Abstract

 チタニア粉末、アルミナ粉末、シリカ粉末及びムライト粉末を含む混合物から作製したハニカム成形体を焼成してなる、結晶相がチタン酸アルミニウム及びムライトからなるハニカム構造体であって、前記混合物は前記チタニア粉末及び前記アルミナ粉末の合計100質量部に対してシリカ粉末1~10質量部及びムライト粉末5~30質量部含有し、前記ムライト粉末は、10~50μmの径を有する粒子の割合が40~60質量%、かつ3μm以下の径を有する粒子の割合が5~30質量%であることを特徴とするハニカム構造体及びその製造方法。
