Abstract
Die Erfindung betrifft katalytisch aktive Formaktivkohle und ein Verfahren zu deren Herstellung. Die Formaktivkohle wird erhalten, indem aus vermahlenem kohlenstoffhaltigen Material, einem Bindemittel und mindestens einem metallhaltigen Dotierungsreagenz eine pressfähige Masse hergestellt wird, die verpresst, getrocknet, karbonisiert und anschließend mittels eines Aktivierungsgases aktiviert wird, Als Dotierungsreagenz wird hierbei ein Metallsalz, dessen Metall ausgewählt ist aus den Metallen der 3. bis 6. Hauptgruppe, den Übergangsmetallen, den Seltenerdmetallen und den Halbmetallen und/oder ein Iodid der Alkali- oder Erdalkalimetalle eingesetzt. Die Erfindung betrifft ferner die Verwendung von Formaktivkohlen, die mit Metallionen dotiert sind, zur Entfernung von unerwünschten Stoffen wie Schadstoffen oder Giften, insbesondere die Entfernung von H2S. Als Dotierungsreagenz kommen hierbei die vorstehenden Substanzen oder Alkalimetall- oder Erdalkalimetalle der Formel M2p(EOq)r (wobei E ein Element der 3. bis 7. Hauptgruppe ist und p, q und r ganze Zahlen ≥ 1 sind) in Betracht.
