Abstract
漂白剤成分を含み、所望の粘度が長期間に亘って維持される組成物を提供する。 本発明の組成物は、α,β-不飽和カルボン酸(a-1)及び分子内にエチレン性不飽和基を少なくとも2個有する化合物(a-2)を含む単量体の共重合体(a)と、ノニオン性界面活性剤(b)とを含み、嵩密度が0.20g/mL以下である、カルボキシル基含有重合体組成物(A)と、漂白剤成分(B)と、アルカリ度緩衝剤(C)と、水(D)とを含み、pHが10よりも高い。
Description
本発明は、漂白剤成分を含む組成物及びその製造方法に関する。
従来、家庭用や業務用の洗浄剤として、漂白剤成分を含む洗浄用組成物が広く使用されている。このような洗浄用組成物は、漂白剤成分を含んでおり、例えば、繊維などの漂白、消毒や、配管の洗浄などの幅広い用途に使用されている(特許文献1,2参照)。
洗浄用組成物において、漂白剤成分としては、例えば、次亜ハロゲン酸ナトリウムなどの次亜ハロゲン酸アルカリ金属や、過酸化水素などの過酸素化合物などが使用されている。また、洗浄効果を高める観点などから、アルカリ度緩衝剤が配合されて、例えばpHが10を超える程度にまで高められることがある。さらに、洗浄用組成物の洗浄対象物への滞留性を高めるために、増粘剤などが配合されることがある。
前記の通り、洗浄効果を高める観点や、洗浄用組成物の洗浄対象物への滞留性を高める観点などから、漂白剤成分を含む洗浄用組成物には、漂白剤成分に加えて、アルカリ度緩衝剤や、増粘剤などが配合されることがある。
例えば増粘剤を配合することによって、漂白剤成分を含む洗浄用組成物の粘度を高めることができる。しかしながら、例えばpHが10を超えるような強アルカリ性を備える洗浄用組成物において、増粘剤を用いて粘度を高めた場合にも、組成物の粘度は経時的に低下し、所望の粘度を長期間に亘って維持することは困難である。
このような状況下、本発明は、漂白剤成分を含み、所望の粘度が長期間に亘って維持される組成物を提供することを主な目的とする。さらに、本発明は、当該組成物の好適な製造方法を提供することも目的とする。
本発明者等は、上記課題を解決するため、検討を重ね、漂白剤成分を含む組成物の粘度を高めるための増粘成分の組成などに着目した。その結果、増粘成分として、α,β-不飽和カルボン酸(a-1)及び分子内にエチレン性不飽和基を少なくとも2個有する化合物(a-2)を含む単量体の共重合体(a)と、ノニオン性界面活性剤(b)とを含むカルボキシル基含有重合体組成物(A)を用い、さらに、当該カルボキシル基含有重合体組成物(A)の嵩密度を0.20g/mL以下に調整することによって、漂白剤成分を含む組成物のpHが10を超えるような強アルカリ性を備える場合にも、所望の粘度を長期間に亘って維持されることを見出した。本発明はこのような知見に基づき、さらに鋭意検討を重ねて完成された発明である。
すなわち、本発明は、下記の構成を備える発明を提供する。

本発明によれば、漂白剤成分を含み、所望の粘度が長期間に亘って維持される組成物を提供することができる。また、本発明によれば、当該組成物の好適な製造方法を提供することもできる。
本発明の組成物は、カルボキシル基含有重合体組成物(A)と、漂白剤成分(B)と、アルカリ度緩衝剤(C)と、水(D)とを含み、pHが10よりも高い。さらに、本発明の組成物において、カルボキシル基含有重合体組成物(A)は、α,β-不飽和カルボン酸(a-1)及び分子内にエチレン性不飽和基を少なくとも2個有する化合物(a-2)を含む単量体の共重合体(a)と、ノニオン性界面活性剤(b)とを含み、嵩密度が0.20g/mL以下であることを特徴としている。本発明の組成物は、このような構成を備えていることにより、漂白剤成分を含み、pHが10を超える強アルカリ性を有しているにも拘わらず、所望の粘度が長期間に亘って維持される。
以下、本発明の組成物及びその製造方法について、詳述する。なお、本明細書において、「~」で結ばれた数値は、「~」の前後の数値を下限値及び上限値として含む数値範囲を意味する。複数の下限値と複数の上限値が別個に記載されている場合、任意の下限値と上限値を選択し、「~」で結ぶことができるものとする。
[カルボキシル基含有重合体組成物(A)]
カルボキシル基含有重合体組成物(A)は、α,β-不飽和カルボン酸(a-1)及び分子内にエチレン性不飽和基を少なくとも2個有する化合物(a-2)を含む単量体の共重合体(a)と、ノニオン性界面活性剤(b)とを含む。α,β-不飽和カルボン酸(a-1)及び分子内にエチレン性不飽和基を少なくとも2個有する化合物(a-2)を含む単量体を、共重合させることにより、共重合体(a)が生成する。すなわち、少なくとも、α,β-不飽和カルボン酸(a-1)と、分子内にエチレン性不飽和基を少なくとも2個有する化合物(a-2)とを単量体とし、これらを含む単量体を共重合させることによって、共重合体(a)が生成する。なお、共重合体(a)は、水と混合され、pHが5以上に調整されることでゲルを形成する成分である。
カルボキシル基含有重合体組成物(A)は、α,β-不飽和カルボン酸(a-1)及び分子内にエチレン性不飽和基を少なくとも2個有する化合物(a-2)を含む単量体の共重合体(a)と、ノニオン性界面活性剤(b)とを含む。α,β-不飽和カルボン酸(a-1)及び分子内にエチレン性不飽和基を少なくとも2個有する化合物(a-2)を含む単量体を、共重合させることにより、共重合体(a)が生成する。すなわち、少なくとも、α,β-不飽和カルボン酸(a-1)と、分子内にエチレン性不飽和基を少なくとも2個有する化合物(a-2)とを単量体とし、これらを含む単量体を共重合させることによって、共重合体(a)が生成する。なお、共重合体(a)は、水と混合され、pHが5以上に調整されることでゲルを形成する成分である。
(α,β-不飽和カルボン酸)
α,β-不飽和カルボン酸(a-1)(「単量体(a-1)」と称する場合がある)としては、特に限定されず、例えば、アクリル酸、メタクリル酸、クロトン酸、マレイン酸、イタコン酸、フマル酸等の炭素数3~5のオレフィン系不飽和カルボン酸等が挙げられる。これらのα,β-不飽和カルボン酸(a-1)の中でも、安価で入手が容易であり、本発明の組成物の粘度を長期間に亘って好適に維持することから、アクリル酸、メタクリル酸が好適に用いられる。なお、これらのα,β-不飽和カルボン酸は、それぞれ単独で使用してもよいし、2種以上を組み合わせて用いてもよい。
α,β-不飽和カルボン酸(a-1)(「単量体(a-1)」と称する場合がある)としては、特に限定されず、例えば、アクリル酸、メタクリル酸、クロトン酸、マレイン酸、イタコン酸、フマル酸等の炭素数3~5のオレフィン系不飽和カルボン酸等が挙げられる。これらのα,β-不飽和カルボン酸(a-1)の中でも、安価で入手が容易であり、本発明の組成物の粘度を長期間に亘って好適に維持することから、アクリル酸、メタクリル酸が好適に用いられる。なお、これらのα,β-不飽和カルボン酸は、それぞれ単独で使用してもよいし、2種以上を組み合わせて用いてもよい。
(分子内にエチレン性不飽和基を少なくとも2個有する化合物)
分子内にエチレン性不飽和基を少なくとも2個有する化合物(a-2)(分子内にエチレン性不飽和基を2個以上有する化合物(a-2)、以下、「エチレン性不飽和基を少なくとも2個有する化合物(a-2)」と表記し、単に「単量体(a-2)」と称する場合もある)としては、特に限定されず、例えば、ポリオールの2置換以上のアクリル酸エステル類;ポリオールの2置換以上のメタクリル酸エステル類;ポリオールの2置換以上のアリルエーテル類;フタル酸ジアリル、リン酸トリアリル、メタクリル酸アリル、テトラアリルオキシエタン、トリアリルシアヌレート、アジピン酸ジビニル、クロトン酸ビニル、1,5-ヘキサジエン、ジビニルベンゼン等が挙げられる。なお、前記ポリオールとは、エチレングリコール、プロピレングリコール、ポリオキシエチレングリコール、ポリオキシプロピレングリコール、グリセリン、ポリグリセリン、トリメチロールプロパン、ペンタエリスリトール、サッカロース、ソルビトール等が挙げられる。これらのエチレン性不飽和基を少なくとも2個有する化合物の中でも、本発明の組成物の粘度を長期間に亘って好適に維持する観点から、ペンタエリスリトールジアリルエーテル、ペンタエリスリトールトリアリルエーテル、ペンタエリスリトールテトラアリルエーテル等のペンタエリスリトールポリアリルエーテル、テトラアリルオキシエタン、リン酸トリアリル、ポリアリルサッカロースが好適に用いられる。なお、これらのエチレン性不飽和基を少なくとも2個有する化合物(a-2)は、それぞれ単独で使用してもよいし、2種以上を組み合わせて用いてもよい。
分子内にエチレン性不飽和基を少なくとも2個有する化合物(a-2)(分子内にエチレン性不飽和基を2個以上有する化合物(a-2)、以下、「エチレン性不飽和基を少なくとも2個有する化合物(a-2)」と表記し、単に「単量体(a-2)」と称する場合もある)としては、特に限定されず、例えば、ポリオールの2置換以上のアクリル酸エステル類;ポリオールの2置換以上のメタクリル酸エステル類;ポリオールの2置換以上のアリルエーテル類;フタル酸ジアリル、リン酸トリアリル、メタクリル酸アリル、テトラアリルオキシエタン、トリアリルシアヌレート、アジピン酸ジビニル、クロトン酸ビニル、1,5-ヘキサジエン、ジビニルベンゼン等が挙げられる。なお、前記ポリオールとは、エチレングリコール、プロピレングリコール、ポリオキシエチレングリコール、ポリオキシプロピレングリコール、グリセリン、ポリグリセリン、トリメチロールプロパン、ペンタエリスリトール、サッカロース、ソルビトール等が挙げられる。これらのエチレン性不飽和基を少なくとも2個有する化合物の中でも、本発明の組成物の粘度を長期間に亘って好適に維持する観点から、ペンタエリスリトールジアリルエーテル、ペンタエリスリトールトリアリルエーテル、ペンタエリスリトールテトラアリルエーテル等のペンタエリスリトールポリアリルエーテル、テトラアリルオキシエタン、リン酸トリアリル、ポリアリルサッカロースが好適に用いられる。なお、これらのエチレン性不飽和基を少なくとも2個有する化合物(a-2)は、それぞれ単独で使用してもよいし、2種以上を組み合わせて用いてもよい。
エチレン性不飽和基を少なくとも2個有する化合物(a-2)の割合は、α,β-不飽和カルボン酸100質量部に対して、好ましくは0.01~10質量部、より好ましくは0.05~3質量部である。エチレン性不飽和基を少なくとも2個有する化合物(a-2)の割合が、0.01質量部以上、さらには0.05質量部以上であることにより、本発明の組成物の所望の粘度が長期間に亘って好適に維持される。また、エチレン性不飽和基を少なくとも2個有する化合物の使用量が10質量部以下、さらには3質量部以下であることにより、本発明の組成物の所望の粘度が長期間に亘って好適に維持される。なお、本発明において、「α,β-不飽和カルボン酸100質量部」とは、α,β-不飽和カルボン酸(a-1)の全量を意味している。
(α,β-不飽和化合物)
共重合体(a)を構成する単量体としては、本発明の組成物の粘度を長期間に亘って好適に維持する観点から、α,β-不飽和化合物(a-3)(以下、「単量体(a-3)」と称する場合がある)等を用いてもよい。

α,β-不飽和化合物(a-3)としては、α,β-不飽和カルボン酸(a-1)と異なれば、特に限定されず、例えば、メチルアクリレート、エチルアクリレート、イソプロピルアクリレート、ブチルアクリレート、オクチルアクリレート、2-エチルアクリレート、デシルアクリレート、ラウロイルアクリレート、ステアリルアクリレ-ト、グリシジルアクリレート等のアクリル酸エステル類;前記アクリル酸エステル類に相当するメタクリル酸エステル類;ビニルグリシジルエーテル、イソプロペニルグリシジルエーテル、アリルグリシジルエーテル、ブテニルグリシジルエーテル等のグリシジルエーテル類;アクリルアミド、N-メチルアクリルアミド、N-エチルアクリルアミド、N-t-ブチルアクリルアミド等のアクリルアミド類;前記アクリルアミド類に相当するメタクリルアミド類;酢酸ビニル、プロピオン酸ビニル、安息香酸ビニル等のビニルエステル類等が挙げられる。これらのα,β-不飽和化合物(a-3)の中でも、アクリル酸エステル類、メタクリル酸エステル類が好適に用いられ、とりわけ、炭素数12~40(特に、15~30)の直鎖又は分岐鎖状のアルキル基を有するアクリル酸エステル類、メタクリル酸エステル類が好ましく、メタクリル酸ステアリル、メタクリル酸エイコサニル、メタクリル酸ベヘニル、メタクリル酸テトラコサニルがより好適に用いられる。なお、これらのα,β-不飽和化合物(a-3)は、それぞれ単独で使用してもよいし、2種以上を組み合わせて用いてもよい。さらに、前記アクリル酸エステル類、メタクリル酸エステル類としては、例えば、日油株式会社製の商品名ブレンマーVMA-70等を用いてもよい。
α,β-不飽和化合物(a-3)の割合は、α,β-不飽和カルボン酸(a-1)100質量部に対して、好ましくは0.1~20質量部、より好ましくは1~10質量部である。α,β-不飽和化合物(a-3)の割合が0.1質量部以上、さらには1質量部以上であれば、本発明の組成物の所望の粘度が長期間に亘って好適に維持される。また、α,β-不飽和化合物(a-3)の使用量が20質量部以下、さらには10質量部以下である場合、本発明の組成物の所望の粘度が長期間に亘って好適に維持される。
本発明において、共重合体(a)を構成する単量体における、α,β-不飽和カルボン酸(a-1)、エチレン性不飽和基を少なくとも2個有する化合物(a-2)、及びα,β-不飽和化合物(a-3)の合計割合としては、特に制限されないが、好ましくは50質量%以上、より好ましくは80~100質量%程度、さらに好ましくは90~100質量%程度、特に好ましくは95~100質量%程度が挙げられる。当該合計割合は、実質的に100質量%であってもよい。また、共重合体(a)を構成する単量体における、α,β-不飽和カルボン酸(a-1)の割合としては、特に制限されないが、好ましくは95質量%以上、より好ましくは96~99質量%程度、さらに好ましくは97~98質量%程度が挙げられる。
これらの単量体を共重合させる方法としては、特に限定されず、公知乃至慣用の方法を適用することができる。具体的には、例えば、以下の方法(1)~(3)のいずれかによって実施することができる。
方法(1):α,β-不飽和カルボン酸(a-1)とエチレン性不飽和基を少なくとも2個有する化合物(a-2)と(さらに必要であればα,β-不飽和化合物(a-3)と)を重合初期から共存させて(例えば、それぞれを全量共存させて)共重合する方法
方法(2):α,β-不飽和カルボン酸(a-1)に、エチレン性不飽和基を少なくとも2個有する化合物(a-2)を連続的に添加しながら重合させる方法
当該方法(2)においてα,β-不飽和化合物(a-3)を使用する場合、これを重合に付す方法は特に限定されず、例えば、あらかじめα,β-不飽和カルボン酸(a-1)と共存させておいてもよいし、エチレン性不飽和基を少なくとも2個有する化合物(a-2)と同様に連続的に添加してもよい。
方法(3):α,β-不飽和カルボン酸(a-1)と、エチレン性不飽和基を少なくとも2個有する化合物(a-2)とを、連続的に添加しながら重合させる方法
当該方法(3)においてα,β-不飽和化合物(a-3)を使用する場合、これを重合に付す方法は特に限定されず、例えば、あらかじめ重合系に仕込んでおいてもよいし、α,β-不飽和カルボン酸(a-1)及びエチレン性不飽和基を少なくとも2個有する化合物(a-2)と同様に連続的に添加してもよい。
方法(1):α,β-不飽和カルボン酸(a-1)とエチレン性不飽和基を少なくとも2個有する化合物(a-2)と(さらに必要であればα,β-不飽和化合物(a-3)と)を重合初期から共存させて(例えば、それぞれを全量共存させて)共重合する方法
方法(2):α,β-不飽和カルボン酸(a-1)に、エチレン性不飽和基を少なくとも2個有する化合物(a-2)を連続的に添加しながら重合させる方法
当該方法(2)においてα,β-不飽和化合物(a-3)を使用する場合、これを重合に付す方法は特に限定されず、例えば、あらかじめα,β-不飽和カルボン酸(a-1)と共存させておいてもよいし、エチレン性不飽和基を少なくとも2個有する化合物(a-2)と同様に連続的に添加してもよい。
方法(3):α,β-不飽和カルボン酸(a-1)と、エチレン性不飽和基を少なくとも2個有する化合物(a-2)とを、連続的に添加しながら重合させる方法
当該方法(3)においてα,β-不飽和化合物(a-3)を使用する場合、これを重合に付す方法は特に限定されず、例えば、あらかじめ重合系に仕込んでおいてもよいし、α,β-不飽和カルボン酸(a-1)及びエチレン性不飽和基を少なくとも2個有する化合物(a-2)と同様に連続的に添加してもよい。
一例として、方法(1)を具体的に説明する。方法(1)においては、例えば、攪拌機、温度計、窒素ガス吹込管、及び冷却管を備えた反応容器に、それぞれ予め所望量に秤量された、α,β-不飽和カルボン酸(a-1)、エチレン性不飽和基を少なくとも2個有する化合物(a-2)、ラジカル重合開始剤、及び不活性溶媒を仕込む。
次に、反応容器内の内容物を攪拌し、組成が均一となるように混合する。次に、反応容器の上部空間に含まれている酸素ガス、及び内容物中に溶解している溶存酸素を除去するために、内容物中に窒素ガスを吹き込む。重合反応は、温浴などで20~120℃、好ましくは30~90℃に加熱することによって行うことができる。重合反応は、通常2~10時間で終了する。
α,β-不飽和カルボン酸(a-1)、エチレン性不飽和基を少なくとも2個有する化合物(a-2)、必要であればα,β-不飽和化合物(a-3)、ラジカル重合開始剤、及び不活性溶媒の仕込み全量における、α,β-不飽和カルボン酸(a-1)及びエチレン性不飽和基を少なくとも2個有する化合物(a-2)の合計仕込量(α,β-不飽和化合物(a-3)を使用する場合には、α,β-不飽和カルボン酸(a-1)、エチレン性不飽和基を少なくとも2個有する化合物(a-2)、及びα,β-不飽和化合物(a-3)の合計割合)は、容積効率を高め、生産性を向上させる観点から、1質量%以上、好ましくは5質量%以上であることが望ましく、また重合反応の進行に伴って重合体の析出が著しくなり、スラリーの粘度が高くなるのを回避し、反応を円滑に進行させる観点から、30質量%以下、好ましくは25質量%以下であることが望ましい。好ましい合計仕込量は、1~30質量%であり、より好ましくは5~25質量%である。
共重合体(a)を製造する際の不活性溶媒としては、α,β-不飽和カルボン酸(a-1)、エチレン性不飽和基を少なくとも2個有する化合物(a-2)、及びα,β-不飽和化合物(a-3)は溶解するが、得られる共重合体(a)は溶解しない溶媒であればよく、特に制限されない。不活性溶媒の好ましい具体例としては、エチレンジクロライド、ノルマルペンタン、ノルマルヘキサン、イソヘキサン、ノルマルヘプタン、ノルマルオクタン、イソオクタンなどのハロゲン置換されていてもよい炭素数2~8の脂肪族炭化水素;シクロペンタン、メチルシクロペンタン、シクロヘキサン、メチルシクロヘキサンなどの炭素数5~7の脂環族炭化水素;ベンゼン、トルエン、キシレン、クロロベンゼンなどのハロゲン置換されていてもよい芳香族炭化水素;酢酸エチル、酢酸イソプロピルなどの酢酸アルキルエステル;メチルエチルケトン、メチルイソブチルケトンなどのケトン系化合物などが挙げられる。これらは単独で使用してもよく、2種以上を併用してもよい。これらの不活性溶媒の中では、品質が安定しており、入手が容易である観点から、エチレンジクロライド、ノルマルヘキサン、シクロヘキサン、ノルマルヘプタン及び酢酸エチルが好ましい。
ラジカル重合開始剤の種類には、特に限定がない。その具体例としては、α,α’-アゾイソブチロニトニル、2,2’-アゾビス-2,4-ジメチルバレロニトリル、ジメチル-2,2’-アゾビスイソブチレート、2,2’-アゾビス(イソ酪酸メチル)、過酸化ベンゾイル、ラウロイルパーオキシド、クメンハイドロパーオキサイド、第3級ブチルハイドロパーオキシドなどを挙げることができる。ラジカル重合開始剤は、1種類を単独で使用してもよいし、2種類以上を組み合わせて使用してもよい。
ラジカル重合開始剤の量は、その種類や反応温度などによって異なるので一概には決定することができないが、通常、重合反応速度を増大させる観点から、共重合体(a)の単量体として用いるα,β-不飽和カルボン酸(a-1)、エチレン性不飽和基を少なくとも2個有する化合物(a-2)、及びα,β-不飽和化合物(a-3)の合計量に対して、0.1質量%以上が好ましく、より好ましくは0.3質量%以上であり、また重合反応の際の除熱を容易に行なうことができるようにするために、10質量%以下が好ましく、より好ましくは3質量%以下である。ラジカル重合開始剤の量は、好ましくは0.1~10質量%であり、より好ましくは0.3~3質量%である。
なお、反応の際に酸素が存在していると、反応に悪影響を及ぼすため、あらかじめ反応系から酸素を除去しておくことが好ましい。したがって、反応時の雰囲気は、酸素による影響を回避する観点から、例えば、窒素ガス、アルゴンガスなどの不活性ガス雰囲気であることが好ましい。
(ノニオン性界面活性剤)
ノニオン性界面活性剤(b)は、親水部と疎水部とから構成される。疎水部の例としては、例えば、多価アルコール脂肪酸エステルやヒドロキシ脂肪酸の付加重合物などが挙げられる。
ノニオン性界面活性剤(b)は、親水部と疎水部とから構成される。疎水部の例としては、例えば、多価アルコール脂肪酸エステルやヒドロキシ脂肪酸の付加重合物などが挙げられる。
本発明の組成物の粘度を長期間に亘って好適に維持する観点から、多価アルコール脂肪酸エステルの多価アルコール部分の好適な例としては、グリセリン、ポリグリセリン、トリメチルプロパノール、ソルビット、ソルビタンなどが挙げられる。ノニオン性界面活性剤(b)の多価アルコール残基としては、これらの多価アルコールに由来するものが好ましい。多価アルコール部分は、1種類であってもよいし、2種類以上であってもよい。
多価アルコール脂肪酸エステルの脂肪酸部分の好適な例としては、ステアリン酸、イソステアリン酸、パルミチン酸などが挙げられる。すなわち、ノニオン性界面活性剤(b)の脂肪酸残基としては、これらの脂肪酸に由来するものが好ましい。脂肪酸部分は、1種類であってもよいし、2種類以上であってもよい。
また、ノニオン性界面活性剤(b)の疎水部における、多価アルコール脂肪酸エステルとしては、ステアリン酸エステル、イソステアリン酸エステル、パルミチン酸エステル、及び、硬化ヒマシ油誘導体などが挙げられる。
ノニオン性界面活性剤(b)の疎水部における、ヒドロキシ脂肪酸の付加重合物の好適な例としては、2-ヒドロキシパルミチン酸、16-ヒドロキシパルミチン酸、及び、12-ヒドロキシステアリン酸の付加重合物などが挙げられる。
ノニオン性界面活性剤(b)の親水部としては、カルボキシ基、ヒドロキシ基、アミノ基、スルホニル基、エーテル基などが挙げられる。ノニオン性界面活性剤(b)の親水部におけるエーテル基としては、ポリオキシアルキレンのようなオキシアルキレン鎖であってもよい。
ノニオン性界面活性剤(b)における、オキシアルキレン鎖の好適な例としては、下記式で示されるオキシアルキレン基が挙げられる。

本発明の組成物の粘度を長期間に亘って好適に維持する観点から、ノニオン性界面活性剤(b)としては、多価アルコール脂肪酸エステルアルキレンオキサイド付加物が好ましく例示される。多価アルコール脂肪酸エステルアルキレンオキサイド付加物は、多価アルコールの脂肪酸エステルに、アルキレンオキサイドが付加した化合物である。多価アルコール脂肪酸エステルアルキレンオキサイド付加物は、乳化剤として機能する。
多価アルコール脂肪酸エステルアルキレンオキサイド付加物における、多価アルコール部分の好適な例としては、前述のように、グリセリン、ポリグリセリン、トリメチルプロパノール、ソルビット、ソルビタンなどが挙げられる。すなわち、多価アルコール脂肪酸エステルアルキレンオキサイド付加物の多価アルコール残基としては、これらの多価アルコールに由来するものが好ましい。多価アルコール部分は、1種類であってもよいし、2種類以上であってもよい。
また、多価アルコール脂肪酸エステルアルキレンオキサイド付加物における、脂肪酸部分の好適な例としては、前述の通り、ステアリン酸、イソステアリン酸、パルミチン酸などが挙げられる。すなわち、多価アルコール脂肪酸エステルアルキレンオキサイド付加物の脂肪酸残基としては、これらの脂肪酸に由来するものが好ましい。脂肪酸部分は、1種類であってもよいし、2種類以上であってもよい。
また、前述の通り、多価アルコール脂肪酸エステルアルキレンオキサイド付加物における、多価アルコール脂肪酸エステルとしては、ステアリン酸エステル、イソステアリン酸エステル、パルミチン酸エステルの他、硬化ヒマシ油誘導体なども挙げられる。
多価アルコール脂肪酸エステルアルキレンオキサイド付加物における、オキシアルキレン鎖の好適な例としては、上記一般式(I)で示されるオキシアルキレン基が挙げられる。
本発明の組成物の粘度を長期間に亘って好適に維持する観点から、ノニオン性界面活性剤(b)におけるHLBとしては、5~8が好ましい。
本発明の組成物の粘度を長期間に亘って好適に維持する観点から、ノニオン性界面活性剤(b)の好ましい具体例としては、トリイソステアリン酸ポリオキシエチレングリセリル、トリイソステアリン酸ポリオキシエチレン(30)硬化ヒマシ油、ポリオキシエチレン硬化ヒマシ油誘導体、ポリオキシエチレングリセリン脂肪酸エステル、ポリオキシエチレントリステアリン酸トリメチロールが挙げられる。ポリオキシエチレングリセリン脂肪酸エステルの具体例としては、モノステアリン酸ポリオキシエチレングリセリル、ジステアリン酸ポリオキシエチレングリセリル、トリステアリン酸ポリオキシエチレングリセリル、イソステアリン酸ポリオキシエチレングリセリル、ジイソステアリン酸ポリオキシエチレングリセリル、トリイソステアリン酸ポリオキシエチレングリセリル、2-ヒドロキシパルミチン酸とアルキレングリコールのブロック共重合体、16-ヒドロキシパルミチン酸とアルキレングリコールのブロック共重合体、及び、12-ヒドロキシステアリン酸とアルキレングリコールのブロック共重合体が挙げられる。
また、硬化ヒマシ油誘導体を多価アルコール脂肪酸エステルとした場合の、多価アルコール脂肪酸エステルアルキレンオキサイド付加物の好ましい具体例としては、ポリオキシエチレン硬化ヒマシ油、ラウリン酸ポリオキシエチレン硬化ヒマシ油、イソステアリン酸ポリオキシエチレン硬化ヒマシ油、トリイソステアリン酸ポリオキシエチレン硬化ヒマシ油などが挙げられる。
多価アルコール脂肪酸エステルアルキレンオキサイド付加物の中では、本発明の組成物の粘度を長期間に亘って好適に維持する観点から、ポリオキシエチレン硬化ヒマシ油、イソステアリン酸ポリオキシエチレン硬化ヒマシ油、トリイソステアリン酸ポリオキシエチレン硬化ヒマシ油及びテトラオレイン酸ポリオキシエチレンソルビットが好ましい。
カルボキシル基含有重合体組成物(A)において、ノニオン性界面活性剤(b)の含有量は、α,β-不飽和カルボン酸(a-1)100質量部に対して、0.5~9質量部、より好ましくは3~7質量部である。
本発明において、カルボキシル基含有重合体組成物(A)の嵩密度は、0.20g/mL以下である。本発明の組成物の粘度を長期間に亘って好適に維持する観点から、当該嵩密度は、好ましくは0.10~0.18g/mL、より好ましくは0.12~0.15g/mLである。
カルボキシル基含有重合体組成物(A)の嵩密度を前記の値に設定する方法としては、例えば、後述のカルボキシル基含有重合体組成物(A)の製造方法を採用することが好適である。また、カルボキシル基含有重合体組成物(A)の嵩密度は、以下の測定方法によって測定される値である。
<嵩密度の測定>
市販のパウダテスタ(例えば、ホソカワミクロン株式会社製)を用いて、カルボキシル基含有重合体組成物(微粉末)のゆるみ嵩密度を測定する。具体的には、上部からカルボキシル基含有重合体組成物(微粉末)を降らせるようにして、100mLの金属容器に充填する。この時、微粉末が充填された金属容器には、タッピングなどの微粉末を詰め込むような操作は行わない。次に、充填された微粉末の質量を測定して、嵩密度(微粉末の質量g/100mL)を計算する。
市販のパウダテスタ(例えば、ホソカワミクロン株式会社製)を用いて、カルボキシル基含有重合体組成物(微粉末)のゆるみ嵩密度を測定する。具体的には、上部からカルボキシル基含有重合体組成物(微粉末)を降らせるようにして、100mLの金属容器に充填する。この時、微粉末が充填された金属容器には、タッピングなどの微粉末を詰め込むような操作は行わない。次に、充填された微粉末の質量を測定して、嵩密度(微粉末の質量g/100mL)を計算する。
本発明の組成物において、カルボキシル基含有重合体組成物(A)の含有量は、特に制限されないが、洗浄用途に使用された場合にも好適に洗浄効果を発揮しつつ、本発明の組成物の粘度を長期間に亘って好適に維持する観点から、好ましくは0.5~3.0質量%、より好ましくは1.0~2.0質量%である。
カルボキシル基含有重合体組成物(A)の製造方法では、ノニオン性界面活性剤(b)の存在下に、単量体を共重合させることが好ましい。単量体を共重合させる方法についえては、前述の通りである。特に、カルボキシル基含有重合体組成物(A)の嵩密度を前記の値に好適に調整する観点からは、単量体の共重合工程において、α,β-不飽和カルボン酸(a-1)の重合率が5~80%となった時点で、系中にノニオン性界面活性剤(b)を添加することが好ましい。すなわち、ノニオン性界面活性剤(b)は、α,β-不飽和カルボン酸(a-1)の共重合が未完全(前記重合率が5~80%)である状態で、系中に添加することが好ましい。カルボキシル基含有重合体組成物(A)の製造過程において、このような特定のタイミングでノニオン性界面活性剤(b)を添加することにより、嵩密度が前記の値に調整されたカルボキシル基含有重合体組成物を好適に製造することができる。なお、ノニオン性界面活性剤(b)は、少なくとも前記重合率が5~80%の時点で添加していれば、5%未満または80%超の時点で別途添加していても同様の効果を発現する。
共重合工程における前記重合率は、実施例に記載の方法により確認することができる。
本発明の組成物の粘度を長期間に亘って好適に維持する観点から、ノニオン性界面活性剤(b)の添加量(すなわち、前記重合率が5~80%の時点におけるノニオン性界面活性剤(b)の添加量)は、α,β-不飽和カルボン酸(a-1)100質量部に対して、好ましくは0.5~9質量部、より好ましくは3~7質量部である。
ノニオン性界面活性剤(b)の存在下に、単量体を共重合させる場合、カルボキシル基含有重合体組成物を製造する方法は、具体的には、以下の方法(1A)、(2A)の態様で実施できる。
方法(1A):α,β-不飽和カルボン酸(a-1)とエチレン性不飽和基を少なくとも2個有する化合物(a-2)と(さらに必要であればα,β-不飽和化合物(a-3))を反応容器に予め仕込み、これらを共重合させ、前記重合率が5~80%(さらに好ましくは5%以上70%未満)になった時点で、系中のスラリーにノニオン性界面活性剤(b)を添加する方法
方法(2A):α,β-不飽和カルボン酸(a-1)及びエチレン性不飽和基を少なくとも2個有する化合物(a-2)を、反応容器にそれぞれ連続的に添加しながら共重合させ、前記重合率が5~80%(さらに好ましくは5%以上70%未満)になった時点で、系中のスラリーにノニオン性界面活性剤(b)を添加する方法
当該方法(2A)においてα,β-不飽和化合物(a-3)を使用する場合、これを重合に付す方法は特に限定されず、例えば、あらかじめ反応容器に仕込んでおいてもよいし、α,β-不飽和カルボン酸(a-1)及びエチレン性不飽和基を少なくとも2個有する化合物(a-2)と同様に反応容器に連続的に添加してもよい。
例えば、方法(1A)において、攪拌機、温度計、窒素ガス吹込管及び冷却管を備えた反応容器に、それぞれ予め所望量で秤量された、α,β-不飽和カルボン酸(a-1)、エチレン性不飽和基を少なくとも2個有する化合物(a-2)、必要であれば前記α,β-不飽和化合物(a-3)、前記ラジカル重合開始剤、及び前記不活性溶媒を仕込む。反応容器内の内容物を攪拌し、組成が均一となるように混合した後、反応容器の上部空間に含まれている酸素ガス、内容物中に溶解している溶存酸素を除去するために、内容物中に窒素ガスを吹き込む。重合反応は、温浴などで20~120℃、好ましくは30~90℃に加熱することによって行なうことができる。重合反応は、通常2~10時間で終了する。次に、前記重合率が5~80%(さらに好ましくは5%以上70%未満)になったことを確認し、ノニオン性界面活性剤(b)を不活性溶媒で希釈し、系中のスラリーに添加し、均一になるまで撹拌する。その後、減圧または常圧下、加熱することにより、反応溶液から不活性溶媒を留去し、カルボキシル基含有重合体組成物を白色微粉末として得ることができる。
[漂白剤成分(B)]
本発明の組成物において、漂白剤成分(B)としては、特に制限されず、例えば漂白剤成分を含む公知の洗浄用組成物に含まれるものを使用することができる。漂白剤成分(B)の具体例としては、次亜ハロゲン酸金属塩、過酸素化合物などが挙げられる。漂白剤成分(B)は、1種類のみを用いてもよいし、2種類以上を混合して用いてもよい。
本発明の組成物において、漂白剤成分(B)としては、特に制限されず、例えば漂白剤成分を含む公知の洗浄用組成物に含まれるものを使用することができる。漂白剤成分(B)の具体例としては、次亜ハロゲン酸金属塩、過酸素化合物などが挙げられる。漂白剤成分(B)は、1種類のみを用いてもよいし、2種類以上を混合して用いてもよい。
次亜ハロゲン酸金属塩の具体例としては、次亜塩素酸ナトリウム、次亜塩素酸カリウム、次亜塩素酸リチウム、次亜塩素酸カルシウム、一塩基性次亜塩素酸カルシウム、二塩基性次亜塩素酸マグネシウム、塩素化リン酸三ナトリウム十二水和物、ジクロロイソシアヌル酸カリウム、ジクロロイソシアヌル酸ナトリウム、ジクロロイソシアヌル酸ナトリウム二水和物、トリクロロシアヌル酸、1,3-ジクロロ-5,5-ジメチルヒダントイン、N-クロロスルファミド、クロラミンT、ジクロラミンT、クロラミンB、ジクロラミンBなどが挙げられる。これらの中でも、汎用性が高いことなどから、次亜塩素酸ナトリウム、次亜塩素酸カリウムが好ましい。
また、過酸素化合物の具体例としては、過酸化水素が挙げられる。水中で過酸化水素を生成させる過酸素化合物も好適に使用することができ、そのような過酸素化合物としては、過酸化アルカリ金属、有機過酸化物(例えば過酸化尿素)、無機過塩(例えば、過ホウ酸、過カルボン酸、および過リン酸などのアルカリ金属塩など)が挙げられる。これらの中でも、汎用性が高いことなどから、過酸化水素が好ましい。
漂白剤成分(B)は、例えば、水溶液として容易に入手可能である。
本発明の組成物において、漂白剤成分(B)の含有量は、特に制限されないが、洗浄用途に使用された場合にも好適に洗浄効果を発揮しつつ、本発明の組成物の粘度を長期間に亘って好適に維持する観点から、好ましくは0.1~50質量%、より好ましくは0.1~20質量%である。
[アルカリ度緩衝剤(C)]
本発明の組成物において、アルカリ度緩衝剤(C)としては、特に制限されず、例えば漂白剤成分を含む公知の洗浄用組成物に含まれるものを使用することができる。本発明において、アルカリ度緩衝剤(C)は、本発明の組成物をpH10超の強アルカリ性に保つために配合される成分である。すなわち、アルカリ度緩衝剤(C)は、本発明の組成物に、10よりも高いpHを与えるのに十分なものである。
本発明の組成物において、アルカリ度緩衝剤(C)としては、特に制限されず、例えば漂白剤成分を含む公知の洗浄用組成物に含まれるものを使用することができる。本発明において、アルカリ度緩衝剤(C)は、本発明の組成物をpH10超の強アルカリ性に保つために配合される成分である。すなわち、アルカリ度緩衝剤(C)は、本発明の組成物に、10よりも高いpHを与えるのに十分なものである。
本発明の組成物をpH10超の強アルカリ性に好適に保つ観点から、アルカリ度緩衝剤(C)の具体例としては、炭酸ナトリウム、炭酸水素ナトリウム、炭酸カリウム、セスキ炭酸ナトリウム、ケイ酸ナトリウム、ケイ酸カリウム、ピロリン酸ナトリウム、ピロリン酸四カリウム、リン酸三カリウム、リン酸三ナトリウム、無水四ホウ酸ナトリウム、四ホウ酸ナトリウム五水和物、水酸化カリウム、水酸化アンモニウム、四ホウ酸ナトリウム五水和物、水酸化カリウム、水酸化ナトリウム、および四ホウ酸ナトリウム十水和物が挙げられる。これらの中でも、汎用性が高いことなどから、水酸化ナトリウム、水酸化カリウムが好ましい。
本発明の組成物において、アルカリ度緩衝剤(C)の含有量は、本発明の組成物のpHを10超にできれば、特に制限されない。
[水(D)]
本発明の組成物において、水(D)としては、特に制限されず、水道水、純水、イオン交換水、工業用水などを使用することができる。

本発明の組成物において、水(D)の含有量は、特に制限されないが、洗浄用途に使用された場合にも好適に洗浄効果を発揮しつつ、本発明の組成物の粘度を長期間に亘って好適に維持する観点から、好ましくは70質量%以上、より好ましくは80質量%以上である。
[他の成分]
本発明の組成物には、前記の各成分に加えて、さらに、他の成分が含まれていてもよい。他の成分としては、特に制限されず、例えば漂白剤成分を含む公知の洗浄用組成物に含まれるものを使用することができる。他の成分は、1種類のみを用いてもよいし、2種類以上を混合して用いてもよい。
本発明の組成物には、前記の各成分に加えて、さらに、他の成分が含まれていてもよい。他の成分としては、特に制限されず、例えば漂白剤成分を含む公知の洗浄用組成物に含まれるものを使用することができる。他の成分は、1種類のみを用いてもよいし、2種類以上を混合して用いてもよい。
他の成分の具体例としては、ノニオン性界面活性剤とは異なる界面活性剤(アニオン界面活性剤、カチオン界面活性剤)、ビルダー、金属イオン封鎖剤、キレート剤、溶媒、消泡剤、腐食阻害剤、蛍光増白剤、キレート剤、抗再付着剤、分散剤、染料捕捉剤、酵素、皮膚軟化剤、湿潤剤、防腐剤などが挙げられる。他の成分の含有量についても、組成物の用途に応じて適宜調整することができる。
本発明の組成物のpHについては、10よりも高ければよく、用途に応じて適宜設定することができ、好ましくは10超、14以下である。
また、本発明の組成物の粘度としては、用途に応じて適宜設定することができるが、洗浄用途に使用された場合にも好適に洗浄効果を発揮しつつ、本発明の組成物の粘度を長期間に亘って好適に維持する観点から、好ましくは1,000~10,000mPa・s、より好ましくは2,000~6,000mPa・sである。なお、当該粘度は、以下の方法により測定された値を意味する。
<粘度の測定>
評価サンプルを25℃に調整した恒温水槽に30分浸した後に、BrookField社製の粘度計(型番:DV1MRVTJ0)を用い、スピンドルNo.3、4又は6を使用して20rpmで測定した。

本発明の組成物は、カルボキシル基含有重合体組成物(A)と、漂白剤成分(B)と、アルカリ度緩衝剤(C)と、水(D)と、必要に応じて他の成分を混合することによって、簡便に製造することができる。本発明の組成物に含まれる各成分の種類や含有量の好ましい態様については、前述の通りである。
本発明の組成物の製造においては、例えば、まずカルボキシル基含有重合体組成物(A)を水(D)に十分に分散させ、その後にアルカリ度緩衝剤(C)を添加することにより、溶液を中和し増粘させる。次に、増粘液が強塩基性であることをpH試験紙で確認した後に、漂白剤成分(B)を添加し、さらに十分に撹拌する。
本発明の組成物は、漂白剤成分を含み、所望の粘度が長期間に亘って維持されることから、例えば洗浄用途に好適に使用することができる。
以下に実施例及び比較例を示して本発明を詳細に説明する。但し本発明は実施例に限定されるものではない。
[評価方法]
合成例におけるカルボキシル基含有重合体組成物の重合率、嵩密度、実施例及び比較例により得られた組成物の粘度及び有効塩素濃度の経時変化は、それぞれ、以下の方法により測定した。なお、ノニオン性界面活性剤のHLB値は、それぞれ、カタログ値である。
合成例におけるカルボキシル基含有重合体組成物の重合率、嵩密度、実施例及び比較例により得られた組成物の粘度及び有効塩素濃度の経時変化は、それぞれ、以下の方法により測定した。なお、ノニオン性界面活性剤のHLB値は、それぞれ、カタログ値である。
<重合率の算出>
各合成例でのカルボキシル基含有重合体組成物の製造過程において、重合率は、下記の式により算出した。未反応の単量体(a-1)の量は、重合反応に用いた単量体(a-1)の総量のうち、その時点で系中に添加していない単量体(a-1)と、添加した系中で未反応の状態で存在している単量体(a-1)の合計量を意味する。また、式において、単量体(a-1)の各量は、重量を基準としたものである。添加した系中で未反応の状態で存在している単量体(a-1)の量は、高速液体クロマトグラフィー等の液体クロマトグラフィーを用いて測定した。その時点で系中に添加していない単量体(a-1)の量は、重量を直接測定すること、および、容量を測定し、密度との積から計算することができる。
式;(重合反応に用いた単量体の総量 - 未反応の単量体)÷重合反応に用いた単量体の総量

<嵩密度の測定>
ホソカワミクロン株式会社製のパウダテスタを用いて、各合成例で得られたカルボキシル基含有重合体組成物(微粉末)のゆるみ嵩密度を測定した。具体的には、上部からカルボキシル基含有重合体組成物(微粉末)を降らせるようにして、100mLの金属容器に充填した。この時、微粉末が充填された金属容器には、タッピングなどの微粉末を詰め込むような操作は行っていない。次に、充填された微粉末の質量を測定して、嵩密度(微粉末の質量g/100mL)を計算した。結果を表1に示す。
ホソカワミクロン株式会社製のパウダテスタを用いて、各合成例で得られたカルボキシル基含有重合体組成物(微粉末)のゆるみ嵩密度を測定した。具体的には、上部からカルボキシル基含有重合体組成物(微粉末)を降らせるようにして、100mLの金属容器に充填した。この時、微粉末が充填された金属容器には、タッピングなどの微粉末を詰め込むような操作は行っていない。次に、充填された微粉末の質量を測定して、嵩密度(微粉末の質量g/100mL)を計算した。結果を表1に示す。
<粘度の経時変化の測定>
実施例及び比較例で得られた組成物をそれぞれ容器内に密封した。この容器を温度50℃、相対湿度75%に設定した恒温恒湿機(エスペック社製、型番:LHU-113)に入れた。次に、以下の条件において、0日後(すなわち、恒温恒湿機に入れる前)、7日後、11日後、15日後、21日後、31日後、54日後の粘度を測定した。具体的には、評価サンプルを25℃に調整した恒温水槽に30分浸した後に、BrookField社製の粘度計(型番:DV1MRVTJ0)を用い、スピンドルNo.4を使用して20rpmで測定した。尚、粘度値10,000mPa・s以上のサンプルはスピンドルNo.6、1,000mPa・s以下のサンプルはスピンドルNo.3を用いて測定した。すなわち表2中で示す、比較例2の7日後サンプルはスピンドルNo.6を用い、比較例2の15日後サンプル及び比較例4の0日後サンプルはスピンドルNo.3を用い、これら以外のサンプルは全てスピンドルNo.4を用いて測定した値である。結果を表2に示す。また、11日後を基準とした粘度の変化率(%)を表3及び図1のグラフに示す。なお、比較例2の組成物については、15日後の時点で粘度が非常に低い値となったため、その後の測定を省略した(測定の省略を「-」で表記した)。

<有効塩素濃度の経時変化の測定>
前記の<粘度経時変化の測定>において、0日後(すなわち、恒温恒湿機に入れる前)、7日後、11日後、15日後、21日後、31日後の粘度を測定する際に、合わせて組成物の有効塩素濃度(%)を以下の方法で測定した。具体的には、100mLメスフラスコにサンプル(25℃の恒温水槽に30分浸したものを用いる。)をスパチュラで1杯(0.1gくらいを目安とする程度)加え、重量を記録する。この重量をサンプル量w(g)とする。さらに、20wt%ヨウ化カリウム水溶液20mLを加え軽く混ぜた後、酢酸10mLを添加し、純水により容量を100mLとした。調製した溶液を200mLビーカに移し、メスフラスコ内の付着物を約15mLの純水で洗いこみ(5mL×3回)、前述の200mLビーカに加えた。0.005mol/Lチオ硫酸ナトリウム水溶液をビュレットから、前述の200mLビーカに滴下し、溶液が透明となる所を終点とし、滴下した容量を記録する。この容量をチオ硫酸ナトリウム水溶液滴下量a(ml)とした。下式にサンプル量w及び滴定量aを代入し、有効塩素濃度を算出した。
前記の<粘度経時変化の測定>において、0日後(すなわち、恒温恒湿機に入れる前)、7日後、11日後、15日後、21日後、31日後の粘度を測定する際に、合わせて組成物の有効塩素濃度(%)を以下の方法で測定した。具体的には、100mLメスフラスコにサンプル(25℃の恒温水槽に30分浸したものを用いる。)をスパチュラで1杯(0.1gくらいを目安とする程度)加え、重量を記録する。この重量をサンプル量w(g)とする。さらに、20wt%ヨウ化カリウム水溶液20mLを加え軽く混ぜた後、酢酸10mLを添加し、純水により容量を100mLとした。調製した溶液を200mLビーカに移し、メスフラスコ内の付着物を約15mLの純水で洗いこみ(5mL×3回)、前述の200mLビーカに加えた。0.005mol/Lチオ硫酸ナトリウム水溶液をビュレットから、前述の200mLビーカに滴下し、溶液が透明となる所を終点とし、滴下した容量を記録する。この容量をチオ硫酸ナトリウム水溶液滴下量a(ml)とした。下式にサンプル量w及び滴定量aを代入し、有効塩素濃度を算出した。

結果を表3に示す。また、0日後を基準とした有効塩素濃度の変化率(%)を表4及び図2のグラフに示す。なお、表4に示すように、15日後、21日後、31日後において、有効塩素濃度の測定を適宜省略している(測定の省略を「-」で表記した)。また、有効塩素濃度の変化率の測定と共に、組成物のpHを測定したが、実施例及び比較例の何れについても、pH13を保持していた。
(合成例1)
攪拌機、温度計、窒素吹き込み管及び冷却管を備えた500mL(ミリリットル)容の四つ口フラスコに、単量体(a-1)としてアクリル酸40g、エチレン性不飽和基を少なくとも2個有する化合物(単量体(a-2))としてペンタエリスリトールテトラアリルエーテル0.22g、ラジカル重合開始剤として2,2’-アゾビス(イソ酪酸メチル)0.116g、及び反応溶媒としてノルマルヘキサン230.9gを仕込んだ。引き続き、溶液を均一に攪拌、混合した後、反応容器(四つ口フラスコ)の上部空間、原料及び反応溶媒中に存在している酸素を除去するために、溶液中に窒素ガスを吹き込んだ。次いで、窒素雰囲気下、60~65℃まで加熱した。その後、3時間60~65℃に保持した。重合率が54%になった時点(60~65℃で1時間程度、保持した時点)で、ノルマルヘキサン2.0gにノニオン性界面活性剤(b)として12-ヒドロキシステアリン酸とポリオキシエチレンのブロック共重合体(クローダ製、Hypermer B246 HLB6)2.0gを溶解させたものを、反応容器に投入した。その後、生成したスラリーを100℃に加熱して、ノルマルヘキサンを留去し、さらに115℃、10mmHgの条件で、8時間減圧乾燥することにより、白色微粉末のカルボキシル基含有重合体組成物38gを得た。
攪拌機、温度計、窒素吹き込み管及び冷却管を備えた500mL(ミリリットル)容の四つ口フラスコに、単量体(a-1)としてアクリル酸40g、エチレン性不飽和基を少なくとも2個有する化合物(単量体(a-2))としてペンタエリスリトールテトラアリルエーテル0.22g、ラジカル重合開始剤として2,2’-アゾビス(イソ酪酸メチル)0.116g、及び反応溶媒としてノルマルヘキサン230.9gを仕込んだ。引き続き、溶液を均一に攪拌、混合した後、反応容器(四つ口フラスコ)の上部空間、原料及び反応溶媒中に存在している酸素を除去するために、溶液中に窒素ガスを吹き込んだ。次いで、窒素雰囲気下、60~65℃まで加熱した。その後、3時間60~65℃に保持した。重合率が54%になった時点(60~65℃で1時間程度、保持した時点)で、ノルマルヘキサン2.0gにノニオン性界面活性剤(b)として12-ヒドロキシステアリン酸とポリオキシエチレンのブロック共重合体(クローダ製、Hypermer B246 HLB6)2.0gを溶解させたものを、反応容器に投入した。その後、生成したスラリーを100℃に加熱して、ノルマルヘキサンを留去し、さらに115℃、10mmHgの条件で、8時間減圧乾燥することにより、白色微粉末のカルボキシル基含有重合体組成物38gを得た。
(合成例2)
攪拌機、温度計、窒素吹き込み管及び冷却管を備えた500mL(ミリリットル)容の四つ口フラスコに、単量体(a-1)としてアクリル酸40g、アルキル基の炭素数が18~24である(メタ)アクリル酸アルキルエステル(単量体(a-3))としてブレンマーVMA-70(日油株式会社製、メタクリル酸ステアリルが10~20質量部、メタクリル酸エイコサニルが10~20質量部、メタクリル酸ベヘニルが59~80質量部及びメタクリル酸テトラコサニルの含有率が1質量%以下の混合物)0.4g、エチレン性不飽和基を少なくとも2個有する化合物(単量体(a-2))としてペンタエリスリトールテトラアリルエーテル0.24g、ラジカル重合開始剤として2,2’-アゾビス(イソ酪酸メチル)0.116g、及び反応溶媒としてノルマルヘキサン230.9gを仕込んだ。引き続き、溶液を均一に攪拌、混合した後、反応容器(四つ口フラスコ)の上部空間、原料及び反応溶媒中に存在している酸素を除去するために、溶液中に窒素ガスを吹き込んだ。次いで、窒素雰囲気下、60~65℃まで加熱した。その後、3時間60~65℃に保持した。重合率が41%になった時点(60~65℃で1時間程度、保持した時点)で、ノルマルヘキサン2.0gにノニオン性界面活性剤(b)として12-ヒドロキシステアリン酸とポリオキシエチレンのブロック共重合体(クローダ製、Hypermer B246 HLB6)1.6gを溶解させたものを、反応容器に投入した。その後、生成したスラリーを100℃に加熱して、ノルマルヘキサンを留去し、さらに115℃、10mmHgの条件で、8時間減圧乾燥することにより、白色微粉末のカルボキシル基含有重合体組成物39gを得た。
攪拌機、温度計、窒素吹き込み管及び冷却管を備えた500mL(ミリリットル)容の四つ口フラスコに、単量体(a-1)としてアクリル酸40g、アルキル基の炭素数が18~24である(メタ)アクリル酸アルキルエステル(単量体(a-3))としてブレンマーVMA-70(日油株式会社製、メタクリル酸ステアリルが10~20質量部、メタクリル酸エイコサニルが10~20質量部、メタクリル酸ベヘニルが59~80質量部及びメタクリル酸テトラコサニルの含有率が1質量%以下の混合物)0.4g、エチレン性不飽和基を少なくとも2個有する化合物(単量体(a-2))としてペンタエリスリトールテトラアリルエーテル0.24g、ラジカル重合開始剤として2,2’-アゾビス(イソ酪酸メチル)0.116g、及び反応溶媒としてノルマルヘキサン230.9gを仕込んだ。引き続き、溶液を均一に攪拌、混合した後、反応容器(四つ口フラスコ)の上部空間、原料及び反応溶媒中に存在している酸素を除去するために、溶液中に窒素ガスを吹き込んだ。次いで、窒素雰囲気下、60~65℃まで加熱した。その後、3時間60~65℃に保持した。重合率が41%になった時点(60~65℃で1時間程度、保持した時点)で、ノルマルヘキサン2.0gにノニオン性界面活性剤(b)として12-ヒドロキシステアリン酸とポリオキシエチレンのブロック共重合体(クローダ製、Hypermer B246 HLB6)1.6gを溶解させたものを、反応容器に投入した。その後、生成したスラリーを100℃に加熱して、ノルマルヘキサンを留去し、さらに115℃、10mmHgの条件で、8時間減圧乾燥することにより、白色微粉末のカルボキシル基含有重合体組成物39gを得た。
(比較合成例1)

攪拌機、温度計、窒素吹き込み管及び冷却管を備えた500mL(ミリリットル)容の四つ口フラスコに、単量体(a-1)としてアクリル酸40g、アルキル基の炭素数が18~24である(メタ)アクリル酸アルキルエステル(単量体(a-3))としてブレンマーVMA-70(日油株式会社製、メタクリル酸ステアリルが10~20質量部、メタクリル酸エイコサニルが10~20質量部、メタクリル酸ベヘニルが59~80質量部及びメタクリル酸テトラコサニルの含有率が1質量%以下の混合物)1.2g、エチレン性不飽和基を少なくとも2個有する化合物(単量体(a-2))としてペンタエリスリトールテトラアリルエーテル0.004g、ラジカル重合開始剤として2,2’-アゾビス(イソ酪酸メチル)0.116g、及び反応溶媒としてノルマルヘキサン230.9gを仕込んだ。引き続き、溶液を均一に攪拌、混合した後、反応容器(四つ口フラスコ)の上部空間、原料及び反応溶媒中に存在している酸素を除去するために、溶液中に窒素ガスを吹き込んだ。次いで、窒素雰囲気下、60~65℃まで加熱した。その後、3時間60~65℃に保持した。その後、生成したスラリーを100℃に加熱して、ノルマルヘキサンを留去し、さらに115℃、10mmHgの条件で、8時間減圧乾燥することにより、白色微粉末のカルボキシル基含有重合体組成物36gを得た。

合成例1,2及び比較例1,2で得られたカルボキシル基含有重合体組成物の構成及び嵩密度を表1に示す。なお、漂白剤成分を含む洗浄用組成物の増粘剤として汎用されている、市販のカルボキシビニルポリマー(Lubrizol Advanced Materials社製)であるUltrez 10及びUltrez 21の嵩密度についても、同様に測定した。
(実施例1)
合成例1で得られたカルボキシル基含有重合体組成物を用いて、漂白剤成分を含む組成物を以下の手順により製造した。まず、500mLのビーカ(ポリエチレン製)に、純水288.6g(組成物中の最終濃度は72.15質量%となる)を採取した。次に、スリーワンモータに攪拌羽根(パドル型「大」)をビーカにセットし、700rpmで攪拌を開始した。次に、合成例1で得られたカルボキシル基含有重合体組成物6.0g(組成物中の最終濃度は1.50質量%となる)をゆっくりと投入して、純水中に均一に分散させて20分間そのまま攪拌した。次に、水酸化ナトリウム水溶液(濃度18質量%)41.4g(組成物中の最終固形分濃度は10.35質量%となる)を添加し、1000rpmで20分間攪拌した。次に、回転数を500rpmに下げ、次亜塩素酸ナトリウム水溶液(濃度12質量%)を64.0g(組成物中の最終固形分濃度は16.00質量%となる)添加し、そのまま20分間攪拌することで、漂白剤成分を含む組成物(pH13)を得た。

(実施例2)
合成例1で得られたカルボキシル基含有重合体組成物を用いて、漂白剤成分を含む組成物を以下の手順により製造した。まず、500mLのビーカ(ポリエチレン製)に、純水272.8g(組成物中の最終濃度は68.20質量%となる)を採取した。次に、スリーワンモータに攪拌羽根(パドル型「大」)をビーカにセットし、700rpmで攪拌を開始した。次に、合成例1で得られたカルボキシル基含有重合体組成物8.0g(組成物中の最終濃度は2.00質量%となる)をゆっくりと投入して、純水中に均一に分散させて20分間そのまま攪拌した。次に、水酸化ナトリウム水溶液(濃度18質量%)55.2g(組成物中の最終固形分濃度は13.80質量%となる)を添加し、1000rpmで20分間攪拌した。次に、回転数を700rpmに下げ、次亜塩素酸ナトリウム水溶液(濃度12質量%)を64.0g(組成物中の最終固形分濃度は16.00質量%となる)添加し、そのまま20分間攪拌することで、漂白剤成分を含む組成物(pH13)を得た。

(実施例3)
合成例1で得られたカルボキシル基含有重合体組成物の代わりに、合成例3で得られたカルボキシル基含有重合体組成物を用いたこと以外は、実施例1と同様にして、漂白剤成分を含む組成物(pH13)を得た。
合成例1で得られたカルボキシル基含有重合体組成物の代わりに、合成例3で得られたカルボキシル基含有重合体組成物を用いたこと以外は、実施例1と同様にして、漂白剤成分を含む組成物(pH13)を得た。
(比較例1)
合成例1で得られたカルボキシル基含有重合体組成物の代わりに、比較合成例1で得られたカルボキシル基含有重合体組成物を用いたこと以外は、実施例1と同様にして、漂白剤成分を含む組成物(pH13)を得た。
合成例1で得られたカルボキシル基含有重合体組成物の代わりに、比較合成例1で得られたカルボキシル基含有重合体組成物を用いたこと以外は、実施例1と同様にして、漂白剤成分を含む組成物(pH13)を得た。
(比較例2)
合成例1で得られたカルボキシル基含有重合体組成物の代わりに、比較合成例2で得られたカルボキシル基含有重合体組成物を用いたこと以外は、実施例1と同様にして、漂白剤成分を含む組成物(pH13)を得た。
合成例1で得られたカルボキシル基含有重合体組成物の代わりに、比較合成例2で得られたカルボキシル基含有重合体組成物を用いたこと以外は、実施例1と同様にして、漂白剤成分を含む組成物(pH13)を得た。
(比較例3)
合成例1で得られたカルボキシル基含有重合体組成物の代わりに、市販のカルボキシビニルポリマーであるUltrez 10(Lubrizol Advanced Materials社製)を用いたこと以外は、実施例1と同様にして、漂白剤成分を含む組成物(pH13)を得た。

Claims (6)
- α,β-不飽和カルボン酸(a-1)及び分子内にエチレン性不飽和基を少なくとも2個有する化合物(a-2)を含む単量体の共重合体(a)と、ノニオン性界面活性剤(b)とを含み、嵩密度が0.20g/mL以下である、カルボキシル基含有重合体組成物(A)と、
漂白剤成分(B)と、
アルカリ度緩衝剤(C)と、
水(D)と、
を含み、
pHが10よりも高い、組成物。 - 洗浄用途に使用される、請求項1に記載の組成物。
- 前記漂白剤成分(B)が、次亜ハロゲン酸金属塩である、請求項1又は2に記載の組成物。
- 前記カルボキシル基含有重合体組成物(A)において、前記ノニオン性界面活性剤(b)の含有量が、前記α,β-不飽和カルボン酸(a-1)100質量部に対して、0.5~9質量部である、請求項1~3のいずれか1項に記載のカルボキシル基含有重合体組成物。
- 前記カルボキシル基含有重合体組成物(A)において、前記ノニオン性界面活性剤(b)のHLB値が、5~8である、請求項1又は2に記載のカルボキシル基含有重合体組成物。
- α,β-不飽和カルボン酸(a-1)及び分子内にエチレン性不飽和基を少なくとも2個有する化合物(a-2)を含む単量体の共重合体(a)と、ノニオン性界面活性剤(b)とを含み、嵩密度が0.20g/mL以下である、カルボキシル基含有重合体組成物(A)と、
漂白剤成分(B)と、
アルカリ度緩衝剤(C)と、
水(D)と、
を混合する工程を備える、pHが10よりも高い組成物の製造方法。
