- static electricity is obtained from a result obtained by incorporating a device for measuring voltage, current, and ambient temperature into a power supply device to which a capacitor is applied.
- a method of determining the life by obtaining the electric capacity is adopted.
- this method cannot evaluate the effect of the internal resistance of the capacitor, and as a result, “predetermined rated power and load power required are determined in advance, which are necessary as functions of the instantaneous voltage drop compensator and uninterruptible power supply. May not satisfy the requirement of “output only for the rated compensation time”.
- the "discharge time that can be discharged while ensuring that the rated power and required load power are output" is the rated compensation. I could't determine if it was longer than the time.
- the load required power means the power consumed by the load (3), and means the power necessary for the load to operate optimally. Therefore, when the load capacity is different from the rated capacity, the required load capacity is different from the rated power (the required load power is smaller than the rated power), and when the load capacity is the rated capacity, The required load power and the rated power are equal.
- the current value applied to the capacitor is large.
- the internal resistance of the capacitor varies greatly depending on the ambient temperature in which it is used, so the influence of the internal resistance cannot be ignored.

- the timer / time accumulator 101 has a function as a system timer and a function of measuring the operation time of the capacitor panel 7. “Operating time” means the time from when the capacitor panel 7 is fully charged and the power compensation device (instantaneous voltage drop compensation device in this example) is ready to function.
- the temperature signal T, voltage signal V, and current signal I are input to the capacitor remaining life diagnosis unit 100 via the signal input port 102.
- the data storage RAM 103 is used for storing measurement data and as a work area for the CPU 106.
- the program storage RAM 104 stores an arithmetic program for operating the CPU 106 to perform a predetermined arithmetic operation. Examples of this arithmetic program are as follows. (1) Capacitance calculation program (2) Internal resistance calculation program (3) Discharge time calculation program (4) Remaining life diagnosis program
- the memory device 105 includes a characteristic indicating the rate of change in the capacitance of the capacitor array 7 when power is applied according to temperature as shown in FIG. 3, and a capacitor when power is applied according to temperature as shown in FIG.
- a characteristic indicating the rate of change in internal resistance of the row 7 and the discharge time / rated compensation time of the capacitor row 7 for each operating temperature as shown in FIG. 5 is stored.
- the characteristics shown in FIGS. 3 to 5 are obtained by measurement in advance. 3 to 5, the high temperature is, for example, 60 ° C., the medium temperature is, for example, 30 ° C., the low temperature is, for example, 10 ° C., and the horizontal axis is the charging time, corresponding to the operation time described above. To do.
- the horizontal axis represents time, and the capacitance of the capacitor board 7 at each temperature when the capacitor temperature is set to high temperature, medium temperature, and low temperature in a state where the capacitor board 7 is floatingly charged. Is a characteristic indicating a state in which changes with time. From the characteristics of FIG. 3, it can be seen that the capacitance decreases as the capacitor temperature increases and as time elapses.
- the horizontal axis represents time, and the internal resistance of the capacitor board 7 at each temperature when the capacitor temperature is set to high temperature, medium temperature, and low temperature in the state where the capacitor board 7 is floating-charged. It is a characteristic which shows the state which changes with progress of time. From the characteristics of FIG. 4, it can be seen that the internal resistance increases as the capacitor temperature increases and as time elapses.
- the horizontal axis represents time
- the vertical axis represents “discharge time / rated compensation time”.
- the characteristic of FIG. 5 is that when the capacitor temperature is set to each temperature (high temperature, medium temperature, low temperature), the “discharge time / rated compensation time” of the capacitor panel 7 when the compensation operation is performed at a normal frequency. This is a characteristic indicating a state that changes with the passage of time.
- the “rated compensation time”, which is the denominator of the vertical axis in FIG. 5, means that the power compensator (instantaneous voltage drop compensator in this example) can perform power compensation (instantaneous voltage compensation) operation reliably. It means the time required for (capacitor row 7) to be discharged while outputting predetermined rated power or load required power.
- discharge time as a numerator of the vertical axis in FIG. 5 does not mean a time during which the capacitor board 7 can simply be discharged, but the capacitor board 7 indicates the rated power and the required load power. It means the time that can be discharged while outputting.
- discharge time / rated compensation time when “discharge time / rated compensation time” is less than 100%, it means that the life of the power storage unit (capacitor panel 7) has been exhausted. In other words, when the “discharge time / rated compensation time” is less than 100%, the power storage unit can be discharged, but the rated power and load power can be output only for less than the rated compensation time. In such a case, it is determined that the lifetime has expired.

- the high-speed switch 2 When an instantaneous drop occurs in the system power supply 1, the high-speed switch 2 is cut off by the control device 4, and the power converter 8 starts an inverter operation so that the power of the capacitor array 7 is supplied to the load 3. That is, the capacitor array board 7 performs a discharging operation.
- the instantaneous voltage drop compensation device starts the instantaneous voltage drop compensation operation and the capacitor board 7 starts the constant power discharge operation
- the current characteristics output from the capacitor board 7 are as shown in FIG.
- the voltage characteristics of the row board 7 are as shown in FIG. 6 and 7,
- the time point t0 is a time point at which the instantaneous drop compensation operation is started. From this time point t0, the power converter 8 starts the converter operation, and the discharge from the capacitor panel 7 is started. And if it becomes after time t1, it will be in a constant power discharge state.
- the voltage V0 at the time point t0 is a voltage when the capacitor array 7 is not outputting current, that is, a voltage when there is no influence of the internal resistance.
- the voltage V1 at the time point t1 is a voltage that is reduced by the voltage drop due to the internal resistance because the capacitor panel 7 outputs the rated current.
- the remaining capacitor life diagnosis unit 100 speeds up the sampling cycle to, for example, 20 ms or less, and outputs the temperature signal T and voltage signal V.
- the current signal I is taken in every sampling period, and the temperature signal T, voltage signal V, and current signal I at each time point (each sampling period) are stored in the data storage RAM 103 in time series.
- FIG. 6 shows a characteristic curve obtained from the current signal I stored in the data storage RAM 103 in time series
- FIG. 7 shows a characteristic curve obtained from the voltage signal V stored in the data storage RAM 103 in time series.
- the current I1 and the voltage V1 at the time point t1 are used, but the time point t1 does not have to be a time point after the time point t1, that is, a time point in a period in which constant power discharge can be performed.
- the time when the current and voltage are taken (when the constant power discharge becomes possible, for example, t1) is set in advance according to the characteristics of the power compensator to which the capacitor array 7 is applied.
- Step for obtaining discharge time The CPU 106 reads out the “discharge time calculation program” from the program storage RAM 104, and in this discharge time calculation program, the capacitance C of the capacitor board 7 obtained by using the above-described capacitance calculation program and the above-mentioned internal The internal resistance R obtained using the resistance calculation program is applied to obtain the discharge time of the capacitor array 7 when the current instantaneous drop occurs.
- the “discharge time” here does not mean a time during which the capacitor array 7 can be simply discharged, but the capacitor array 7 outputs the rated power and the required load power. It is the time that can be discharged while.
- discharge time calculation formula As the discharge time calculation program (discharge time calculation formula), various programs (calculation formulas) are already known. For example, the document “The 12th international seminar double layers capacitor and similar energy storage devices, Dec9.11 ( 2002): The discharge time of the capacitor array 7 is obtained using the calculation program shown in “Okamura Ikuo”.
- This discharge time calculation formula (1) is for the case where the discharge end voltage of the capacitor is (1/2) vo, t is the discharge time during which the rated power can be discharged, C is the capacitance (F), and R is Internal resistance ( ⁇ ), W represents output power (W), and v represents voltage (V). As the power W, rated power or load required power is used.
- a database for obtaining the discharge time is set in advance using the capacitance C, the internal resistance R, and the average temperature obtained from the temperature history of the temperature signal T as parameters, and the discharge time is obtained based on this database. May be.
- Step of diagnosing remaining life The CPU 106 reads the “first program for diagnosing the remaining life” from the program storage RAM 104, and performs the following calculation using the characteristic curve of FIG. 5 by the first program for estimating the remaining life.

- the ratio P0M [%] at the time point t0 is obtained from the characteristic curve of FIG.
- an average temperature obtained from the temperature history of the temperature signal T is employed.
- the ratio P0L [%] at the time point t0 is obtained from the characteristic curve at the low temperature from the characteristics of FIG.
- an average temperature obtained from the temperature history of the temperature signal T is employed.
- the generated temperature is a temperature other than the above high temperature (60 ° C), medium temperature (30 ° C), and low temperature (10 ° C) (eg, 40 ° C)
- the temperature is high (60 ° C)
- medium temperature A regression equation is obtained from three characteristic curves of (30 ° C.) and low temperature (10 ° C.) by an operation such as a least square method, and a characteristic curve at 40 ° C., for example, is obtained using the regression equation.
- the remaining life X is obtained by performing the same calculation as the above-described equations (2), (3), and (4).
- Step of diagnosing remaining life As a method for diagnosing the remaining life, in addition to the first method described above, a second method described below can be used.
- the CPU 106 reads out the “second program for diagnosing the remaining life” from the program storage RAM 104.
- the detected temperature at the time of occurrence of a sag is, for example, high temperature (60 ° C.).
- the average temperature obtained from the temperature history of the temperature signal T is adopted as the detected temperature when the instantaneous drop occurs.

- the electrostatic capacity C20 at a time point different from the time points t0 and t10, for example, the time point t20 is selected from the characteristics corresponding to the temperature (for example, 60 ° C. of the high temperature) at the time of the current instantaneous drop among the characteristics shown in FIG. Ask. Further, the internal resistance R20 at the time point t20 is obtained from the characteristics corresponding to the temperature (for example, 60 ° C. of the high temperature) at the time of the current instantaneous voltage drop among the characteristics shown in FIG.
- the capacitance C20 and the internal resistance R20 are applied to the above-described discharge time calculation program to predict the discharge time of the capacitor array 7 at the time t20.
- the rated power is used as the power W when the discharge time is obtained by the above-described discharge time arithmetic expression (1).
- a ratio P20 [%] obtained by dividing the discharge time (predicted discharge time) at time t20 by the rated compensation time is obtained, and the ratio P20 [%] at time t20 is plotted as shown in FIG.
- the ratios P0 [%], P10 [%], and P20 [%] at at least three time points are plotted.
- the ratios at times other than t0, t10, and t20 are also plotted.

- step 2 (second) for diagnosing the remaining life of the first embodiment described above when the discharge time is obtained by the discharge time calculation formula (1), the rated power is used as the power W. In Example 3, the required load power is used as the power W.
- the actual power consumption in the load fluctuates due to an increase in downstream load due to equipment enhancement and a change in load form (an increase in capacitive load (rectifier), an increase in inductive load (such as an electric motor)). Abstract
Description

C∫I(t)dt=∫(dV(t)/dt)dt
R=V1/I1
