Definitions
- the present invention relates to a solar cell sealing film for sealing a solar cell element and bonding and integrating with each member, and a solar cell using the same.
- the solar cell includes a surface side transparent protective member 11 made of a glass substrate or the like, a surface side sealing film 13 ⁇ / b> A, a solar cell 14 such as a silicon power generation element, a back side sealing film 13 ⁇ / b> B, And the back-side protection member 12 are laminated in this order, degassed under reduced pressure, and then heated and pressurized to crosslink and cure the surface-side sealing film 13A and the back-side sealing film 13B to be bonded and integrated.
- the in the solar battery a plurality of solar battery cells 14 are electrically connected by connection tabs 15 in order to obtain a high electrical output.
- an ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer (EVA) film is used as a sealing film for solar cells (hereinafter also referred to as a sealing film for short) because it is inexpensive and has high transparency and adhesiveness.
- EVA ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer
- Patent Document 1 a sealing film for solar cells
- the EVA film is cross-linked using a cross-linking agent. Each member is bonded and integrated with adhesiveness and adhesive strength.
- EVA contains vinyl acetate as a constituent component, it tends to hydrolyze with time due to high temperature moisture during installation, and acetic acid is likely to be generated, which may promote the generation of rust by contact with internal conductors and electrodes. Therefore, a sealing film that can suppress the generation of acid is required.
- the sealing film using EVA having excellent insulating properties it is possible to suppress the generation of a leakage current that causes a decrease in power generation efficiency, but in recent years, since further improvement in power generation efficiency is required, There is a need for further improvement in the insulation of the sealing film. And especially in the surface side sealing film, in order to make sunlight enter into the cell for solar cells, without absorbing or reflecting, the high transparency is also calculated
- an object of the present invention is to provide a sealing film for a solar cell in which generation of acid is suppressed, transparency is high, and insulation is improved.
- Another object of the present invention is to provide a solar cell using this solar cell sealing film.
- the object includes an ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer (EVA), an ethylene-methyl methacrylate copolymer (EMMA), and a crosslinking agent, and the ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer and the ethylene-methyl methacrylate copolymer
- EVA ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer
- EMMA ethylene-methyl methacrylate copolymer
- the mass ratio (EVA: EMMA) is 10:90 to 90:10, and is achieved by a solar cell sealing film.
- the above object is also achieved by a solar cell characterized in that a solar cell element is sealed with this solar cell sealing film.
- the sealing film for solar cells of the present invention contains EVA and EMMA in the above ratio, generation of acid is suppressed, insulation and transparency are excellent, and hardness when crosslinked can be improved. Therefore, by using the solar cell sealing film of the present invention, a solar cell having high durability and high power generation efficiency can be obtained.
- the solar cell sealing film of the present invention contains an ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer (EVA) and an ethylene-methyl methacrylate copolymer (EMMA), and the mass ratio (EVA: EMMA) is 90:10 to 10:90.
- EVA ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer
- EMMA ethylene-methyl methacrylate copolymer
- EMMA ethylene-methyl methacrylate copolymer
- EVA ethylene-methyl methacrylate copolymer
- EMMA has low crosslinkability and protects the light-receiving surface side.
- the hardness for supporting the glass of the member may be low, and since the turbidity (haze) is relatively high, transparency may not be sufficiently obtained. Therefore, by using EVA and EMMA in combination at the above mass ratio, generation of acid is suppressed, and it becomes possible to obtain a sealing film that has a high hardness after crosslinking and a high level of transparency.
- EMMA has a high insulating property, it becomes a sealing film having a better insulating property than a conventional sealing film.
- the cure torque value which is an index of the degree of crosslinking, may decrease or the turbidity (haze) may increase.
- EMMA is less than the above range (when EVA is large)
- sufficient insulation may not be obtained, or the amount of acid generated at high temperature and high humidity may increase.
- the mass ratio (EVA: EMMA) is preferably 75:25 to 10:90, 50:50 to 10:90, and more preferably 25:75 to 15:85.
- EMMA mass ratio
- the mass ratio (EVA: EMMA) is preferably 75:25 to 10:90, 50:50 to 10:90, and more preferably 25:75 to 15:85.
- the sealing film for solar cells of the present invention has a volume resistivity value after crosslinking of 1E + 15 ⁇ ⁇ cm or more, preferably 2E + 15 ⁇ ⁇ cm or more, and further, a crosslinking reaction at 150 ° C. for 15 minutes. It is advantageous that the cure torque value when performing is 5 N ⁇ cm or more, preferably 7 N ⁇ cm or more.
- the vinyl acetate content in EVA is 20 to 35% by mass, preferably 22 to 30% by mass, and particularly preferably 24 to 28% by mass. If it is less than 20% by mass, sufficient transparency may not be obtained, and if it exceeds 35% by mass, the amount of acetic acid generated under high-temperature and high-humidity conditions may increase.
- the content of methyl methacrylate in EMMA is preferably 20 to 35% by mass, preferably 22 to 30% by mass, and particularly preferably 24 to 28% by mass. If it is lower than 20% by mass, the transparency may decrease, and if it is higher than 35% by mass, the workability may decrease.
- the melt flow rate (MFR) of EVA and EMMA is preferably 35 g / 10 min or less, particularly 3 to 10 g / 10 min. If it is this range, it can suppress that a sealing film raise
- the value of the melt flow rate (MFR) is measured based on the conditions of 190 ° C. and a load of 21.18 N according to JIS K7210.
- the solar cell sealing film of the present invention uses polyvinyl acetal resin (for example, polyvinyl formal, polyvinyl butyral (PVB resin), modified PVB), and vinyl chloride resin as a secondary agent. May be.
- polyvinyl acetal resin for example, polyvinyl formal, polyvinyl butyral (PVB resin), modified PVB
- PVB resin polyvinyl butyral
- vinyl chloride resin vinyl chloride resin
- the sealing film for solar cells of the present invention contains a crosslinking agent.
- a crosslinking agent an organic peroxide or a photopolymerization initiator is preferably used.
