パイプフレーム89は、シートレール67を含むように車両後部まで延ばされ、シートレール67は、断面が円形状から横長扁平形状に変形されているので、シート受け、リヤフェンダ、トレイ、電装部品等の各要素部品が取付け易い。
また、実施例によれば、迂回部から上方へ膨出する膨出部を省くことは差し支えない。
この構造によれば、メインフレームの前部に、ヘッドパイプ後面下端から車両後方斜め上方へ延ばされシリンダの上面を迂回する迂回部が設けられている。
ヘッドパイプからメインフレームが延びる従来の構造では、エンジンの高さ方向寸法が大きい場合には、メインフレームを上げ、連動してヘッドパイプも上げる必要がでる。あるいは、ヘッドパイプを下げるには、エンジンの高さ寸法を小さくする必要がある。
この点、この構造では、ヘッドパイプからシリンダ上面を迂回する迂回部を介してメインフレームを延ばした。すなわち、迂回部を採用したことにより、ヘッドパイプを低位置に配置し、メインフレームを高位置に配置することができる。メインフレームが高位置にあれば、エンジンのメンテナンス性は高まる。
ヘッドパイプが低位置であれば、前輪を小径化する等の前輪操向装置のコンパクト化が図れる。
迂回部は、車両前方ほど低位置になるため、メインフレームの前部に車載部品を取付ける場合に取付が難しくなる。
この点、この構造によれば、メインフレームは、迂回部の上方にヘッドパイプの後面上端よりも上方へ膨出する膨出部を設けたので、取付部位が高くなり車載部品の取付が容易になる。
仮に迂回部の後方に燃料タンクの前部を支持させるとすると、燃料タンクの車両前後方向長さが小さくなり、タンク容量に影響がでる。
この点、この構造によれば、膨出部は、迂回部の前部に設けられているため、膨出部に燃料タンクの前部を支持させれば、燃料タンクの車両前後方向長さが大きくなり、所定のタンク容量が容易に確保できる。
ヘッドパイプの上方には操向ハンドルが配置される。この構造によれば、この操向ハンドルと膨出部とが離されているため、操向ハンドルの形状自由度が増す。
この構造によれば、膨出部材は、メインフレームとは別個製作され、後に接合される。
製作段階では、メインフレームは形状が簡易なものとなり、メインフレームの製作が容易になる。膨出部材も同様に形状が簡単になり、膨出部材の製作が容易になる。
特に、ボルト接合の場合は、モデルによっては膨出部材が不要になり、メインフレームから随時膨出部材を外すことができる。
この構造によれば、メインフレームは、ガセット部材とセンタフレームとからなる結合体としたので、各要素部品の形状が単純化される。結果、各部品の製造コストを低減させることができる。
この構造によれば、円断面をもつメインフレームは、1本で形成され、その断面形状を変化させることで、ヘッドパイプへ取付けることができる。従って、車体フレームの要素数が減り、コストを低減することができる。
この構造によれば、パイプフレームは、シートレールを含むように車両後部まで延ばされ、シートレール部は、断面が円形状から横長扁平形状に変形されているので、シート受け、リヤフェンダ、トレイ、電装部品等の各要素部品が取付け易い。
Claims (8)
- 前輪(13)を回転自在に支えるフロントフォーク(21)を操向可能に支持するヘッドパイプ(12)と、
このヘッドパイプ(12)から車両後方へ延びるメインフレーム(31)と、
このメインフレーム(31)の下方に配置されクランクケース(32)及びこのクランクケース(32)から斜め上へ延びるシリンダ(33)を有するエンジン(15)と、
車両側面視で、前記メインフレーム(31)の前部に設けられ、前記ヘッドパイプ(12)後面下端から車両後方斜め上方へ延ばされ前記シリンダ(33)の上面を迂回する迂回部(56)と、
を具備する、自動二輪車。 - 前記メインフレーム(31)に設けられ、前記迂回部(56)の上方で前記ヘッドパイプ(12)の後面上端よりも上方へ膨出する膨出部(57)、
を更に具備する、請求項1記載の自動二輪車。 - 燃料タンク(43)と、
前記膨出部(57)に設けられ、前記燃料タンク(43)の前部を取付けるタンク取付部(61)と、
を更に具備する、請求項2記載の自動二輪車。 - 前記膨出部(57)は、前記ヘッドパイプ(12)から空間を介して車両後方に配置されている、請求項2又は請求項3記載の自動二輪車。
- 前記膨出部(57)は、前記メインフレーム(31)の上面に溶接又はボルト締めにより接合されている、請求項2~4のいずれか1項記載の自動二輪車。
- 前記メインフレーム(31)は、前記ヘッドパイプ(12)の車両後方に延ばされるガセット部材(81)と、前記ガセット部材(81)の車両後方に延ばされるセンタフレーム(82)と、を有し、
前記ガセット部材(81)は、その下面を前記シリンダ(33)の上方で後上がりに傾斜する前記迂回部(56)、を有し、
前記膨出部(57)は、前記ガセット部材の上面(83)に取付けられている、
請求項2~5のいずれか1項記載の自動二輪車。 - 前記メインフレーム(31)は、前記ヘッドパイプ(12)の車両後方に延ばされる断面円状のパイプフレーム(89)からなり、
前記メインフレーム(31)の前端にて、前記ヘッドパイプ(12)との接続部(91)は、高さ方向に断面形状を変化させると共に前記ヘッドパイプ(12)を車幅方向から挟むように取付けられている、
請求項1~5のいずれか1項記載の自動二輪車。 - 前記パイプフレーム(89)は、シートレール(67)を含むように車両後部まで延ばされ、
