Abstract

 本願発明に係る液体フローに含まれる生物学的粒子を分別する装置は、前記生物学的粒子のそれぞれに光を照射して、該生物学的粒子からの光を検出する光学的機構と、前記生物学的粒子のそれぞれからの光に基づいて、前記液体フローにおける該生物学的粒子の移動速度を検出する制御部と、前記生物学的粒子のそれぞれの前記移動速度に基づいて、該生物学的粒子に電荷を与える荷電部とを備える。前記制御部は、ブレイク・オフ・ポイントで液体フローから分離する少なくとも1つの液滴フロー内における前記生物学的粒子のそれぞれの位置を、該生物学的粒子のそれぞれの前記移動速度に基づいてモニタし、該位置に基づいて該生物学的粒子に電荷を与えるように前記荷電部を制御する。本願発明によれば、所望の細胞粒子の回収率の増大、および分別試料中の細胞粒子の純度の改善を図ることができる。
