Papier sowie daraus hergestellte Wabenstruktur Paper and honeycomb made from it
The invention relates to a paper, in particular for producing a honeycomb structure.
Honeycomb structures are used, inter alia, in lightweight construction, for example for structures of aircraft. Conventional honeycomb structures are made of special papers, which may be provided on one or both sides with a cover layer.
Conventional honeycomb cores, which are also referred to as honeycombs are offered for example by DuPont under the brand Nomex. Such papers are made of meta-tag fibers which are fibrillated and at the same time serve as binders in the manufacture of the paper. Since such papers and honeycomb cores are relatively expensive, there is a need for a paper which is suitable for the production of a honeycomb structure and which can be produced cost-effectively.
The invention is therefore based on the object to provide a paper that is suitable for producing a honeycomb structure and inexpensive to produce.
To solve this problem, a paper is provided which contains thermoplastic fibers and mineral fibers.
The paper according to the invention has the advantage that the components required for the production are available at low cost, so that it can be used as a replacement for the conventional high-priced paper. The individual components, namely the thermoplastic and the mineral fibers are heavy or non-flammable, so that the paper of the invention meets the requirements of fire protection. In the paper of the invention, the thermoplastic fibers comprise aramid jet spun fibrids and / or aramid staple fibers. Aramid jet spun fibrids are commercially available under the name Twaron D8016. Aramid staple fibers are commercially available under the name Twaron 1080.
According to the invention, the paper contains mineral rockwool fibers, for example of the type MS 675 Rockforce from Lapinus. These serve as a cost-effective and fire-retarding fiber component.
Within the scope of the invention it is preferred that the mineral fibers comprise basalt fibers. These are, in particular, non-respirable basalt fibers. For example, it is short cut fibers with a length of 4 mm.
A preferred development of the invention provides that the paper according to the invention comprises organic binder fibers produced from polyvinyl alcohol (PVA). Preferably, it is polyvinyl alcohol short fibers with 4 mm length, in particular with the designation VPB 105-2.
A preferred variant of the paper according to the invention has the following composition: 30 to 50 percent by weight aramid-jet-spun fibrids, 6 to 10 percent by weight aramid staple fibers, 15 to 30 percent by weight mineral rock wool fibers, 20 to 40 percent by weight basalt fibers, 1 to 10 percent by weight Polyvinyl alcohol produced organic binder fibers, wherein the sum of all proportions is 100 percent by weight.
The paper produced in this way can be produced inexpensively, it is characterized by good mechanical properties and compliance with fire safety regulations.
A particularly preferred variant of the paper according to the invention has the following composition: 36 percent by weight aramid jet spun fibrids, 9 percent by weight aramid staple fibers, 20 percent by weight mineral rock wool fibers, 30 percent by weight basalt fibers and 5 percent by weight organic binder fibers made from polyvinyl alcohol. The paper produced according to the invention may have a basis weight between 30 g / m 2 and 100 g / m 2 . The basis weight is preferably 70 to 80 g / m 2 , particularly preferably 75 g / m 2 .
In addition, the invention relates to a honeycomb structure, which is made of a paper of the type described. The honeycomb structure may include hexagonal honeycombs, also referred to as "honeycomb". Alternatively, the honeycomb structure may comprise sinusoids. Sinusoidal honeycombs are made from wavy (sinusoidal) bent strips of paper that are sandwiched between parallel strips of paper. The hexagonal honeycombs and the sinusoids are preferably provided with an upper and a lower cover layer. The cover layer may be made of a material other than paper, for example, the cover layer may be made of glass fiber reinforced plastic comprising epoxy resin as a matrix material.
A variant of the honeycomb structure provides that the components made of paper are joined together by ultrasonic welding. Due to the advantageous mechanical properties of the paper according to the invention this can be thermally transformed at relatively low temperatures, for. B. on a corrugated system.
The paper according to the invention and the honeycomb structure made of the paper are characterized by a favorable fire behavior, in addition, the raw materials used for the paper are available at low cost.
