- the distance in the plate thickness direction from the surface is a quarter of the plate thickness (hereinafter simply referred to as “t / 4 position in the plate thickness direction”.
- t is the plate thickness
- t contains a total of 90% or more of a ferrite structure and a pearlite structure in terms of area ratio.
- the structure of the remainder is one or both of the island martensite structure and the bainite structure.
- the reason why the metallographic structure is evaluated is the quarter position in the plate thickness direction from the surface is that this portion is generally regarded as a representative position for showing the metallographic structure of the steel plate.
- the area ratio of the ferrite structure to the pearlite structure must be 90% or more.
- the ratio of the ferrite structure and the pearlite structure is not particularly limited.
- the area ratio of the ferrite structure alone may be 90% or more of the entire metal structure.
- the steel sheet according to the embodiment of the present invention has excellent low-temperature toughness and excellent High heat input welding characteristics are obtained. While satisfying these characteristics, both the tensile stress range (440 MPa or more and 560 MPa or less) and the yield strength range (325 MPa or more and 440 MPa or less) required for the steel plate for tanks loaded with ammonia are satisfied. The difference between the upper yield point and the lower yield point is set to 30 MPa or less.
- the upper yield point and the lower yield point can be determined by performing a tensile test according to JIS Z 2241, as detailed in Examples. It is known that there are roughly two types of stress-strain curves obtained by tensile tests of steel materials. One is that as strain is applied, the stress increases in proportion to the strain, and when the upper yield point is reached, the stress decreases, and a yield shelf appears, which is a region where the stress does not increase even if the strain increases. , the stress at this time is the upper yield-lower yield type, which is called the lower yield point. The other is a round-curve type in which the strength increases continuously with increasing strain without any clear upper yield point, lower yield point, or yield shelf.
- the steel plate according to the embodiment of the present invention has a stress-strain curve obtained by a tensile test of the upper yield-lower yield type, and the difference between the upper yield point and the lower yield point is as small as 30 MPa or less.
- Such a steel sheet can be obtained by controlling the chemical composition as described above and applying the following manufacturing method.
- Steel for machine structural use for cold working is prepared by preparing a steel material such as a cast slab having a predetermined composition, heating this steel material to an appropriate temperature, and hot-rolling the steel material, as described in detail below. After controlling the reduction rate for each region, setting the hot rolling end temperature to an appropriate range, and further slowly cooling to Ar 3 point, from a predetermined accelerated cooling start temperature lower than Ar 3 point to a predetermined accelerated cooling end temperature It can be manufactured by accelerated cooling at a predetermined cooling rate.
- a steel material having the composition shown in the above "1. Chemical Composition" is prepared for hot rolling in the next rolling step.
- the steel may be a steel commonly used for hot rolling thick plates.
- a cast slab can be mentioned as such a steel material.
- slabs include slabs obtained by using a continuous casting method and ingots obtained by an ingot-making method using a mold. If necessary, these slabs and ingots may be subjected to treatments such as surface treatment, heat treatment and working treatment, and used as steel materials for rolling.
- the tundish used for continuous casting is preferably a hot reusable tundish. This is because the O concentration in the molten steel can be easily reduced.
- the recrystallized region is 820 ° C. or higher
- the non-recrystallized region is 790 ° C. or higher and lower than 820 ° C. (the lower limit of 790 ° C. is the lower temperature limit that is definitely in the austenitic region).
- the rolling reduction in the temperature range of 820° C. or higher is set to 30% or higher, and the rolling reduction in the temperature range of 790° C. or higher and lower than 820° C. is set to 10% or higher.
- These rolling reductions may be achieved by rolling in one pass, or may be achieved as a total rolling reduction in multiple passes of rolling.
- the temperature in the temperature range referred to here corresponds to the temperature of the steel material on the inlet side of the rolling rolls.
- the recrystallization zone temperature was determined by the following method. A test piece of ⁇ 12 ⁇ 12 L was taken so that the t / 2 position of the rolled steel plate (half the position of the plate thickness in the thickness direction from the surface) was the central axis, and 1070 using a hot working reproduction tester. After heating to °C, the temperature range in which the increase in strength due to work hardening does not monotonically increase in the stress-strain curves obtained by rolling at various rolling temperatures was defined as the recrystallization temperature range.
- the hot rolling end temperature (the temperature of the steel material on the roll exit side in the final rolling pass) is set to 750° C. or higher. This is to avoid an excessive increase in strength and deterioration in low temperature toughness. As long as the hot rolling end temperature of 750°C or higher is satisfied, in addition to the rolling in the above-described temperature range of 790°C or higher and lower than 820°C, rolling in a temperature range of lower than 790°C may or may not be performed. It doesn't have to be.
- the steel material (rolled steel sheet) is cooled under the following conditions immediately after the completion of hot rolling. From the hot rolling end temperature to the accelerated cooling start temperature, the steel sheet is cooled at an average cooling rate of 0.5 to 3.0° C./sec by slow cooling means such as air cooling. This is for suppressing the formation of bainite in the surface layer of the steel sheet.
- the accelerated cooling start temperature is a temperature lower than the Ar 3 point and the Ar 3 point ⁇ 150° C. or higher (a temperature lower than the Ar 3 point and within 150° C. from the Ar 3 point). Subsequently, cooling (accelerated cooling) is performed at an average cooling rate of 4 to 9° C./sec between the accelerated cooling start temperature and the accelerated cooling end temperature set between 500° C.
- the accelerated cooling start temperature is lower than the Ar 3 point ⁇ 150° C., coarse pro-eutectoid ferrite precipitates, resulting in low strength. For this reason, the accelerated cooling temperature was set to Ar 3 point-150° C. or higher ((Ar 3 point-150° C.) or higher). If the average cooling rate is less than 4°C/sec or the accelerated cooling end temperature is higher than 650°C, the density of mobile dislocations in the ferrite is insufficient and the difference between the upper yield point and the lower yield point is not sufficiently small.
- the accelerated cooling start temperature is preferably higher than the accelerated cooling end temperature by 50°C or more. This is because if the difference between the accelerated cooling temperature and the accelerated cooling end temperature is 50° C. or more, the effect of increasing the strength by accelerated cooling increases.
- Ar 3 points can be obtained by the following formula (3). In this case, if Cu, Cr, Ni and Mo are contained only at impurity levels, these amounts may be calculated as zero.
- Ar 3 (°C) 910-310 [C]-80 [Mn]-20 [Cu]-15 [Cr]-55 [Ni]-80 [Mo] (3) where [C], [Mn], [Cu], [Cr], [Ni] and [Mo] are the contents of C, Mn, Cu, Cr, Ni and Mo, respectively, in % by mass. be.
- First means After the accelerated cooling described above, cooling is performed between 500° C. and 200° C. at an average cooling rate of 0.5 to 4.0° C./sec. The average cooling rate when air cooling is performed in this temperature range is 0.1 to 0.4° C./second, which means cooling at a faster rate than normal air cooling.
- the strain in the part where the distance in the plate thickness direction from the surface is 1/4 of the plate thickness i.e., t / 4 position in the plate thickness direction, where t is the plate thickness
- Perform plastic working so as to be Examples of such plastic working include light reduction by a pair of rolls such as upper and lower rolls, press working, and introduction of strain by tension. This plastic working may be done at any temperature, eg warm or cold, after accelerated cooling.
- the first measure is preferably carried out because it can be carried out relatively easily during cooling after hot rolling.
- the second means additionally performs plastic working, it is preferable not to implement the second means if high productivity is desired.
- the temperature of the steel material described in the rolling process described above may be measured, for example, with a non-contact thermometer such as a radiation thermometer, or with a contact thermometer such as a thermocouple. Also, it may be confirmed by simulation or the like.
- Table 1 shows the basic components C, Si, Mn, P, Al, Ti, Ca, O, B and N, the optional components V, Nb, Cu, Ni, Cr and Mo, and the inevitable impurities A certain S content was shown. The balance is Fe and unavoidable impurities other than S. The description "-" in the table indicates that the content is below the impurity level. Table 1 further shows the values of the left side of the equation (1), the values of the left side of the equation (2), and the 3 points of Ar determined using the equation (3). In addition, values outside the embodiments of the present invention are underlined.
- the obtained slab was heated to 1000 to 1150° C. and then rolled to obtain a steel plate sample (hot rolled plate) having a thickness of 12 to 16 mm.
- Rolling conditions more specifically, rolling reduction in a temperature range of 820 ° C. or higher, rolling reduction in a temperature range of 790 ° C. or higher and less than 820 ° C. (hot rolling in a temperature range of less than 790 ° C.
- Air cooling was performed from the hot rolling end temperature to the accelerated cooling start temperature.
- the average cooling rate after accelerated cooling is an average cooling rate between 500° C. and 200° C. Samples with an average cooling rate after accelerated cooling of "air cooling” have an average cooling rate after accelerated cooling of 0.1 to 0.1. Means it was within 4°C/sec.
- sample 3 in which strain was introduced after accelerated cooling was cooled to room temperature, and the plasticity rate in the plate thickness direction at room temperature by the upper and lower rolls was 85% for the first pass, 75% for the second pass, and 3. Passes: Plastic working was performed so that the strain at the t/4 position in the plate thickness direction was 1.5% by applying light reduction with a reduction setting of 65%.
- the value of introduced strain was derived by comparing stress-strain curves obtained by tensile tests before and after introduction.
- a tensile stress (tensile strength) was also obtained from the resulting stress-strain curve. Moreover, the upper yield point was defined as the yield strength. Tensile stress and yield strength are also shown in Table 3. Tensile stress of 440 MPa or more and 560 MPa or less was passed, and yield strength of 325 MPa or more and 440 MPa or less was passed.
- ⁇ Charpy impact test> A full-size Charpy impact test piece (JIS Z 2202 V-notch test piece) was prepared so that the central axis of the test piece was positioned at a depth of 6 mm from the surface of the steel plate sample, and the longitudinal direction of the test piece was parallel to the rolling direction. ) were collected from each steel plate sample. The obtained Charpy impact test piece was subjected to a Charpy impact test at -40°C, and the absorbed energy vE of -40°C was measured. The average value (vE -40°C (ave.)) of the measurement results of the Charpy impact test for each of these three pieces is shown in the "vE -40°C " column of Table 3. Those with a vE of ⁇ 40° C. (ave.) exceeding 200 J were judged to have sufficient low temperature toughness.
- ⁇ HAZ toughness evaluation> A test piece of 55 mm (rolling direction) ⁇ 323 mm (direction perpendicular to the rolling direction and the plate thickness direction) ⁇ 12.5 mm (plate thickness) was taken from the t / 2 position of the steel plate sample (the center of the plate thickness direction of the test piece is the position of t/2). After holding the obtained test piece at 1460° C. for 60 seconds, the speed was controlled so that the cooling time from 800° C. to 500° C. was 340 seconds. This is a heat cycle that simulates single-sided SAW high heat input (approximately 9 kJ/mm) welding.
- Steel plate sample no. 1 is due to the fact that the chemical composition does not satisfy the specifications, and although the difference between the upper yield point and the lower yield point is large, the tensile stress and yield strength satisfy the specifications, but the large heat input welding characteristics is inferior. Moreover, the fact that the formula (2) is not satisfied is also a cause of low high heat input welding properties. Steel plate sample no. In No. 5, the rolling reduction at a temperature of 780° C. or more and less than 820° C. is insufficient, and as a result, the low temperature toughness is poor. Steel plate sample no. In No. 6, the hot rolling finish temperature is too low and the cooling rate during accelerated cooling is slow. As a result, the difference between the upper yield point and the lower yield point becomes large, the yield strength becomes excessive, and the low temperature toughness is inferior.

3[Si]+6.3[P]+1.4[Al]≧0.63 (1)
[Ca]/[O]≧0.2 (2)
鋼板サンプルのt/2位置から55mm(圧延方向)×323mm(圧延方向および板厚方向に垂直の方向)×12.5mm(板厚)の試験片を採取した(試験片の板厚方向の中心がt/2の位置となるように採取)。
