Abstract

本発明は、製造工程数を増加させることなく、液晶内部に発生するバイアス電界を打ち消すために印加される直流オフセット電圧の最適値を揃えることで、フリッカを抑制することができる半透過型の液晶表示装置、及び、上記液晶表示装置の好適な製造方法を提供する。本発明の液晶表示装置は、互いに対向する背面側基板と観察面側基板との間に液晶層を備え、上記背面側基板が透過電極と反射電極とを有する半透過型の液晶表示装置であって、上記反射電極は、液晶層側の表面がモリブデンを含んで構成されるものである。
