Abstract

본 발명은 토마토 (Solanum lycopersicum)의 히스티딘 디카르복실라제-2 (Histidine decarboxylase-2; SlHD-2) 유전자 유래 식물 열매 특이적 발현 프로모터 및 5' 비번역 영역 (untranslated region; 5'-UTR), 이를 포함하는 식물 열매 특이적 발현 벡터, 상기 발현 벡터를 이용하여 외래 유전자를 열매 특이적으로 발현시키는 방법, 상기 발현 벡터로 형질전환된 식물체 및 이의 종자에 관한 것이다. 본 발명에 따르면, 기존에 널리 사용되고 있는 꽃양배추 모자이크 바이러스 유래의 CaMV 35S 프로모터가 전 조직에서 외래 유전자의 발현을 유도하는 것에 비해 형질전환 식물체에서 도입된 유전자를 열매 조직 특이적으로 발현시킬 수 있다. 또한 본 발명은 유용물질을 열매에서 생산하고자 하는 형질전환 식물체 개발에 유용하게 이용될 수 있다.
