Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Strangführungsrolle (30) zum Führen eines Stahlstrangs in einer Stranggießmaschine und ein Verfahren zum Kühlen der Strangführungsrolle (30) durch ein Kühlmedium. Die Aufgabe der Erfindung ist es, eine besonders robuste gekühlte Strangführungsrolle (30) darzustellen. Diese Aufgabe löst eine Strangführungsrolle (30), aufweisend - einen linken (10a) und einen rechten Lagerbock (10b); - eine stillstehende Achse (11), wobei die stillstehende Achse (11) mit dem linken (10a) und mit dem rechten Lagerbock (10b) drehsteif verbunden ist; - einen zylindrischen Rollenmantel (12) und ein linkes (13a) und ein rechtes Lager (13b), wobei der Rollenmantel (12) durch das linke und das rechte Lager (13a, 13b) gegenüber der stillstehenden Achse (11) drehbar gelagert ist; und - einen Wasserleitmantel (1), wobei der Wasserleitmantel (1) Kühlwasser von einem linken Hohlraum (14a) zwischen der Achse (11) und dem Wasserleitmantel (1) im Bereich des linken Lagers (13a) in einen Längsraum (16) zwischen dem Wasserleitmantel (1) und dem Rollenmantel (12), entlang des Längsraums (16) in axialer (x) und tangentialer Richtung (t), und vom Längsraum (16) in einen rechten Hohlraum (14b) zwischen dem Wasserleitmantel (1) und der Achse (11) im Bereich des rechten Lagers (13b) leiten kann.
