Abstract

The present invention relates to an apparatus for automatic control of the exhaust pressure of an internal combustion engine, comprising: a body having an inlet and an outlet for exhaust gas; a pressure control plate, which is a thin plate, which is disposed between the inlet and outlet in the body, and which is designed to rotate, within a predetermined range of angle, perpendicular to the ground; a rotational shaft, which is bar-shaped and which is coupled with one side of the pressure control plate to allow a substantially vertical and rotational movement of the pressure control plate; first and second side members provided at both outer sides of the body to be coupled, via through holes, with protrusions of the rotational shaft which extend outwardly from both sides of the rotational shaft; a regulation pendulum coupled with the first side member to set an initial slope of the pressure control plate; and pendulum blades, which are coupled with the lower side of the regulation pendulum to operate vertically and rotatably within a preset range of angle by air resistance generated during running of a vehicle, and allow the pressure control plate to make vertical and rotational movements in linkage with the vertical and rotational operation.
