(3-ヒドロキシブチレート-コ-3-ヒドロキシヘキサノエート)、ポリカプロラクトン、ポリブチレンサクシネート、ポリエチレンサクシネート、ポリリンゴ酸、ポリグリコール酸、ポリジオキサノン、ポリ(2-オキセタノン)、ポリブチレンアジペートテレフタレート、及びポリブチレンサクシネートアジペートからなる群から選択される1以上である、(1)に記載の樹脂組成物。
(4) 前記無機物質粉末が、重質炭酸カルシウム粉末である、(1)に記載の樹脂組成物。
(5) 前記重質炭酸カルシウム粉末のJIS M-8511に準じた空気透過法による平均粒子径が、0.7μm以上6.0μm以下である、(4)に記載の樹脂組成物。
(6) 前記添加剤の含有量が、前記樹脂組成物に対して、0.1質量%以上5.0質量%以下である、(1)に記載の樹脂組成物。
(7) 前記添加剤が、グリセリン酢酸脂肪酸エステルからなる、(1)に記載の樹脂組成物。
(8) (1)から(7)の何れか1項に記載の樹脂組成物からなる、成形品。
(9) 前記成形品が、押出成形シートである、(8)に記載の成形品。
本発明によれば、生分解性樹脂及び無機物質粉末を含み、かつ、良好な外観及び機械的特性を有する成形品を得るための技術が提供される。
以下、本発明の実施形態について説明するが、本発明はこれに限定されない。
<樹脂組成物>
本発明の樹脂組成物は、以下の要件を全て満たす。
・ 樹脂組成物が、生分解性樹脂と、無機物質粉末と、添加剤と、を含む。
・ 生分解性樹脂と、無機物質粉末との質量比が、10:90~70:30である。
・ 添加剤が、グリセリン酢酸脂肪酸エステル及び/又はアセチルクエン酸トリブチルからなる。
・ 添加剤の含有量が、樹脂組成物に対して、0.1質量%以上10.0質量%以下である。
本発明の樹脂組成物は、以下の要件を全て満たす。
・ 樹脂組成物が、生分解性樹脂と、無機物質粉末と、添加剤と、を含む。

本発明の樹脂組成物は、添加剤として所定量のグリセリン酢酸脂肪酸エステル及び/又はアセチルクエン酸トリブチルが配合される点に主要な技術的特徴がある。
本発明者らは、樹脂組成物中の生分解性樹脂及び無機物質粉末の分散性を高め得る成分を鋭意検討した結果、これらの成分の有効性を見出した。
更に、これらの成分によって、樹脂組成物中の生分解性樹脂及び無機物質粉末の分散性が高まる結果、生分解性樹脂の生分解性を損なわずに、樹脂組成物から得られる成形品の外観性や機械的特性が良好となることも見出した。
本発明者らは、樹脂組成物中の生分解性樹脂及び無機物質粉末の分散性を高め得る成分を鋭意検討した結果、これらの成分の有効性を見出した。
更に、これらの成分によって、樹脂組成物中の生分解性樹脂及び無機物質粉末の分散性が高まる結果、生分解性樹脂の生分解性を損なわずに、樹脂組成物から得られる成形品の外観性や機械的特性が良好となることも見出した。
本発明において「外観」とは、樹脂組成物から得られる成形品の表面状態を包含する。
本発明において「外観が良好である」とは、樹脂組成物から得られる成形品の表面全体に、凹凸、変形等がほぼ認められないか、全く認められないことを包含する。
本発明において「外観が良好である」とは、樹脂組成物から得られる成形品の表面全体に、凹凸、変形等がほぼ認められないか、全く認められないことを包含する。
樹脂組成物から得られる成形品の外観は、実施例に示した方法で評価し得る。

本発明において、「Aが、成分a以外の成分を実質的に含まない」とは、「A」中の「成分a」以外の成分の含有量が、好ましくは0.1質量%以下であること、より好ましくは0.05質量%以下であることを包含する。
本発明において、「Aが、成分a以外の成分を実質的に含まない」とは、「A」中の「成分a」以外の成分の含有量が、好ましくは0.1質量%以下であること、より好ましくは0.05質量%以下であることを包含する。
(1)生分解性樹脂
本発明における生分解性樹脂としては、生分解性樹脂として分類される任意の樹脂を採用出来る。生分解性樹脂は、1種を単独で、又は2種以上を組み合わせて用いることが出来る。
本発明における生分解性樹脂としては、生分解性樹脂として分類される任意の樹脂を採用出来る。生分解性樹脂は、1種を単独で、又は2種以上を組み合わせて用いることが出来る。
生分解性樹脂としては、例えば、以下のものが挙げられる。
ポリ乳酸(PLA)、ポリヒドロキシブチレート、ポリ(3-ヒドロキシブチレート-コ-3-ヒドロキシヘキサノエート)(PHBH)、ポリカプロラクトン、ポリブチレンサクシネート(PBS)、ポリエチレンサクシネート(PBA)、ポリリンゴ酸、ポリグリコール酸(PGA)、ポリジオキサノン、ポリ(2-オキセタノン)、ポリブチレンアジペートテレフタレート(PBAT)、ポリブチレンサクシネートアジペート(PBSA)等の脂肪族ポリエステル樹脂;

デンプン、セルロース、キチン、キトサン、グルテン、ゼラチン、ゼイン、大豆タンパク、コラーゲン、ケラチン等の天然高分子と上記の脂肪族ポリエステル樹脂又は脂肪族芳香族コポリエステル樹脂との混合物等。

本発明の効果が奏され易いという観点から、生分解性樹脂は、脂肪族ポリエステル樹脂が好ましい。
脂肪族ポリエステル樹脂としては、ポリ乳酸、ポリヒドロキシブチレート、ポリ(3-ヒドロキシブチレート-コ-3-ヒドロキシヘキサノエート)、ポリカプロラクトン、ポリブチレンサクシネート、ポリエチレンサクシネート、ポリリンゴ酸、ポリグリコール酸、ポリジオキサノン、ポリ(2-オキセタノン)、ポリブチレンアジペートテレフタレート、及びポリブチレンサクシネートアジペートからなる群から選択される1以上が好ましい。
脂肪族ポリエステル樹脂としては、ポリ乳酸、ポリヒドロキシブチレート、ポリ(3-ヒドロキシブチレート-コ-3-ヒドロキシヘキサノエート)、ポリカプロラクトン、ポリブチレンサクシネート、ポリエチレンサクシネート、ポリリンゴ酸、ポリグリコール酸、ポリジオキサノン、ポリ(2-オキセタノン)、ポリブチレンアジペートテレフタレート、及びポリブチレンサクシネートアジペートからなる群から選択される1以上が好ましい。
なお、本発明において「ポリ乳酸」とは、原料モノマーとして乳酸成分のみを縮重合させて得られるポリ乳酸ホモポリマー、及び、原料モノマーとして乳酸成分と該乳酸成分と共重合可能なその他のモノマー成分とを縮重合させて得られるポリ乳酸コポリマーを包含する。
生分解性樹脂の含有量は、成形性等の観点から適宜設定出来る。
生分解性樹脂の含有量の上限は、樹脂組成物に対して、好ましくは70質量%以下、より好ましくは60質量%以下である。
生分解性樹脂の含有量の下限は、樹脂組成物に対して、好ましくは10質量%以上、より好ましくは20質量%以上である。

本発明の効果が奏され易いという観点から、本発明の樹脂組成物に含まれる樹脂成分は、生分解性樹脂以外の樹脂成分を実質的に含まないことが好ましく、生分解性樹脂のみからなることがより好ましい。
(2)無機物質粉末
無機物質粉末としては、特に限定されず、通常の樹脂製品等に含まれるものを採用出来る。無機物質粉末は、1種を単独で、又は2種以上を組み合わせて用いることが出来る。

無機物質粉末としては、例えば、以下のものが挙げられる。
金属(カルシウム、マグネシウム、アルミニウム、チタン、鉄、亜鉛等)の炭酸塩、硫酸塩、珪酸塩、リン酸塩、又はホウ酸塩;
金属(カルシウム、マグネシウム、アルミニウム、チタン、鉄、亜鉛等)の酸化物;
上記塩又は酸化物の水和物等。
金属(カルシウム、マグネシウム、アルミニウム、チタン、鉄、亜鉛等)の炭酸塩、硫酸塩、珪酸塩、リン酸塩、又はホウ酸塩;
金属(カルシウム、マグネシウム、アルミニウム、チタン、鉄、亜鉛等)の酸化物;
上記塩又は酸化物の水和物等。
無機物質粉末としては、例えば、炭酸カルシウム、炭酸マグネシウム、酸化亜鉛、酸化チタン、シリカ、アルミナ、クレー、タルク、カオリン、水酸化アルミニウム、水酸化マグネシウム、ケイ酸アルミニウム、ケイ酸マグネシウム、ケイ酸カルシウム、硫酸アルミニウム、硫酸マグネシウム、硫酸カルシウム、リン酸マグネシウム、硫酸バリウム、珪砂、カーボンブラック、ゼオライト、モリブデン、珪藻土、セリサイト、シラス、亜硫酸カルシウム、硫酸ナトリウム、チタン酸カリウム、ベントナイト、黒鉛等が挙げられる。
無機物質粉末は合成のものであっても良く、天然鉱物由来のものであっても良い。
無機物質粉末の形状は、特に限定されず、粒子状(球形、不定形状等)、フレーク状、顆粒状、繊維状等の何れであっても良い。
無機物質粉末は表面処理剤で処理されていても良く、処理されていなくても良い。
好ましい表面処理剤としては、無機物質粉末の分散性等を高める観点から、スルホン酸を含む表面処理剤、スルホン酸塩を含む表面処理剤、及びリン酸エステルを含有する表面処理剤からなる群から選択される1以上等が挙げられる。
表面処理剤は、1種を単独で、又は2種以上を組み合わせて用いることが出来る。
好ましい表面処理剤としては、無機物質粉末の分散性等を高める観点から、スルホン酸を含む表面処理剤、スルホン酸塩を含む表面処理剤、及びリン酸エステルを含有する表面処理剤からなる群から選択される1以上等が挙げられる。
表面処理剤は、1種を単独で、又は2種以上を組み合わせて用いることが出来る。
無機物質粉末としては、炭酸カルシウム粉末が好ましい。樹脂組成物に対して炭酸カルシウム粉末の配合量を高めると、得られる成形品の機械的特性を高め易くなるものの、外観が劣り易くなり得る。しかし、本発明によれば、所定の添加剤を配合することで、機械的特性を損なわずに外観性をも高め得る。
炭酸カルシウム粉末としては、重質炭酸カルシウム粉末、及び軽質炭酸カルシウム粉末の何れでも良い。
「重質炭酸カルシウム」とは、炭酸カルシウム(CaCO3)を主成分とする天然原料(石灰石等)を機械的に粉砕(乾式法、湿式法等)して得られる炭酸カルシウムである。
「軽質炭酸カルシウム」とは、合成法(化学的沈殿反応等)により調製された炭酸カルシウムである。
したがって、重質炭酸カルシウム、及び軽質炭酸カルシウムは互いに明確に区別される。
「軽質炭酸カルシウム」とは、合成法(化学的沈殿反応等)により調製された炭酸カルシウムである。
したがって、重質炭酸カルシウム、及び軽質炭酸カルシウムは互いに明確に区別される。
生分解性樹脂に対してより多くの接触界面を有し、本発明の効果が奏され易いという観点から、無機物質粉末は重質炭酸カルシウム粉末を含むことが好ましく、無機物質粉末が重質炭酸カルシウム粉末からなることがより好ましい。
無機物質粉末における、JIS M-8511に準じた空気透過法に基づく平均粒子径は、分散性を高め易いという観点から、好ましくは0.7μm以上6.0μm以下、より好ましくは1.0μm以上5.0μm以下である。
本発明において「平均粒子径」とは、JIS M-8511に準じた空気透過法による比表面積の測定結果から計算した値を意味する。測定機器としては、例えば、島津製作所社製の比表面積測定装置「SS-100型」を好ましく用いることが出来る。
無機物質粉末の含有量は、成形性や分散性等の観点から適宜設定出来る。
無機物質粉末の含有量の上限は、樹脂組成物に対して、好ましくは90質量%以下、より好ましくは80質量%以下である。
無機物質粉末の含有量の下限は、樹脂組成物に対して、好ましくは30質量%以上、より好ましくは40質量%以上である。

(3)添加剤
本発明の樹脂組成物は、グリセリン酢酸脂肪酸エステル及び/又はアセチルクエン酸トリブチルからなる添加剤を含む。

グリセリン酢酸脂肪酸エステル(CAS番号:30899-62-8)は、ドデカン酸,2,3-ビス(アセトキシ)プロピル=エステル等としても知られる。
アセチルクエン酸トリブチル(CAS番号:77-90-7)は、2-アセトキシプロパン-1,2,3-トリカルボン酸トリブチル等としても知られる。
添加剤は、グリセリン酢酸脂肪酸エステル及びアセチルクエン酸トリブチルの両方を含んでいても良く、片方のみを含んでいても良い。
本発明の好ましい態様は、添加剤が、グリセリン酢酸脂肪酸エステルからなる態様を包含する。

添加剤(総量)の含有量の上限は、樹脂組成物に対して、10.0質量%以下、好ましくは5.0質量%以下、より好ましくは4.0質量%以下である。

(4)その他の成分
本発明の樹脂組成物には、本発明の効果を阻害しない範囲で、上記の成分にくわえて、その他の成分を配合しても良く、配合しなくても良い。
その他の成分としては、例えば、樹脂(熱可塑性樹脂等)、滑剤、可塑剤、色剤、カップリング剤、流動性改良材(流動性調整剤)、架橋剤、分散剤、紫外線吸収剤、難燃剤、発泡剤、帯電防止剤等が挙げられる。これらの添加剤は、1種を単独で、又は2種以上を組み合わせて用いることが出来る。
本発明の樹脂組成物には、本発明の効果を阻害しない範囲で、上記の成分にくわえて、その他の成分を配合しても良く、配合しなくても良い。

ただし、本発明の好ましい態様は、樹脂組成物が、生分解性樹脂、無機物質粉末、添加剤(グリセリン酢酸脂肪酸エステル及び/又はアセチルクエン酸トリブチル)のみからなる態様を包含する。
(5)各成分の配合比
本発明の樹脂組成物において、生分解性樹脂と、無機物質粉末との質量比(生分解性樹脂:無機物質粉末)は、10:90~70:30、好ましくは30:70~70:30、より好ましくは40:60~70:30である。

添加剤が、グリセリン酢酸脂肪酸エステル及びアセチルクエン酸トリブチルの両方を含む場合、その質量比(グリセリン酢酸脂肪酸エステル:アセチルクエン酸トリブチル)は、好ましくは1:9~9:1、より好ましくは2:8~8:2である。
(6)樹脂組成物の形態等
本発明の樹脂組成物の形態等は、得ようとする成形品の種類等に応じて、任意の形態等であり得る。

本発明の樹脂組成物の製造方法としては、樹脂組成物の形態や用途等に応じて、従来知られる方法や条件を採用出来る。

<成形品>
本発明の成形品は、本発明の樹脂組成物からなり、任意の成形方法によって本発明の樹脂組成物を成形することで得られる。

CC-3:軽質炭酸カルシウム粉末(平均粒子径:1.5μm、表面処理なし)

(2)樹脂組成物の作製
表中の「樹脂組成物の組成」に示す割合で、各材料を、同方向回転二軸混錬押出機「HK-25D」(φ25mm、L/D=41、(株)パーカーコーポレーション製)に投入し、シリンダー温度190~200℃でストランド押出後、冷却、カットすることでペレットを作製した。本例において、該ペレットが、本発明の樹脂組成物に相当する。
表中の「樹脂組成物の組成」に示す割合で、各材料を、同方向回転二軸混錬押出機「HK-25D」(φ25mm、L/D=41、(株)パーカーコーポレーション製)に投入し、シリンダー温度190~200℃でストランド押出後、冷却、カットすることでペレットを作製した。本例において、該ペレットが、本発明の樹脂組成物に相当する。
(3)押出成形品の作製
得られたペレットを二軸混練押出機に投入し、190℃で溶融混練後、Tダイにてシート状(厚さ1.2mm)に成形し、押出成形品を得た。

各押出成形品のシャルピー衝撃強度を、ISO179/1eAに従い測定した。本例において、シャルピー衝撃強度が高いほど、機械的特性が良好であることを意味する。

各表の通り、本発明の要件を満たす樹脂組成物から得られた成形品は、良好な外観及び機械的特性を備えていた。データは示していないが、該成形品は、何れも、海洋生分解性にも優れていた。
また、無機物質粉末として、重質炭酸カルシウム粉末を用いた場合、更には、重質炭酸カルシウム粉末の平均粒子径が0.7μm以上6.0μm以下である場合に、上記傾向が得られ易かった。
また、無機物質粉末として、重質炭酸カルシウム粉末を用いた場合、更には、重質炭酸カルシウム粉末の平均粒子径が0.7μm以上6.0μm以下である場合に、上記傾向が得られ易かった。
これに対し、本発明の要件を満たしていない場合、得られた成形品は、外観及び/又は機械的特性が劣り易かった。
なお、データは示していないが、本例で用いた生分解性樹脂以外の生分解性樹脂を用いた場合であっても上記同様の傾向が確認された。
本出願は、2022年7月28日出願の特願2022-120484に基づく優先権を主張する。当該出願明細書および図面に記載された内容は、すべて本願明細書に援用される。

- 樹脂組成物であって、
前記樹脂組成物が、生分解性樹脂と、無機物質粉末と、添加剤と、を含み、
前記生分解性樹脂と、前記無機物質粉末との質量比が、10:90~70:30であり、
前記添加剤が、グリセリン酢酸脂肪酸エステル及び/又はアセチルクエン酸トリブチルからなり、
前記添加剤の含有量が、前記樹脂組成物に対して、0.1質量%以上10.0質量%以下である、
樹脂組成物。 - 前記生分解性樹脂と、前記無機物質粉末との質量比が、30:70~70:30である、請求項1に記載の樹脂組成物。
- 前記生分解性樹脂が、ポリ乳酸、ポリヒドロキシブチレート、ポリ(3-ヒドロキシブチレート-コ-3-ヒドロキシヘキサノエート)、ポリカプロラクトン、ポリブチレンサクシネート、ポリエチレンサクシネート、ポリリンゴ酸、ポリグリコール酸、ポリジオキサノン、ポリ(2-オキセタノン)、ポリブチレンアジペートテレフタレート、及びポリブチレンサクシネートアジペートからなる群から選択される1以上である、請求項1に記載の樹脂組成物。
- 前記無機物質粉末が、重質炭酸カルシウム粉末である、請求項1に記載の樹脂組成物。
- 前記重質炭酸カルシウム粉末のJIS M-8511に準じた空気透過法による平均粒子径が、0.7μm以上6.0μm以下である、請求項4に記載の樹脂組成物。
- 前記添加剤の含有量が、前記樹脂組成物に対して、0.1質量%以上5.0質量%以下である、請求項1に記載の樹脂組成物。
