- the specifying unit 153 refers to the first map information 54 based on the position information of the vehicle M specified from the reference information, and obtains information on the road on which the vehicle M is traveling and the road on which the vehicle M is expected to travel in the future. Get information and Further, the identifying unit 153 identifies the driving lane of the vehicle M among one or more lanes included in the road based on the acquired road information and the image captured by the camera 10 . Further, when the road includes at least three lanes, the identifying unit 153 may determine whether the vehicle is traveling in a lane other than the right end or the left end of the road. Further, the identifying unit 153 may determine whether or not the driving lane of the vehicle M has not been identified, or whether the driving lane of the vehicle M may be uncertain. Details of the function of the specifying unit 153 will be described later.
- the second section may be, for example, a section in which at least one of the branching lanes has a plurality of lanes. Also, the section determination unit 154 may determine whether or not the first section and the second section exist continuously in the direction of travel. Also, the section determination unit 154 may determine whether or not the first section and the second section exist in this order with respect to the traveling direction.
- the HMI control unit 170 notifies the occupant of predetermined information through the HMI 30 .
- the predetermined information includes, for example, information related to traveling of the vehicle M such as information regarding the state of the vehicle M and information regarding operation control.

- the brake device 210 is not limited to the configuration described above, and is an electronically controlled hydraulic brake device that controls the actuator according to information input from the second control unit 160 to transmit the hydraulic pressure of the master cylinder to the cylinder. good too.
- Section B shown in FIG. 4 is a section in which the number of lanes is reduced by one lane compared to section A.
- Section C is a specific branch section.
- Section B is an example of a first section
- Section C is an example of a second section.
- the lanes L1 to L6 in section A, the lanes L2 to L6 in section B, and the lanes L5 to L6 in section C are lanes that can be traveled in the X-axis direction in FIG.
- FIG. 8 is a diagram for explaining the third method of identifying the driving lane.
- lanes L1 to L3 are shown as in FIG.
- the identifying unit 153 identifies the driving lane of the vehicle M based on the number and direction of lane changes of the vehicle M when the driving lane of the vehicle M can be identified by the above-described first to third identifying methods or the like. .
- the identification unit 153 When the identification unit 153 recognizes that the vehicle M has changed lanes to the lane L2, which is the adjacent lane on the right, from this state, the identification unit 153 identifies that the driving lane of the vehicle M is the lane L2 that is the second lane from the leftmost lane. do. Note that the specifying unit 153 may recognize the direction of the lane change by recognizing the driving situation in which the vehicle M has moved across the lane based on the image captured by the camera 10 . Further, the identifying unit 153 recognizes the direction indicated by the operation of the turn signal switch 32, and when the steering angle detected by the steering angle sensor becomes equal to or greater than a predetermined angle after the operation of the turn signal switch 32 is received, the identification unit 153 turns on the turn signal switch 32. and the direction in which the steering angle increases.
- the identification unit 153 when the driving lane of the vehicle M has not been identified (undefined) among the one or more lanes included in the road, the identification unit 153 moves the vehicle M to the right end of the road or The driving lane of the vehicle M is identified by moving to the leftmost lane by lane change. In this case, the identification unit 153 acquires the number of lane changes and the direction when the lane is changed to the rightmost or leftmost lane, and performs the same number of lane changes in the direction opposite to the acquired direction. may be controlled to return to the original lane.
- FIG. 9 is a diagram for explaining a pattern in which lanes decrease.
- the example of FIG. 9 shows two patterns (patterns A and B) when switching from 6 lanes to 5 lanes.
- the information acquired from the first map information 54 alone indicates that lane L1 is decreasing as in pattern A, or lane L6 is decreasing as in pattern B. Inability to recognize that it is decreasing. Therefore, when the vehicle M is traveling in the section B at the time t2, it is possible to determine which lane the vehicle M is traveling in from the leftmost or rightmost lane, except when the above-described fifth identification method is executed. It cannot be specified with high precision.
- the road division line can be used.
- Autonomous driving such as LKAS can be performed along the lane.
- branch section such as section C further ahead, it may not be possible to recognize which branch destination the current driving lane is connected to, and it may not be possible to drive to the destination surface. occur.
- the connection destination of section C cannot be recognized, the shape of the road in section C cannot be recognized, so even if vehicle M needs to decelerate in front of a curved road, automatic driving may not be able to respond. have a nature.
- FIG. 10 is a diagram for explaining an example of a pattern in which a lane cannot be identified when the number of lanes increases or decreases and a specific branch exists.
- the number of lanes of the road on which the vehicle is traveling, the increase/decrease in the number of lanes, the specific branch type, and the unidentifiable pattern of lanes are associated with each other. For example, if the road on which the vehicle M travels has three lanes and the number of lanes in the next section increases to four, there is a possibility that the two lanes excluding the lanes at both ends cannot be specified (because it becomes indeterminate). sell). Therefore, when there is a specific branch section further ahead, there is a possibility that the operation control in the first operation mode cannot be performed appropriately. Such a phenomenon is the same for other patterns as shown in FIG.
- the mode determining unit 150 determines whether the first section and the second section exist within the first predetermined distance from the vehicle M in the traveling direction of the vehicle M. , to perform operation control for switching from the first operation mode to the second operation mode. Specifically, first, the section determination unit 154 determines whether or not the first section and the second section are continuously present within a first predetermined distance in the traveling direction of the vehicle M. Then, the mode change processing unit 155 determines that the first operation mode (mode A or mode B ) to the second operation mode (mode C, mode D, mode E).
- the mode change processing unit 155 causes the section determination unit 154 to determine whether the vehicle M is traveling in the first section (for example, time t1 in FIG. 4) or while the vehicle M is traveling in the first section (for example, time t2 in FIG. 4).
- the first operation mode is switched to the second operation mode at the timing before the vehicle M enters the second section.
- the timing before entering the second section means that the vehicle M moves from the position of the end point of the first section (node NBe in FIG. 4) or the starting node of the second section (NC1s, NC2s in FIG.
- the fourth predetermined distance is the estimated distance during which the vehicle M can be positioned in the intended branch destination lane in the second driving mode.
- the fourth predetermined distance may be determined by, for example, the number of lanes of the road on which the vehicle M is traveling, the number of lanes in the first section, and the number of lanes in the second section obtained from the first map information 54 .
- the occupant can be made to monitor the surroundings, hold the steering wheel, etc. at an appropriate timing before reaching the second section, and prepare for traveling in the second section.
- appropriate deceleration control can be performed by automatic operation.
- the mode change processing unit 155 when the first section continues during execution of the first driving mode (for example, when increasing from 4 lanes to 5 lanes and then returning to 4 lanes),
- the first operation mode may be continued when the distance from the first section to the second section is equal to or greater than the fifth predetermined distance. This is because even if the first section is continuous and the number of lanes increases or decreases, if the road division line of the driving lane can be recognized, operation control such as LKAS can be continued.
- the mode change processing unit 155 may switch to an operation mode (for example, mode C) in which the task imposed on the occupant is light among the second operation modes instead of continuing the first operation mode. As a result, the operation control with a high degree of automation can be continued, and the operation mode can be switched at a more appropriate timing.
- the occupant can be made aware that the driving mode will be changed and that a predetermined task will be imposed on the occupant, and preparations for switching the driving mode can be made. Further, when the driving mode executed by the vehicle M is switched from the second driving mode to the first driving mode, the HMI control unit 170 informs the occupant of the vehicle M of the driving mode after the change and the tasks imposed on the occupant.
- the HMI 30 may output information indicating that it will be changed (become mild).
- step S106 when it is determined in the process of step S104 that the vehicle is not traveling in the first driving mode, in the process of step S106 it is determined that the first section and the second section do not exist within the predetermined distance, or If it is determined in the process of step S108 that the vehicle is not traveling in a lane other than the right end or the left end of a road with at least three lanes, the process of this flowchart ends. Therefore, for example, in the process of step S106, when only one of the first section and the second section exists within the predetermined distance, the first operation mode is continuously executed.
- the identification unit 153 determines whether or not the lane in which the vehicle M travels has been identified among the one or more lanes included in the road on which the vehicle M travels. (step S212).
- the mode change processing unit 155 performs control to switch the driving mode of the vehicle M from the first driving mode to the second driving mode (step S214).
- step S208 when it is determined in the process of step S208 that the vehicle is not traveling in the first driving mode, when it is determined in the process of step S210 that the first section and the second section do not exist within the predetermined distance, or Also when it is determined in the process of step S212 that the driving lane of the vehicle M has been identified, the process of this flowchart ends.
- the vehicle M cannot specify (lost) the position of the driving lane, and the specific branch exists within a predetermined distance after the position of the vehicle M cannot be specified (lost)
- By controlling not to execute the first operation mode it is possible to clarify the section in which the first operation mode cannot be executed or continued, and to switch from the first operation mode to the second mode in a planned manner. You can take turns driving.
- a limit scene in which the driving lane of the vehicle M cannot be specified is clarified, and automatic driving is performed on a motorway such as an expressway without using a high-precision map. It is possible to increase the section in which driving can be executed.
- the recommended lane determining unit 61 divides the route on the map provided from the navigation device 50 into a plurality of blocks, and refers to the second map information to block each block. Determine the recommended lane for each.
- the recommended lane determination unit 61 may use the lane information included in the second map information to determine which lane from the left the vehicle M should travel.
- the mode determination unit 150 selects one of the plurality of modes included in the second driving mode according to the driving state and driving environment of the vehicle M. , may decide which mode to switch to.
- the driving state is, for example, the driver's state determined by the driver's state determination unit 151 .
- the driving environment is, for example, the shape of the road around the vehicle M, the number of surrounding vehicles, the number of lanes in the first section or the second section, the number of branches, and the like.
- the mode determining unit 150 switches to mode C when the number of lanes in the first section is three, and when the number of lanes is four.

Abstract
Description
車両の運転制御には、例えば、ACC(Adaptive Cruise Control)や、ALC(Auto Lane Changing)、LKAS(Lane Keeping Assistance System)といった種々の運転支援が含まれてよい。
