A portable water purifier having a reverse washing function is disclosed, which is able to supply a lot of quality industrial water to a local power plant or a small and medium sized company as well as to supply a lot of drinkable water to a remote mountain village or a damaged region. Technical Field The present invention relates to a portable water purifier having a reverse washing function, and in particular to a portable water purifier having a reverse washing function in which a purifier used for supplying industrial water to a local engine power plant or a small and medium-sized company or used for an emergency water supply to a remote mountain area, a remote island area, or a disaster area is installed in a certain space such as a container or something and is moved by a ship, a vehicle or something.

The industrial water is classified into boiler water, raw water, product treatment water, washing water, cooling water, etc. The industrial water has different amount or quality depending on a place where it is used or the purpose of its use. Generally, a lot of water should be provided, and a good quality, low temperature and low cost are necessary.
In case that a lot of industrial water is needed for manufacturing products, since the unit cost of raw water is directly related with the prime cost, it is very important to substantially obtain a lot of water.
For example, seawater is generally used as cooling water in a thermal power plant and a nuclear power plant, but when a lot of seawater is used as cooling water, the concentration may change in surrounding sea for thereby affecting a biological resource in the sea. So, an intensive survey and measurement on the above problem are needed. In case of an ordinary small and medium sized company which uses a lot of quality water, it is not proper to use seawater having salt as an industrial water owing to a geographical condition or a product characteristic.
In a place where a piped facility is not good, waterfall is less or a water resource is polluted, it is needed to obtain drinkable water under the ground or in a river. In this case, a water purifier is needed in the above places for supplying a lot of water to people. In case of a membrane filter which is used in a water purifier, the surfaces of the same may be polluted with anion and cation, so that a purification performance decreases. In this case, a reverse washing work is needed. When performing the reverse washing work, it is needed to adjust corresponding valves all the time. In the conventional water purifier, a manager or operator should be around to keep the purifier for a certain problem or an urgent emergency situation.
Disclosure of Invention
Accordingly, it is an object of the present invention to provide a portable water purifier having a reverse washing function which overcomes the problems encountered in the conventional art.
It is another object of the present invention to provide a portable water purifier having a reverse washing function which is able to supply a lot of quality industrial water to a local power plant or a small and medium sized company as well as to supply a lot of drinkable water to a remote mountain village or a damaged region. It is provided with a recycling device and is stored in a certain space. It can be remotely monitored.
To achieve the above objects, there is provided a portable water purifier which comprises a multiple-layer filter which is filled with a filtering material for filtering a foreign substance from raw water collected; an activated carbon filter which has micro pores and is filled with a filtering material for filtering harmful bacteria and volatile organic compounds contained in the water which is filtered through the multiple-layer filter; a micro filter which is formed of a thread-shaped polymer material for filtering the water filtered by the activated carbon filter, with the polymer being molded at a high temperature; a feeding pump which feeds the water filtered by the micro filter to the water purifier; a reverse osmosis pressure purification device which is a device for purifying the water from the feeding pump and includes a plurality of membrane filters and allows the fed water to sequentially pass through the membrane filters; a recycling device which is adapted to reverse- wash the membrane filter of the reverse osmosis pressure purification device; and a control panel which controls the whole functions of the system, with the water purifier being installed in a certain space and being movable.
The recycling device comprises a reverse washing chemical tank which stores washing water mixed with chemical for reverse washing; a recycling pump which feeds the washing water to the reverse osmosis pressure purification device; a recycling filter which filters the chemical substances from the washing water; a wastewater tan which stores the wastewater obtained after washing the reverse osmosis pressure purification device; and a wastewater discharge pump which discharges the wastewater of the wastewater tank to the outside. The control panel includes a switch for switching the control mode to a remote control mode for controlling through the internet.
There is further provided a device for inputting an anti-scalent chemical into the water filtered by the micro-filter for scale prevention. There is further provided a device for inputting a chemical for adjusting pH of the water purified by the reverse osmosis pressure water purification device.

The preferred embodiments of the present invention will be described with reference to the accompanying drawings. Figure 1 is a flow chart of a process of a raw water purification according to an embodiment of the present invention. Figure 2 is a plane view illustrating a portable water purifier having a reverse washing function according to an embodiment of the present invention. Figure 3A is a plane view illustrating a recycling apparatus according to an embodiment of the present invention. Figure 3B is a side view illustrating a recycling apparatus according to an embodiment of the present invention. Figure 4A is a schematic block diagram of a PLC. Figure 4B is a view of a construction of a remote monitoring system according to an embodiment of the present invention. Figures 5A and 5B are views illustrating a state that a portable water purifier having a reverse washing function is being moved according to an embodiment of the present invention.
As shown in Figures 1 through 5B, the portable water purifier 100 having a reverse washing function according to the present invention comprises a multiple- layer filter 200 for filtering foreign substances from raw water, an activated carbon filter 300 for filtering suspended substances and organic substances from the water from the multiple-layer filter 200, a micro-filter 400 for filtering the water from the activated carbon filter 300, feeding pumps 500a and 500b for feeding the water filter through the micro-filter 400 to a reverse osmosis pressure purification device 600, a reverse osmosis pressure purification device 600 for purifying the water from the feeding pumps 500a and 500b through five membrane filters 601 through 605 which are provided with three stages, a recycling device 700 for reverse- washing the membrane filters 601 through 605 of the reverse osmosis pressure purification device 600, and a control panel 600 which controls the whole functions.
The multiple-layer filter 200 may be formed of filtering members such as slag balls each having a size of 0.1 through 0.15mm, sand each having a size of 0.3 through 0.8mm, and gravels each having a size of 5 through 10mm. The stacking layer, dimension and kind may be changed variously depending on the situations of the site, not being limited thereto.
The activated carbon filter 300 is filled with filtering members and has small pores. So, it is able to very efficiently purify water based on deodorization, discoloring, organic substance absorption, harmful bacteria removal or something by using an absorption force of the activated carbon. The dimension and kind of the same are determined depending on the situations in the site.
The micro-filer 400 is able to filter micro-sized foreign substances each having a size of 1um such as rust, soil, sand, dust or something for thereby maximizing a purification performance. It is made by a molding work at a high temperature by molding porous powders formed of thread-shaped polymer substances. The dimension and kind are determined depending on the situations in the site.
The reverse osmosis pressure purification device 600 is made by sequentially arranging five membrane filters 601 through 605 in the three stages for filtering the water from the micro-filter 400. In the first and second stages, two pairs of membrane filters 601 through 604 are arranged in parallel, and in the third stage, one membrane filter 605 is preferably arranged. The membrane filters 601 through 605 treat and purify heavy metals, bacteria, organic chemical substances or foreign substances in water having molecular weight of over 200 with the help of a forced double-neutralization separation work using a super precise semi-permeable membrane(0.0001um). The dimension and kind are determined depending on the site.
The recycling device 700 comprises a reverse washing chemical tank 710, a recycling pump 720, a recycling filter 730, a waste water tank 740 and a waste water discharge pump 750. Here, the reverse washing chemical tank 710 stores part of the treatment water purified by means of the reverse osmosis pressure purification device 600. The reverse washing chemical is mixed with the treatment water, and the mixed water is used as washing water. The chemical is formed of hydrochloric acid, caustic soda or something. The wastewater collected after washing is stored in the waste tank 740. The recycling filter 730 filters chemical substances which are not dissolved and is formed of poly propylene fiber.
The control panel 800 controls the whole operations of the system and is electrically connected with a flow meter 741 , 941 , a conductivity meter 631 , a pH meter 632, a waste tank valve 742, a treatment water tank valve 942, and an electron controller connected with a motor of each pump for thereby controlling the whole operations from the collection of raw water to the feeding of the treatment water. A switch is provided for converting the normal mode to a remote control mode using the internet. The values of the above meters can be monitored using the internet. The operations of the valves and motors can be controlled as well.
The portable water purifier 100 having a reverse washing function according to the present invention further comprises a device for inputting an anti-scalent chemical for preventing a scale formation at a step before the water filtered by the micro-filter 400 is inputted into the reverse osmosis pressure purification device 600. The above device includes an anti-scalent tank 410, and an anti-scalent pump 420. The anti-scalent chemical is preferably hydroxyl ethylene di phosphoric acid.
The portable water purifier 100 having a reverse washing function according to the present invention further comprises a device for inputting a chemical for adjusting pH of purified water at a step before the water purified by means of the reverse osmosis pressure purification device 600 is stored into the treatment water tank 900. The above device includes a pH chemical tank 610, and a pH pump 620.
The operations of the portable water purifier having a reverse washing function according to the present invention will be described.
The portable water purifier 100 having a reverse washing function according to an embodiment of the present invention is installed in a certain space such as the container 110, and is moved to a certain installation place where needs a water purification work, using a certain transportation unit such as a vehicle, a ship or something.
Upon arriving at the installation place, the water purifier 100 is separated from the transportation unit, and a water collection pipe is connected with the raw water, and the water purifier 100 starts operation. The above operation may be possible with the water purifier being on the transportation unit.
The raw water inputted through the water collection pipe by means of the pumping unit passes through the multiple-layer filter 200, and the suspended substances included in the raw water are removed.
The water filtered by means of the multiple-layer filter 200 passes through the activated carbon filter 300 for thereby filtering harmful bacteria such as virus contained in the first filtered water and volatile organic compound.
The water filtered by means of the activated carbon filter 300 passes through the micro-filter 400. At this time, small foreign substances of 1 um sizes such as rust, soil, sand, dust or something are substantially filtered with the help of the 1 um filter.
The water filtered by the micro-filter 400 is inputted into the reverse osmosis pressure purification device 600 with the help of the feeding pumps 500a and 500b. Here, an auxiliary pump 500b is provided for an emergency situation that the feeding pump 500a does not work. Here, an anti-scalent chemical such as hydroxyl ethylene di phosphoric acid is inputted for preventing scaling phenomenon.
The water inputted into the reverse osmosis pressure purification device 600 is purified through three stages with the help of five membrane filters 601 through 605. In the first and second stages, the membrane filters 601 through 604 arranged parallel in pairs are used, and in the final third stage, one membrane filter 605 is used. At this time, the water remaining after the purification in the first stage is further purified in the second stage, and the water remaining after the second stage is further purified in the third stage for thereby enhancing a water recycling efficiency.
The treatment water purified by means of the reverse osmosis pressure purification device 600 is stored in the treatment water tank 900, and part of the water is fed to the reverse washing chemical tank 710.
The treatment water tank 900 may be separated from the water purifier 100 and may be moved. It preferably has a reliable performance in sanitation, durability and heat keeping function and is designed to have a large capacity for storing a lot of treatment water.
The treatment water stored in the treatment water tank 900 is supplied to the related facilities such as the boilers, the purifiers or something with the helps of the air tanks 950 and 960, the purifier supply pumps 951a and 951b and the boiler supply pumps 961a and 961b. Au auxiliary pump may be further provided for an emergency situation that the main pump does not work.
When the reverse osmosis pressure purification device 600 operates for a long time, the surfaces of the membrane filters 601 through 605 may be polluted by means of anion or cation components, so that the purification performance may decrease. At this time, the recycling device 700 is driven.
As the recycling pump 720 starts operating, the recycling device 700 sprays washing water of the reverse washing chemical tank 710 to the membrane filters 601 through 605 of the reverse osmosis pressure purification device 600 in a direction reverse to the original direction. At this time, chemical is inputted into the chemical tank 710 for washing. The mixture is passed through the recycling filter 730 before it is fed to the reverse osmosis pressure purification device 600 for filtering the dregs produced when the chemical is fully dissolved, and other foreign substances. The wastewater, which washed the membrane filters 601 through 605 of the reverse osmosis pressure purification device 600, is fed to the waste tank 740 and is stored. The collected wastewater is discharged to the outside by means of the wastewater discharge pump 750.
The whole operations can be checked by checking the flows through the flow meters 741 and 941 installed at the pipe which is connected from the reverse osmosis pressure purification device 600 to the wastewater tank 740 and the treatment water tank 900, respectively. It is possible to manage the quality of treatment water through the conductivity meter 631 by measuring pH of the treatment water using the pH meter 632, by inputting chemicals such as HaOH and thus maintaining a proper value of pH while the treatment water passed through the reverse osmosis pressure purification device 600 is being stored into the treatment water tank 900.
The above whole operations are controlled by means of the control panel 800 which is electrically connected an electronic controller connected with the sensors of various meters, a motor and a valve based on a PLC(Programming Logic Controller). As shown in Figure 5A, the PLC comprises a central processing unit 810, a program memory 820, a data memory 830, an input unit 840, an output unit 850 and a power unit 860.
The PLC program input device 841 is a device for programming with a PLC- exclusive program language and inputting into the program memory 820. The program may be executable in a universal type computer and may be downloaded into the PLC using a RS232C communication port. The input device 842 is a device for outputting signals like a switch or sensors of various meters 631 and 632 and is connected with an input terminal of the PLC. The output device 851 is a device, which is driven by receiving an output of the PLC like a lamp or a solenoid valve 742, 942, and is connected with an output terminal of the PLC.
The central progressing unit 810 of the PLC sequentially executes the programs stored in the program memory 820 and writes an input value from the input device 842 through the input unit 840 into a data memory 830, and reads a value written in the data memory 830 corresponding to the output device 851 , and transmits to the output device through the output unit 850.
The portable water purifier of the present invention is driven along with a related facility such as an engine generator, a boiler or something. A switch is provided in the control panel 800 for switching an automatic control to a remote control which is to be executed through the internet. In case that the control is changed to the remote control, as shown in Figure 5B, the data of the various meters 631 and 632 and the operation states, which are shown on the control panel 800, are stored in the PLC server 870 which is separately provided. The PLC server 870 is connected with a PLC of the portable water purifier 100 as well as a PLC of the related facilities such as an engine generator, a boiler or something. As it is connected with a client 880 of the remote area through the internet, it is possible to monitor the data and operation states at a remote area. It is possible to control an operation of each motor and to control the opening and closing operations of the wastewater valve 742 and the treatment water tank valve 942.
Industrial Applicability
As described above, according to the portable water purifier having a reverse washing function according to the present invention, it is possible to supply quality industrial water to a local generator or a small and medium sized company as well as to supply a lot of drinkable water to a remote mountain village as well as a remote island area and a damaged area. Since there is provided a recycling device and a remote controlling system, an installation, operation and management are easy.
As the present invention may be embodied in several forms without departing from the spirit or essential characteristics thereof, it should also be understood that the above-described examples are not limited by any of the details of the foregoing description, unless otherwise specified, but rather should be construed broadly within its spirit and scope as defined in the appended claims, and therefore all changes and modifications that fall within the meets and bounds of the claims, or equivalences of such meets and bounds are therefore intended to be embraced by the appended claims.

Claims

Claims:
1. A portable water purifier, comprising: a multiple-layer filter which is filled with a filtering material for filtering a foreign substance from raw water collected; an activated carbon filter which has micro pores and is filled with a filtering material for filtering harmful bacteria and volatile organic compounds contained in the water which is filtered through the multiple-layer filter; a micro filter which is formed of a thread-shaped polymer material for filtering the water filtered by the activated carbon filter, with the polymer being molded at a high temperature; a feeding pump which feeds the water filtered by the micro filter to the water purifier; a reverse osmosis pressure purification device which is a device for purifying the water from the feeding pump and includes a plurality of membrane filters and allows the fed water to sequentially pass through the membrane filters; a recycling device which is adapted to reverse-wash the membrane filter of the reverse osmosis pressure purification device; and a control panel which controls the whole functions of the system, with the water purifier being installed in a certain space and being movable.
2. The water purifier of claim 1 , wherein said recycling device comprises: a reverse washing chemical tank which stores washing water mixed with chemical for reverse washing; a recycling pump which feeds the washing water to the reverse osmosis pressure purification device; a recycling filter which filters the chemical substances from the washing water; a wastewater tan which stores the wastewater obtained after washing the reverse osmosis pressure purification device; and a wastewater discharge pump which discharges the wastewater of the wastewater tank to the outside.
3. The water purifier of either claim 1 or claim 2, wherein said control panel includes a switch for switching the control mode to a remote control mode for controlling through the internet.
4. The water purifier of claim 3, further comprising a device for inputting an anti-scalent chemical into the water filtered by the micro-filter for scale prevention.
5. The water purifier of claim 4, further comprising a device for inputting a chemical for adjusting pH of the water purified by the reverse osmosis pressure water purification device.
