Abstract

 金属材料を圧延する圧延機に設けられた板厚制御装置において、上側ロール及び下側ロールが回転することによって生じる圧延荷重変動を上下別々に検出することにより、板厚制御を高精度に実施する。このため、上記上下ロールの複数の回転位置におけるキスロール時荷重に基づいて、キスロール時荷重のロール偏芯に起因する各変動成分を上下別々に抽出し、この抽出されたキスロール時荷重の各変動成分に基づいて、圧延荷重のロール偏芯に起因する各変動成分を上下別々に抽出する。そして、この抽出された圧延荷重の各変動成分に基づいて、圧延されている金属材料の板厚変動を低減させるように、上記各回転位置に対応したロールギャップ指令値を演算し、ロールギャップを操作する。
