- the side brackets are equipped with a fixed retaining pin for holding the rear seat in the front positionand the retaining pin for the rear position is removable, or is locked in the recess of the guide groove which is arranged below the level of the fixed retaining pin.
- the structure of the rear seat locking device may be such that one of the locking pins obstructs the engagement of the lock structure onto the adjacent locking pin. Such a condition can be overcome by moving one of the locking pins below the level of the other through the use of a moveable lock pin and opposing slots as outlined above.
- control lever is equipped with a guide groove with a locking recess for locking the movable retaining pin, wherein the guide groove features an extended end of the fixed pin.

Abstract
Le problème décrit par l'invention est que lors du transport d'un passager assis dans un fauteuil roulant à l'arrière d'une automobile, il peut être nécessaire de ranger ou de retirer les sièges arrière pour accueillir le fauteuil roulant de sorte que le nombre de places assises de l'automobile est réduit. La solution de l'invention concerne un dispositif (1) pour positionner le siège arrière (2) d'une automobile comprenant au moins deux supports latéraux opposés (3) pour monter le siège (2) au plancher (4), chaque support (3) étant équipé d'au moins une goupille de retenue (7) permettant de le verrouiller au système de verrouillage (5) du siège (2), comprenant aussi au moins un montant (6) disposé sous le siège (2) entre les supports (3) et fixé au plancher (2) qui est également équipé d'au moins une goupille de retenue (7) permettant de le verrouiller au système de verrouillage (5) du siège (2). Le montant (6) est équipé d'un moyen de positionnement de la goupille de retenue (7) vers l'avant et vers l'arrière, tandis que les goupilles de retenue (7) dans les supports (3) sont mobiles vers l'avant et vers l'arrière et les goupilles de retenue (7) peuvent être verrouillées au moins dans les positions extrêmes vers l'avant et vers l'arrière.
