Abstract
Die Erfindung betrifft einen Radialwellendichtring (1), aufweisend einen Versteifungsring (3) und ein mit dem Versteifungsring (3) verbundenes Elastomerteil (5), das eine dynamische Dichtlippe (9) trägt, die von einem mit dem Elastomerteil (5) verbundenen Ringbauteil (11) gebildet wird, das eine Dichtkante (21) aus PTFE aufweist, die ausgebildet ist, an einer von dem Radialwellendichtring (1) abzudichtenden Welle dichtend anzuliegen.
Description
B e s c h r e i b u n g
Radialwellendichtring
Die Erfindung betrifft einen Radialwellendichtring, aufweisend einen Versteifungsring und ein mit dem Versteifungsring verbundenes Elastomerteil, das eine dynamische Dichtlippe trägt.
Die DE 10 2007 036 625 AI beschreibt ein Dichtelement zum Abdichten einer bestimmungsgemäß zum Drehen vorgesehenen Welle an einer Durchtrittsöffnung eines Gehäuseteils für die Welle. Das Dichtelement weist ein Versteifungsteil und ein mit dem Versteifungsteil verbundenes Elastomerteil auf. Das Elastomerteil umfasst einen ersten Dichtbereich für ein statisch abdichtendes Anliegen am Gehäuseteil und das Elastomerteil umfasst einen zweiten Dichtbereich mit einem zum abdichtenden Anliegen an der Welle ausgebildeten und vorgesehenen Dichtabschnitt, der für ein Rückfördern eines Leckagefluids in einen abzudichtenden Raum eine gewindeartige Rückförderstruktur umfasst und der bei bestimmungsgemäß an der Welle anliegendem Dichtabschnitt an seinem freien axialen Ende mit einer auf einem Kreiszylindermantel verlaufenden, in Umfang srichtung in sich geschlossenen Linie ausgebildet ist, die wenigstens bei sich nicht drehender Welle zum abdichtenden Anliegen an der Welle vorgesehen ist.
Aufgabe der Erfindung ist es, einen Radialwellendichtring mit verbesserten Laufund/oder Dichtungseigenschaften zu schaffen.
Die Aufgabe der Erfindung wird gelöst durch einen Radialwellendichtring, aufweisend einen Versteifungsring und ein mit dem Versteifungsring verbundenes E- lastomerteil, das eine dynamische Dichtlippe trägt, die von einem mit dem Elastomerteil verbundenen Ringbauteil gebildet wird, das eine Dichtkante aus PTFE aufweist, die ausgebildet ist, an einer von dem Radialwellendichtring abzudichtenden Welle dichtend anzuliegen. Die Dichtkante kann als eine an der abzudichtenden Welle linienberührend anliegende scharfkantige Dichtkante ausgebildet sein. Alternativ kann die Dichtkante als eine an der abzudichtenden Welle flächig anliegende Dichtfläche, insbesondere Kreisringinnenfläche ausgebildet sein.
Das Ringbauteil kann auch als hülsenförmiger Körper bezeichnet werden. Das Ringbauteil bzw. der hülsenförmige Körper kann dabei eine höhere Steifigkeit und/oder Festigkeit aufweisen, als das Elastomerteil. Das Ringbauteil kann insoweit von einem Hohlkreiszylinderabschnitt gebildet werden, der eine innere Mantelwand aufweist, an der die Dichtkante aus Polytetrafluorethylen (PTFE) angebracht ist. Statt einer einzelnen Dichtkante können mehrere Dichtkanten aus Polytetrafluorethylen (PTFE) vorgesehen sein. Die einzelne Dichtkante oder die mehreren Dichtkanten können eine gewindeartige Rückförderstruktur beispielsweise für Öl bilden.
Das Ringbauteil kann aus einem nichtelastomeren Material in Gestalt eines Hohlkreiszylinderabschnitts gebildet werden, der mit dem Elastomerteil verbunden, insbesondere an das Elastomerteil anvulkanisiert ist, und dessen innere Mantelwand die Dichtkante aus PTFE aufweist. Für eine gute Anbindung des Ringbauteils an das Elastomerteil kann das Ringbauteil eine angeschrägte, insbesondere kegelige Stirnseite aufweisen, die eine Kontaktfläche zum Anvulkanisieren an das Elastomerteil aufweist.
Das Elastomerteil kann einen radialen Dichtlippenabschnitt und einen axialen Dichtlippenabschnitt aufweisen und das Ringbauteil kann mit dem axialen Dichtlippenabschnitt verbunden sein.
Das Ringbauteil kann aus PTFE bestehen. Das Ringbauteil kann insbesondere vollständig aus PTFE bestehen. Das Ringbauteil und die Dichtkante können einteilig aus PTFE hergestellt sein.
Das Elastomerteil kann eine statische Dichtlippe aufweisen. Die statische Dichtlippe ist in ihrer Gestalt, Anordnung und Größe an das Ringbauteil bzw. die Dichtkante aus PTFE angepasst, d.h. auf das Ringbauteil bzw. die Dichtkante aus PTFE abgestimmt.
Die statische Dichtlippe kann durch einen nach innen vorspringenden Ringwulst an einem axialen Dichtlippenabschnitt des Elastomerteils gebildet werden. Die statische Dichtlippe, insbesondere der Ringwulst, kann einen kleineren Innendurchmesser als die Dichtkante der dynamischen Dichtlippe aufweisen. Dies bedeutet, dass die statische Dichtlippe über die Dichtkante der dynamischen Dichtlippe hinaus nach innen, d.h. radial in Richtung einer abzudichtenden Welle vorspringt. Die statische Dichtlippe kann im Querschnitt eine halbkreisförmige Gestalt aufweisen.
Die statische Dichtlippe kann sich an dem axialen Dichtlippenabschnitt in der Nähe eines bogenförmigen Übergangsbereichs zu dem radialen Dichtlippenabschnitt befinden.
In allen Ausführungen des Radialwellendichtrings kann die statische Dichtlippe einteilig mit einer Membrananbindung hergestellt sein. Die Membrananbindung kann durch den Übergangsabschnitt zwischen axialem und radialem Dichtlippenabschnitt gebildet werden.
Zusammenfassend kann die Erfindung, mitunter anders ausgedrückt, somit eine Lösung insbesondere für reibungs optimierte PTFE-Dichtungen bereitstellen.
PTFE- Werkstoffe sind im Allgemeinen weniger flexibel als Elastomer- Werkstoffe und müssen zur sicheren Funktion bei Radialwellendichtringen in Toleranzgrenzla-
gen mit relativ hohen Anpresskräften ausgelegt werden. Eine solch steife Auslegun kann erhöhte Reibverluste zur Folge haben. Zudem sind PTFE- Werkstoffe grundsätzlich eher nicht gasdicht, so dass beispielsweise bei einer Montageendprüfung des Radialwellendichtringen, insbesondere bei einer Gasdichtigkeitsprüfung zu unerwünschten Gasleckagen führen können, die durch Auftragen zusätzlicher Dichtmittel aufgefangen werden müssen.
PTFE-Dichtungen werden deshalb mit unter in verschiedenen Motoren, die Radialwellendichtrmg aufweisen, durch ähnlich ausgeführte Elastomer- Wellendichtringe ersetzt. Elastomer- Wellendichtringe sind im Allgemeinen allerdings weniger druck stabil in der Anwendung.
Erfindungsgemäß kann die Dichtlippe aus einem hülsenförmigen PTFE-Körper, d.h. einem Ringbauteil bestehen, welcher über eine flexible Elastomer-Membran, d.h. einem Elastomerteil des Radialwellendichtrmg s an einen Versteifungsring angebunden ist. In der Elastomer-Membran kann eine zusätzliche statische
Dichtspur, d.h. eine statische Dichtlippe mit nur sehr geringer Überdeckung zur Welle angebracht sein, welche die Abdichtung beispielsweise in einem Gasdichtigkeitstest übernimmt. Der PTFE-Dichtkörper kann mit geringerer Anpresskraft ausgelegt werden, da die Elastomer-Membran aufgrund ihrer höheren Flexibilität bzw. Elastizität einen Ausgleich von Fertigungstoleranzen zu einem großen Teil übernehmen kann. Damit können die Reibwerte der Dichtung weiter optimiert werden. Eine statische Dichtung kann für Gasdichtigkeitstests in den Radialwellendichtrmg integriert sein. Es können sich Vorteile bzgl. Materialkosten und Kosten einer PTFE- Aktivierung ergeben.
Zwei Ausführungsbeispiele der Erfindung sind exemplarisch in den beigefügten schematischen Zeichnungen dargestellt. Es zeigen:
Figur 1 einen Längsschnitt durch einen Abschnitt der oberen Hälfte eines Radial wellendichtrings mit einer beispielhaften Ausführung eines erfindungsgemäßen Ringbauteils,
Figur 2 einen Längsschnitt durch einen Abschnitt der oberen Hälfte eines Radi- alwellendichtrings mit einer alternativen Ausführung eines erfindungsgemäßen Ringbauteils.
Die Fig. 1 zeigt als Ausführungsbeispiel der Erfindung einen Längsschnitt durch einen Abschnitt der oberen Hälfte eines Radial wellendichtrings 1. Dabei weist der Radialwellendichtring 1 einen Versteifungsring 3 sowie ein mit dem Versteifungsring 3 verbundenes, einstückig ausgebildetes Elastomerteil 5 auf. Der Versteifungsring 3 ist dabei beispielsweise aus einem Blech hergestellt. Das Elastomerteil 5 ist durch ein Anvulkanisieren an den Versteifungsring 3 mit diesem verbunden.
Das Elastomerteil 5 weist einen statischen Dichtbereich 7 auf, dessen Außenmantel zum statisch dichten Anliegen an einem nicht dargestellten Gehäuseteil im Bereich einer Durchtrittsöffnung, beispielsweise eines Gehäuses für eine abzudichtende, ebenfalls nicht dargestellte Welle ausgebildet ist.
Das Elastomerteil 5 weist eine dynamische Dichtlippe 9 auf, die bei bestimmungsgemäßem Einbau des Radialwellendichtring s 1 an der nicht dargestellten Welle anliegt. Die Dichtlippe 9 weist ein Ringbauteil 11 auf. Die Dichtlippe 9 kann insbesondere ein Ringbauteil 11 aufweisen, welches vor Montage auf die Welle vorzugsweise eine Kegelform mit einem Winkel zwischen 5° und 30° aufweist. Dieses Ringbauteil 11 ist mit einer gewindeartigen Rückförderstruktur 13 versehen. Die gewindeartige Rückförderstruktur 13 ist in Fig. 1 stark überzeichnet dargestellt. Statt der dargestellten drei Umläufe von Gängen kann die Rückförderstruktur 13 auch mehr als drei Gänge aufweisen. Die Steigung der Gänge ist tatsächlich deutlich kleiner als dargestellt. Die Steigung der Gänge kann beispielsweise 0,2 mm oder 1,0 mm betragen.
An einem freien Ende 17 eines axialen Dichtlippenabschnitts 9a trägt die Dichtlippe 9 das Ringbauteil 11.
Wie im Ausführungsbeispiel der Fig. 1 dargestellt, weist die dynamische Dichtlippe 9 einen axialen Dichtlippenabschnitt 9a und einen radialen Dichtlippenabschnitt 9b auf. Der axiale Dichtlippenabschnitt 9a weist für ein abdichtendes Anliegen an einer Welle eine Dichtkante 21 auf, die an einer der Welle zugewandten inneren Mantelwand 15 des axialen Dichtlippenabschnitts 9a angeordnet ist.
Die axiale Richtung bezieht sich dabei auf die axiale Erstreckung der Welle bzw. der Wellenachse. Dies bedeutet auch, dass die axiale Richtung sich auf die axiale Erstreckung des hohlzylindrischen axialen Dichtlippenabschnitts 9a bezieht. Diese axiale Erstreckung entspricht dabei der Rotationsachse der hohlzylindrischen Grundform des axialen Dichtlippenabschnitts 9a. Bezogen auf die hohlzylindrische Grundform des axialen Dichtlippenabschnitts 9a ergeben sich auch die Bezugnahmen auf die innere Mantelwand 15 des Ringbauteils 11.
Der axiale Dichtlippenabschnitt 9a ist im Ausführungsbeispiel aus einem Elastomer hergestellt. An einem freien Ende 17 des elastomeren axialen Dichtlippenabschnitt 9a ist eine Dichtkante 21 aus Polytetrafluorethylen (PTFE) angebracht. Die Dichtkante 21 aus Polytetrafluorethylen (PTFE) ist dabei an einer inneren Mantelwand 15 des Ringbauteils 11 ausgebildet. Das Ringbauteil 11 ist im Ausführungsbeispiel einstückig mit der Dichtkante 21 ausgebildet. Das Ringbauteil 11 und die Dichtkante 21 bestehen insoweit beide gemeinsam aus Polytetrafluorethylen (PTFE). Das Ringbauteil 11 ist an den elastomeren axialen Dichtlippenabschnitt 9a des Elastomerteils 9 anvulkanisiert.
Das Elastomerteil 5, insbesondere der axiale Dichtlippenabschnitt 9a weist eine statische Dichtlippe 19 auf. Die statische Dichtlippe 19 wird im gezeigten Ausführungsbeispiel durch einen nach innen vorspringenden Ringwulst an dem axialen
Dichtlippenabschnitt 9a des Elastomerteils 5 gebildet. Die statische Dichtlippe 19 befindet sich an dem axialen Dichtlippenabschnitt 9a in der Nähe eines bogenförmigen Übergangsbereichs einer Membrananbindung 9c zu dem radialen Dichtlippenabschnitt 9b.
Die statische Dichtlippe 19, insbesondere der Ringwulst, weist einen kleineren Innendurchmesser als die Dichtkante 21 der dynamischen Dichtlippe 9 auf. Dies bedeutet, dass die die statische Dichtlippe 19 über die Dichtkante 21 der dynamischen Dichtlippe 9 hinaus nach innen, d.h. radial in Richtung einer abzudichtenden Welle vorspringt. Die statische Dichtlippe 19 kann im Querschnitt eine halbkreisförmige Gestalt aufweisen.
Alternativ kann, wie im Ausführungsbeispiel der Fig. 2 dargestellt, die statische Dichtlippe 19 auch an der Stirnseite der Dichtkante 21 angebracht sein. In der alternativen Ausführung gemäß Fig. 2 kann außerdem die statische Dichtlippe 19 über einen oder mehrere Elastomerstege 22, insbesondere im axialen Querschnitt dünne, sich axial erstreckende, an einem Außenumfang des Ringbauteils 11 verteilte E- lastomerstege 22 mit dem axialen Dichtlippenabschnitt 9a und/oder, wie in Fig. 2 dargestellt, mit dem radialen Dichtlippenabschnitt 9b insbesondere einstückig verbunden sein.

Claims
1. Radialwellendichtring, aufweisend einen Versteifungsring (3) und ein mit dem Versteifungsring (3) verbundenes Elastomerteil (5), das eine dynamische Dichtlippe (9) trägt, die von einem mit dem Elastomerteil (5) verbundenen Ringbauteil (11) gebildet wird, das eine Dichtkante (21) aus PTFE aufweist, die ausgebildet ist, an einer von dem Radialwellendichtring (1) abzudichtenden Welle dichtend anzuliegen.
2. Radialwellendichtring nach Anspruch 1, bei dem das Ringbauteil (11) aus einem nichtelastomeren Material in Gestalt eines Hohlkreiszylinderabschnitts gebildet wird, der mit dem Elastomerteil (5) verbunden, insbesondere an das Elastomerteil (5) anvulkanisiert ist, und dessen innere Mantelwand (15) die Dichtkante (21) aus PTFE aufweist.
3. Radialwellendichtring nach Anspruch 1 oder 2, bei dem das Elastomerteil (5) einen radialen Dichtlippenabschnitt (9b) und einen axialen Dichtlippenabschnitt (9a) aufweist und das Ringbauteil (11) mit dem axialen Dichtlippenabschnitt (9a) verbunden ist.
4. Radialwellendichtring nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 3, bei dem das Ringbauteil (11) aus PTFE besteht.
5. Radialwellendichtrmg nach 4, bei dem das Ringbauteil (11) und die Dichtkante (21) einteilig aus PTFE hergestellt sind.
6. Radialwellendichtrmg nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 5, bei dem das Elastomerteil (5) eine statische Dichtlippe (19) aufweist.
7. Radialwellendichtrmg nach Anspruch 6, bei dem die statische Dichtlippe (19) durch einen nach innen vorspringenden Ringwulst an einem axialen Dichtlippenabschnitt (9a) des Elastomerteils (5) gebildet wird.
8. Radialwellendichtrmg nach Anspruch 6 oder 7, bei dem die statische Dichtlippe (19), insbesondere der Ringwulst, einen kleineren Innendurchmesser als die Dichtkante (21) der dynamischen Dichtlippe (9) aufweist.
9. Radialwellendichtrmg nach Anspruch 6, 7 oder 8, bei dem die statische Dichtlippe (19) einteilig mit der Membrananbindung (9c) hergestellt ist.
