- lithium ion capacitors that combine the storage principles of lithium ion secondary batteries and electric double layer capacitors have attracted attention as power storage devices for applications that require high energy density and high output characteristics.
- the energy density can be greatly increased by lowering the negative electrode potential by previously storing and supporting lithium ions (hereinafter also referred to as “dope”) in the negative electrode by an electrochemical method or the like. .
- International Publication No. 2010/073930 discloses an electrochemical contact between a negative electrode and a lithium ion supply source in a wound body obtained by winding a positive electrode and a negative electrode disposed via a separator and a lithium ion supply source. Discloses a technique for doping lithium ions into the negative electrode.
- the wound body is accommodated in an exterior body having a circular cross-sectional shape, the cross-sectional shape of the wound body is substantially circular.
- the wound body as described above may have, for example, a cross-sectional shape other than a circular shape, depending on the shape of the packaged body to be accommodated.
- a wound body there are cases where lithium ions from a lithium ion supply source cannot be doped to the negative electrode with good uniformity.
- lithium dendrite may be deposited during repeated charging and discharging, and the lithium dendrite may penetrate through the separator, causing the positive electrode and the negative electrode to be short-circuited. As a result, the life of the electricity storage device is shortened and the reliability may be lowered.
- the present invention has been made to solve the above-described problems.
- FIG. 1 One aspect of a method for manufacturing an electricity storage device according to the present invention Winding a positive electrode, a negative electrode, and a lithium ion supply source having a plurality of portions arranged in a winding direction with a gap therebetween, and forming a wound body having a flat portion and a curved portion, In the step of forming the wound body, The wound body is formed so that the gap is located at the curved portion.
- At least part of the lithium ion supply source may be located outside the positive electrode and the negative electrode.

- Application Example 5 In Application Example 4, at least a part of the lithium ion supply source may be located outside the positive electrode and the negative electrode.
- the thickness T1 of the thin portion and the thickness T2 of the thick portion are: The relationship of 3/10 ⁇ T1 / T2 ⁇ 7/10 may be satisfied.
- the method may further include a step of doping the negative electrode with lithium ions released from the lithium ion supply source.
- a separator may be disposed between the positive electrode and the negative electrode.
- the electricity storage device manufactured by the method for manufacturing an electricity storage device according to any one of Application Examples 1 to 9 may be a lithium ion capacitor.
- a positive electrode, a negative electrode, and a metal foil having a plurality of portions arranged with a gap in the winding direction include a wound wound body, The wound body has a flat portion and a curved portion, The gap is disposed in the curved portion.
