- the navigation device 1 displays a map, searches for a route from the current location or a user-selected location to a destination, and has at least a function of guiding the route while showing it on the map, as shown in FIG.
- the navigation device 1 is configured as an in-vehicle device such as a car navigation device or a portable device such as a portable navigation device.
- the storage unit 10 stores the map data 20, the reference table 16, and the opening flag file 17, and includes an arbitrary storage device such as a hard disk drive or a memory device for storing them.
- FIG. 2 is an explanatory diagram of the map data 20.
- the map data 20 is data including information regarding a map including at least information regarding roads (hereinafter referred to as “road information 21”).
- the road information 21 includes at least link information 22 and , And opening information 23.
- the link information 22 is information on a link that connects nodes indicating road branch points (for example, intersections).
- the link information 22 is registered as information with IDs attached to links included in the mesh.
- the mesh refers to the ground surface divided into a large number of squares, and the standardized mesh is called a so-called standard area mesh.
- the opening information 23 is information for distinguishing the opening / closing of a road in the map data 20. That is, the map data 20 includes road information 21 for each of the roads that have been opened at the time of creation and the roads that have not yet been opened (under construction or planned for construction). ing. The opening information 23 is attached to the road information 21 of all the roads, and unopened roads are distinguished based on the opening information 23.
- road information 21 is associated with each link constituting the road. When the link is an unopened road, the value “0” is stored in the road information 21, and when the link is an opened road, the value “1” is stored in the road information 21.
- the value “0” of the road information 21 is added with the letters “future” to facilitate the understanding of the meaning of the value of the road information 21, and the value “1”. It is shown with the letters “normal” attached to.
- FIG. 3 is an explanatory diagram of the reference table 16.
- a road number 25 is assigned to each road in units of roads, and the correspondence between the road number 25 of the road and the links that constitute the road is defined in the reference table 16.
- the link information 22 described above is recorded in association with each road number 25 in the reference table 16.
- the navigation device 1 can identify the road number 25 of the route including the link information 22 by referring to the reference table 16.
- FIG. 4 is an explanatory diagram of the enabling flag file 17.
- the opening flag file 17 indicates information indicating the actual opening status of the road. In this embodiment, the opening flag file 17 does not include information indicating a route newly opened from the unopened state. Yes. Specifically, as shown in FIG. 4, the opening flag file 17 records a road number 25 of a newly opened route and a road name 26 indicating the name of the route in association with each other. The opening flag file 17 is generated for each route, that is, for each road number 25, and the opening flag file 17 and the newly opened route are associated one-to-one. That is, every time a route is opened, the opening flag file 17 indicating the opening of the route is stored in the storage unit 10.
- the opening of the route is identified by the presence of the opening flag file 17, and it is not necessary to rewrite the opening information 23 of the map data 20. Therefore, in the navigation apparatus 1, since it is not necessary to change the map data 20 with the process of opening an unopened road, there is a situation in which the map data 20 cannot be used for processing while the change is being performed. Can be avoided. Further, since there is no need to change the map data 20, there is no fear of the map data 20 being damaged. Furthermore, when a road once opened becomes unopened for some reason, the navigation device 1 can be returned to an unopened state simply by deleting the opening flag file 17 of the road. It will be very easy.
- the navigation device 1 is configured to change the map data 20 every time a road is opened, it is conceivable that the map data 20 is duplicated in case of damage, but such processing is not required. Further, it is not necessary to increase the capacity of the storage unit 10 for duplicating the map data 20.
- the acquisition unit 11 acquires the activation flag file 17 from the outside of the navigation device 1 and stores it in the storage unit 10.
- the opening flag file 17 is distributed from a distribution server such as the map center 40 (FIG. 6) that manages the opening of the road through an arbitrary electric communication line such as the Internet line, or an optical disk, a semiconductor memory, or the like.
- the data is recorded on a recording medium and copied to the navigation device 1.
- the acquisition unit 11 includes a communication device connected to the telecommunication line or a reading device that reads a recording medium, acquires the opening flag file 17 by the communication device or the reading device, and stores it in the storage unit 10.
- the acquisition unit 11 When the acquisition unit 11 stores the activation flag file 17 in the storage unit 10, the acquisition unit 11 adds a file name 27 (see FIG. 4) that can uniquely identify the file, thereby storing the stored activation flag file. 17 prevents the so-called overwrite update.
- the opening flag file 17 is individually stored in the storage unit 10 for each road that is actually opened, the opened road and the opening flag file 17 in the map data 20 are associated one-to-one. Thereby, when canceling the opened road in the map data 20 and returning it to the unopened state, the opening flag file 17 corresponding to the road is deleted, so that the opening of other roads is not affected. Can be returned to non-opening.
- the navigation device 1 cancels the opening of the road and does not open the road, it is only necessary to delete the opening flag file 17, so there is no need to receive information from outside the map center 40 or the like. Further, for example, the navigation device 1 may be configured such that the opening flag file 17 can be deleted based on a user operation.
- the processing unit 12 executes various processes, and includes a navigation processing unit 30 and a map data access control unit 31.
- the processing unit 12 includes a storage device such as a semiconductor memory that stores a program and an arithmetic device such as a CPU or MPU that executes the program.
- the functions of the navigation processing unit 30 and the map data access control unit 31 included in the processing unit 12 are realized by the arithmetic device executing a program stored in the storage device. By changing or adding the program, the function of the processing unit 12 can be arbitrarily changed or added.
- the navigation processing unit 30 executes processing related to navigation based on the map data 20, and this processing includes, for example, route search processing, route guidance processing, map drawing processing, map matching processing, and the like.
- the route search process is a process of searching for a route from the set point to the destination based on the link information 22 of the map data 20, and the route guidance process is a map showing the traveling direction and distance to the destination with the current point as a reference. This is a process of presenting and guiding to the destination.
- the map drawing process is a process for displaying a map (roads, facilities, etc.) based on the map data 20.
- the map matching process is a process for correcting an error in latitude / longitude information of the current location measured by a positioning device (not shown) such as GPS based on the map data 20.
- the map data access control unit 31 determines whether the unopened road referred to in the processing by the navigation processing unit 30 has already been opened. More specifically, among various processes executed by the navigation processing unit 30, for example, in a process such as a route search process and a route guidance process, it is necessary to exclude an unopened road so that a route including an unopened road is not used. (Hereinafter, a process that should exclude an unopened road is referred to as an “unopened road avoidance process”). Therefore, when the road information 21 referred to during the execution of the non-open road avoidance process includes the link information 22 that has not been opened, the navigation processing section 30 inquires the map data access control section 31 about the road opening of the link information 22 and Receive results. If the road has not been opened, the navigation processing unit 30 proceeds with the process using only the opened road except for the road information 21 of the inquired link information 22.
- the navigation processing unit 30 may appropriately perform the opening state confirmation request not only in the unopened road avoidance process but also in other processes.
- the map data access control unit 31 determines whether or not the road of the link information 22 has been opened in response to the opening status confirmation request for the link information 22, and returns the result to the navigation processing unit 30. The determination as to whether or not the opening has been completed is made based on the reference table 16 and the opening flag file 17. Specifically, the map data access control unit 31 specifies the road number 25 of the road corresponding to the link information 22 requested to confirm the opening status based on the reference table 16, and the opening flag including the road number 25 It is determined whether or not the file 17 exists in the storage unit 10. As described above, the opening flag file 17 is stored in the storage unit 10 based on the distribution information from the map center 40 when the road is actually opened.
- the navigation processing unit 30 indicates that the link information 22 is “opened”. I will reply. On the other hand, when the opening flag file 17 does not exist, the navigation processing unit 30 is notified that the link information 22 is “not open”.
- the display unit 13 displays a map necessary for navigation, other menus, and the like based on the processing result of the navigation processing unit 30, and includes an arbitrary display device such as a flat panel display device.
- the display unit 13 does not need to be provided integrally with the navigation device 1, and may be a separate device or a display device that is detachably provided on the main body of the navigation device 1.
- the display device 13 is used as the display unit 13 by transmitting display data to be displayed on the display unit 13 by wire or wireless to another device and displaying the display data on the display device included in the other device. May be.
- the navigation apparatus 1 includes a positioning device such as a GPS or a gyro sensor that measures the current position, an operation device that inputs a user operation, an operation device such as a touch panel, and the like.

- FIG. 5 is a flowchart showing the operation of the processing unit 12 in the unopened road avoidance process.
- the navigation processing unit 30 of the processing unit 12 performs the following process in order to perform the process using only the opened road except the unopened road. Execute. That is, as shown in FIG. 5, every time the navigation processing unit 30 refers to the link information 22 of the road information 21 (step S ⁇ b> 1), the navigation processing unit 30 determines whether or not the road of the link information 22 is not opened based on the opening information 23. Judgment is made (step S2). If it is not unopened (step S2: No), the navigation processing unit 30 proceeds with the process using the link information 22 (step S3). On the other hand, when the link information 22 has not been opened (step S2: YES), the navigation processing unit 30 transmits an opening status confirmation request for the link information 22 to the map data access control unit 31 (step S4).
- the map data access control unit 31 When the map data access control unit 31 receives the request for confirming the opening status of the link information 22, the map data access control unit 31 refers to the link information 22 as a search key in order to determine whether or not the link information 22 is recorded in the reference table 16.
- the table 16 is searched (step S5).
- the map data access control unit 31 acquires the road number 25 of the road corresponding to the link information 22 (step S7). Then, the map data access control unit 31 searches the storage unit 10 for the opening flag file 17 including the road number 25 (step S8).
- step S9 YES
- step S10 the map data access control unit 31 returns a message “opened” to the navigation processing unit 30.
- step S10 the opening flag file 17
- step S11 the opening flag file 17 does not exist
- step S9: NO the road with the road number 25 remains unopened, and the map data access control unit 31 indicates “not open” to the navigation processing unit 30.
- step S12 the navigation processing unit 30 receives a reply of “not yet open”
- the navigation processing unit 30 proceeds with the processing without using the link information 22 (step S13).
- step S6 NO
- the map data access control unit 31 transmits “not yet opened” to the navigation processing unit 30 in order to prohibit the use of the link information 22 whose connection is uncertain.
- FIG. 6 is an explanatory diagram of the operation of the navigation device 1.
- map data 20 used for navigation is stored in the storage unit 10.
- the map data 20 includes, in addition to roads that have actually been opened, unopened roads that have not yet been opened at the time when the map data 20 is recorded.
- opening / not-opening of all roads is distinguished in advance by attaching opening information 23 indicating opening / not-opening to all link information 22 of the map data 20. Since an unopened road is not used in the non-open road avoidance process such as route guidance, for example, when the map 50 based on the map data 20 is displayed on the display unit 13 in this process, it is shown in FIG. Thus, only opened roads (solid lines in the figure) are displayed, and unopened roads (virtual lines in the figure) are not displayed.
- the opening flag file 17 indicating the opening of the road is distributed from an external distribution server such as the map center 40, and the acquisition unit 11 Is stored in the storage unit 10.
- the opening flag file 17 is stored in the storage unit 10, so that FIG. In the processing shown, it is determined that “opened”.
- FIG. 6C in the map display of the display unit 13, roads that are not opened in the opening information 23 of the map data 20 (virtual lines in FIG. 6A) are displayed. Used for route guidance and the like.
- the opening flag file 17 indicating that an unopened road is opened is stored in the storage unit 10 separately from the map data 20, and the unopened road included in the map data 20 The opening is determined based on whether or not the opening flag file 17 corresponding to the unopened road is stored.
- the opening flag file 17 corresponding to the unopened road is stored.
- the opening flag file 17 is configured to be stored individually in the storage unit 10 for each opened road. As a result, in the event that the handling as an open road is to be canceled, it is possible to cancel individually without deleting the opening flag file 17 corresponding to the road and affecting the opening of other roads. it can. Further, since the map data 20 is not changed, the maintenance becomes very easy.
- the map data 20 includes opening information 23 for distinguishing the opening and closing of each road, so that the processing unit 12 can open the road based on the opening information 23, And it can be easily distinguished from not opened.
- the processing unit 12 treats the road as an open road and executes a process related to navigation, so that the map data 20 is not changed. Accurate navigation reflecting the opening of the open road becomes possible.
- the map data 20 may be stored in the storage unit 10 by dividing the map display data 20A and the search data 20B.
- the map display data 20A is data including information necessary for displaying a map
- the search data 20B is data including information necessary for route search processing.
- the reference table 16 includes a map display reference table 16A corresponding to the map display data 20A, and a search reference table 16B corresponding to the search data 20B.
- the reference table 16 is not limited to the configuration including the map display reference table 16A and the search reference table 16B, and the reference table 16 common to the map display data 20A and the search data 20B may be configured. .
- the map center 40 instead of transmitting the opening flag file 17 to the navigation device 1, the map center 40 transmits information including the road number of the actually opened road, and the navigation device 1
- the one processing unit 12 may generate the opening flag file 17 based on the information and store it in the storage unit 10.
- the navigation device 1 may acquire the information from a recording medium such as an optical disc in which information including the road number of the actually opened road is recorded, generate the opening flag file 17, and store the information. .
- the opening flag file 17 is provided for each link information 22 of the opened road, and it is determined whether or not the unopened link information 22 included in the map data 20 is opened. A determination may be made based on whether or not the opening flag file 17 of the link information 22 is stored. According to this configuration, it is possible to determine whether or not the road indicated by the link information 22 is open without using the reference table 16.
- the link information 22 of the opened road is recorded in the reference table 16, and it is determined whether or not the unopened link information 22 included in the map data 20 is opened. The determination may be based on whether or not the link information 22 is recorded in the reference table 16. According to this configuration, it is not necessary to store all the activation flag files 17 acquired from the outside, and the activation can be determined only by referring to the reference table 16.
- a deactivation flag file indicating a road that has been blocked due to reasons such as abandonment or construction is stored in the storage unit 10 as information indicating the road opening status, and each road of the map data 20
- the blocking flag file can use data including at least the road number 25 of the disabled line or the link information 22 of the route. According to this configuration, it is possible to easily reflect the road that has actually been disconnected without changing the map data 20 in the process. In addition, when a road that has been interrupted is actually restarted, the navigation device 1 only needs to delete the disabling flag file without changing the map data 20. Reflection is very easy.
- the navigation device 1 includes a GPS receiving unit having a circuit for receiving a GPS signal, for example, and the processing unit 12 calculates the current date and time based on the GPS signal received by the GPS receiving unit. Whether the road is actually opened is determined based on the time and information on the scheduled opening date of the opening flag file 17 acquired by the acquiring unit 11.
- FIG. 8 is a diagram showing a configuration of a distribution system 100 according to this modification.
- This distribution system 100 is a system that periodically distributes the opening status file 117 and the map update data 120A to the navigation device 1, and as shown in FIG. 8, a distribution server 140 provided in the map center 40, The navigation apparatus 1 mounted on a vehicle 61 is provided.
- the distribution server 140 and the navigation apparatus 1 communicate with each other via the electric communication line 60, and the opening status file 117 and the map update data 120A are distributed by this communication.
- the telecommunications line 60 includes a fixed communication network such as the Internet and a mobile communication network such as a mobile phone network and a wireless LAN.
- the distribution server 140 is connected to the fixed communication network.
- the navigation device 1 communicates with the distribution server 140 through For communication between the navigation device 1 and the mobile communication network, a mobile phone such as a smartphone can be used as a repeater.
- the opening status file 117 is a data file generated every predetermined opening status distribution period (for example, one month). In this opening status file 117, information on routes whose opening status has changed during the opening status distribution period is recorded. In other words, the opening status file 117 corresponds to a data file in which the opening flag file 17 described in the embodiment is recorded for the path whose opening status has changed during the opening status distribution period.
- a name for example, “file name” assigned to identify the data of the opening status file 117 (hereinafter referred to as “file name”) is determined in advance. "AAA.dat” etc.) is attached and distributed.
- the map update data 120A is data for reflecting actual road conditions at the time of distribution in the map data 20 stored in the navigation device 1, and is generated every predetermined map update period (for example, one year). , Distributed to the navigation device 1. Specifically, the map update data 120A includes road information 21 for roads that have changed during the map update period. When the navigation device 1 updates the map data 20 based on the road information 21 of the map update data 120A, the map data 20 reflects the actual road conditions at the time of distribution. For example, information on roads whose opening conditions have changed during the map update period and roads newly planned for construction are reflected in the map data 20.
- the opening status distribution period of the opening status file 117 is set to a period shorter than the map updating period of the map update data 120A, and the opening status file 117 is between the map updating period (for example, one year) of the map update data 120A.
- the map data 20 updated with the map update data 120A is distributed over a plurality of times.
- the map update data 120A and the opening status file 117 are generated in the map center 40, and the distribution server 140 distributes them.
- the distribution form of the map update data 120A and the opening status file 117 may be either push distribution or pull distribution.
- FIG. 9 is a schematic diagram of the opening status file 117.
- the opening status file 117 for each road number 25, the road name 26, the opening status 62, and the scheduled opening date 63 are recorded in association with each other.
- the road number 25 and the road name 26 indicate the road line, and the road name 26 indicates the name of the road.
- the opening status 62 indicates the opening status of the route at the time of distribution. When a route that has not been opened is opened, the opening status 62 of the route is “open”. On the contrary, when the opened route is not opened, the opening status 62 of the route is “not opened”. Further, when a new route scheduled to be opened at the time of distribution, the opening status 62 of the route becomes “not opened”.
- the scheduled opening date 63 indicates the scheduled opening date of the route.
- the scheduled opening date 63 does not indicate a schedule ahead of the distribution date of the opening status file 117, but merely indicates the planned opening date of the route regardless of the distribution date. For example, when a route is scheduled to be opened on the day before the delivery of the opening status file 117 (including when the route is actually opened), the scheduled opening date 63 of the route is earlier than the delivery date. Date.
- the opening status file 117 includes not only information on routes whose opening status has changed during the current opening status distribution period but also information on routes whose opening status has changed since the map update data 120A was distributed. Has been recorded cumulatively. As a result, in the navigation device 1, if the most recent opening status file 117 is received, the previous opening in addition to the current time is received even if the opening status file 117 distributed every opening status distribution period is not received. You will be able to get all the opening status of the route up to the minute. Further, the distribution server 140 does not need to manage the opening status file 117 that has been received by the navigation device 1.
- the navigation device 1 When the navigation device 1 receives the opening status file 117 from the distribution server 140 or 140, the navigation device 1 stores it in the storage unit 10. In this storage, if the opening status file 117 for the previous delivery exists in the storage unit 10, the navigation device 1 overwrites the opening status file 117 for the current reception with the opening status file 117 of the storage unit 10. Is replaced with the data received this time.
- the navigation device 1 excludes the route recorded in the map data 20 whose opening status is “not open” (that is, the opening status is “open”).
- Route search and route guidance (guidance). Specifically, for each route (link) referred to in the map data 20, the navigation device 1 determines whether or not a change in the opening status of the route is recorded in the opening status file 117. For the route recorded in the opening status file 117, the navigation apparatus 1 determines whether or not this route is open based on the opening status 62, the scheduled opening date 63, and the current date of the opening status file 117. Is identified. On the other hand, for a route that is not recorded in the opening status file 117, the navigation device 1 specifies whether or not this route is open based on the opening information 23 of the road information 21.
- the navigation device 1 specifies whether or not each route that is referred to in the map data 20 is opened, and performs route guidance by excluding routes that are not opened.
- this route guidance when the navigation device 1 displays a map based on the map data 20 on the display unit 13, the navigation device 1 may display a route (road) that is not opened in the map.
- a route road
- it is preferable that an unopened route is displayed with an identifier (a character or a symbol) that allows the user to identify that the route is not open.
- the opening status file 117 includes information on only routes that have already been opened and is not opened at the time of distribution (that is, in the future). It may be configured not to include information on routes that are scheduled to be opened. According to this configuration, only by determining whether or not the route to be referred to in the map data 20 by the navigation device 1 is included in the opening status file 117, the non-opening is performed by referring to the opening status 62 of the route. It is possible to specify that the route has been opened without confirming that it is not. This reduces the time required for route search in the navigation process.
- FIG. 10 shows a configuration in which the opening status file 117 includes the opening status 62, but when the opening status file 117 has a configuration that does not include information on routes that are not opened at the time of distribution, It is not necessary to include the opening status 62.

Abstract
