タングスデン触媒は、 過酸化水素を酸化剤とする種々の酸化反応の触媒として用いら れている。 かかる酸化反応は、 通常、 水の存在下に実施されており、 用いたタングステン 触媒は、 反応混合物中に溶解している。 そのため、 反応混合物から、 用いたタングステン 触媒に含まれるタングステンを回収する種々の方法が報告されている。 . ' · 例えば、 特開平 8— 2 9 1 1 0 4号公報および特公昭 5 5— 4 4 5 9号公報には、 酸 化反応混合物とイオン交換樹脂とを接触させることにより、 タングステン酸を回収する方 法が開示されている。 特公昭 4 6— 4 1 5 2 6号公報には、 酸化反応混合物に.、 その 8重 量倍以上の量のアセトン、 テ、トラヒドロフラン、 ジォキサン、 n—プロパノールまたはィ ソプロパノールを加えて、 タングステン触媒を析出させ、回収する方法が開示されている。 また、 国際公開第 2 0 0 5 / 1 1 0 9 6 2号パンフレツトには、 シクロへキサンの酸化反 応から排出されるヒドロキシカブロン酸を含む排水と過酸化水素とを、 タングステン触媒 の存在下に反応させて得られる反応混合物を冷却し、 析出したタングステン酸の固体を取 り出す方法が開示されている。 発明の開示

タングステン触媒としては、 例えばタングステン金属、 ホウ化少ンダステン、 炭化夕 ングステン、 硫化タングステン、 酸化タングステン、 タングステン酸、 タングステン酸塩. 等のタングステン類;少なくとも一つのタングステン類と過酸化水素とを反応させて得ら れるタングステン酸化物等が挙げられる。
タングステン酸塩としては、 例えば、 タンタステン酸ナドリゥム、 タングステン酸力 リウム等のタングステン酸アルカリ金属塩、 タングステン酸カルシウム、 タングステン酸 マグネシウム等のタングステン酸アルカリ土類金属塩、 タングステン酸アンモニゥム等が 挙げられる。 · . '
かかるタングステン類としては、 通常巿皈されているものが用いられる。 タンダステ ン酸としては、 前記タングステン酸塩と硫酸等の酸とを反応させて調製したものを用いて もよい。 タングステン酸塩としては、 タングステン酸と対応する塩基とを反応させて調製 したものを用いてもよい。 . ' '
かかるタングステン触媒、のなかでも、 タングステン酸、 タングステン酸塩および少な くとも一つのタングステン類と過酸化水素とを反応させて得られるタングステン酸化物 が好ましい。
少なくとも一つのタングステン類と過酸化水素とを反応させて得られるタンダステ ン酸化物を調製する際に用いる過酸化水素としては、 通常水溶液が用いられる。 過酸化水 素水中の過酸化水素濃度は特に制限されないが、 実用的には 1 ~ 6 0重量%である。
少なくとも一つのタングステン類と反応させる過酸化水素水は、 通常市販のものをそ のまま用いてもよいし、 必要に応じて、 希釈、 濃縮等により濃度調整を行なったものを用 いてもよい。
少なくとも一つのタングステン類と反応させる過酸化水素の使用量は、 該タングステ ン類に対して、通常 3モル倍以上、好ましくは 5モル倍以上であり、その上限は特にない。
少なくとも一つのタングステン類と過酸化水素とを反応させることにより.、'タングス テン酸化物が調製されるが、 かかる反応は、 通常水溶液中でその両者を混合することによ り実施される。 例えば、 ジェチルエーテル、 メチル t e r t一ブチルエーテル、 テトラヒ ドロフラン等のエーテル溶媒、 酢酸ェチル等のエステル溶媒、 t e r t—ブ夕ノール等の 第三級アルコール溶媒、 ァセトニトリル、 プロピオ二トリル等の二トリル溶媒等の有機溶 媒中または該有機溶媒と水.との混合溶媒中でタングステン類と過酸化水素とを反応させ てもよい。'
タングステン酸化物の調製時の調製温度は、 通常— 1 0〜1 0 0でである。
タングスデン類と過酸化水素とを水中、 有機溶媒中もしくは該有機溶媒と水との混合 溶媒中で反応させることにより、 タングステン酸化物を含む均一溶液もしくは懸濁液を調 製することができ、 該タングステン酸化物は,'例えば濃縮処理等により調製液から取り出 して、 有機化合物と過酸化水素との反応に用いてもよいし、 該タングステン酸化物を'含む 調製液をそのまま用いてもよい。 ,
かかるタングステン触媒の存在下に、 過酸化水素と反応させる有機化合物としては、 過酸化水素と反応し得るものであれば、 特に限定されない。 かかる有機化合物としては、 例えば、. ォレフ..イン化合物、、アルコール化合物、 ァミン化合物等の含窒素化合物、 スルフ ィ ド化合物等が挙げられる。 かかる有機化合物としては、 市販のものを用いてもよいし、 公知の方法に準じて製造したものを用いてもよい。
かかる有機化合物と過酸化水素との反応は、 通常、 公知の方法に準じて実施される。 有機化合物としてォレフィン化合物を用いる場合は、 例えば、 特開平 8— 2 9 1 1 0 4号 公報、 欧州特許第 1 1 8 8 7 3 5号明細書等に記載の方法に準じて反応が実施され、 対応 するエポキシド化合物、 ケトン化合物、 アルデヒド化合物、 カルボン酸化合物等の酸化生 成物が得られる。 有機化合物としてアルコール化合物を用いる場合は、 例えば、 特開 2 0 0 3 - 2 0 1 2 6 6号公報、 特開 2 0 0 3— 9 6 0 1 6号公報、 特開 2 0 0 4— 2 1 7 6 2 5号公報等に記載の方法に準じて反応が実施され、 対応するカルボン酸化合物等の酸化 生成物が得られる。 有機化合物として含窒素化合物を用いる場合は、 例えば、 米国特許第
4596874号明細書、 特開 2.003— 231677号公報、 特開 2003 2615 16号公報、.特開 2003— 277329号公報、 特開 2003— 277330号公報、 特開 2003— 286243号公報等に記載の方法に準じて反応が実施され、 対^:、する N 一ォキシド化合物、 ォキシム化合物、.二ト口化合物、 二トロン化合物等の酸化生成物が得 られる。 有機化合物としてスルフィド化合物を用いる場合は、 例えば、 J. O r g. Ch em., 2_8, 1140 (1963)、 欧州特許公開第 1.334956号明細書等に記載の 方法に準じて反応が実施され、 対応するスルホキシド化合物、 スルホン化合物等の酸化生 成物が得られる。
有機化合物と過酸化水素とを、 タングステン触媒の存在下に反応させて得られた反応 混合物には、 通常酸化生成物、 未反応の有機化合物、 副生成物、 未反応の過酸化水素等が 含まれている。 また、 用いたタングステン触媒は、 かかる反応.により、 通常タングステン 酸 (W〇3 · H20) に変換され、 該反応混合物中に溶解しているか、 あるいはその一部が 該反応混合物中に析出している。 .
本発明には、タングステン酸が溶解した反応混合物であっても、 タングステン酸の一 部が析出した反応混合物であっても用いることができる。
本 ¾明は、'かかる反応混合物に、 ガスを吹き込むことにより、 溶解しているタングス テン酸を析出させ、 析出したタングステン酸を分離することにより、 用いたタングステン 触媒に含まれるタングステンを、 タングステン酸として回収するものである。
かかる反^混合物から、目的とする酸化生成物を、晶析等の手段により取り出した後、 ガスを吹き込んでもよいし、 酸化生成物を取り出すことなく、 そのままガスを吹き込んで もよい。.
使用するガスとしては、 反応混合物中の酸化生成物や未反応有機化合物と反応しない ものであれば、 特に限定されずに用いることができる。 かかるガスとしては、 例えば、 水 素、窒素、酸素、ヘリウム、 アルゴン、空気などが挙げられ、窒素および空気が好ましい。
吹き込むガスの量は、 反応混合物に対して、 通常 1容量% 分以上であり、 その上限 は特にないが、 操作性の点で、 30容量%Z分以下が好ましい。
ガスの吹き込みは、 通常水の存在下に実施される。 水の使用量は、 タングステン触媒 に対して、 通常 1重量倍以上であり、 その上限は特に制限されない。
ガスを吹き込む際の反応混合物の p Hは、 通常、 0〜6である。 用いたタングステン 触媒の種類により、 反応混合物の p Hが異なるため、 必要に応じて、 塩酸、 硫酸、 硝酸等 の酸や水酸化ナトリウム等のアルカリを用いて、 反応混合物の P Hを調整した後、 ガスを. 吹き込めばよい。
ガスを吹き^む温度は、 .通常 2ひ〜 1 3 O t:、 好ましくは 5 0〜1 0 0 である。 通 常、 常圧条件下で実施されるが、 加圧あるいは減圧条件下で実施してもよい。
ガスを吹き込む時間は、 通常 1〜3 0時間、 好ましくは 3〜2 0時間である。
反応混合物にガスを吹き込むことにより、 タングステン酸が析出するが、 タンダステ ン酸の析出をより促進するため、 反応混合物 ίこ、 少量のタングステン酸を加えてもよい。 加えるタングステン酸の量は、 反応に用いたタンダステン触媒に対して、 通常 0.. . 0 1〜 ' 0 . 1重量%である。 ·
析出したタングステン酸は、 通常反応混合物をそのまま、 もしくは必要に応じて冷却' した後、 濾過することにより取り出すことができる。 酸化生成物を取り出すことなくガス を吹き込んだ場合には、 ガスの吹き込み温度にょづて、 反応混合物中に、 タングステン酸 とともに酸化生成物も結晶として析出するときがあり、 そのようなときには、 ダンダステ ン酸と酸化生成物が析出した反応混合物を加熱し、 酸化生成物を溶解させた後、 濾過する ことにより、 タングステン酸を取り出すことができる。 取り出したタングステン酸は、.そ のまま、 必要に応じて乾燥した後、 酸化反応に再利用することができる。 タングステン酸 を取り出した後の反応混合物は、 そのままもしくは未反応の過酸化水素を、 例えば亜硫酸 ナトリウム等の還元剤で分解した後、 濃縮、 晶析等することにより、 酸化生成物を取り出 すことができる。 実施例
以下、 実施例により本発明をさらに詳細に説明するが、 本発明はこれら実施例に限定
されない。 なお、 分析は、 高速液体クロマトグラフィ法により実施した。 · ' 実施例 1
. シクロへキサンを液相で酸化して得られた反応混合物を水で洗浄して、 シクロへキサ ノンおよびシクロへキサノールを含む反応混合物と、 ヒド□キシカブロン酸を含む排水 (ヒドロキシカブロン酸含量: 7 . 5重量%) を得た。 該排水には、 ヒドロキ カブロン 酸以外に、 アジピン酸、 グルタル酸、 ε—力プロラクトン、 アジピン酸のエステル、 ヒド ロキシカブロン酸のエステル等が含まれていた。 '
還流冷却管を付した 2 L四つ口フラスコに、 タングステン酸ナ卜リウム · 2水和物 2 6 g、 水 3, 0 gおよび 6 9重量 硝酸 6 8 gを仕込み、 タングステン触媒懸濁液を調製し た。 これに、 上記のヒドロキシカブロン酸を含む排水 1 2 0 0 gを仕込み、 内温 8 0でに 調整した。 同温度で、 3 0童量%過酸化水素水 2 4 8 gを 6時間かけて滴下した後、 2時 間保温攪拌し、 アジピン酸を含む反応混合物を得た。 この反応混合物に、 内温 8. 0 で攪 ' 拌しながら、 窒素ガスを、 1 5 O mL/分で 4時間吹き込み、 黄色固体を析出させた。 反応混合物を、 内温 7 O t:で静置し、 デカンテーシヨンにより上澄み液を除去した。 残つ た黄色固体を含む释濁液を濾^レ、 黄色固体を分離した。 分離した黄色固体を水 2 0 gお よびアセトン 0 gで洗浄した。 得られた上澄み液と濾液とを混合し、 分析したところ、 アジピン酸の収率は 7 4 %であった。 ' 得られた黄色固体を乾燥させた後、 粉末 X線回折法により分析したところ、 全量が、 タングステン酸 (W03 ' H 2〇) であり、 酸化タングステン (W〇3) は含まれていない ことが分かった。 タングステン酵の取得量: 1 9 . 5 g、 タングステンの回収率: 9 9 . 0 %„
なお、 アジピン酸の収率は、 下記式により算出した。
(上澄み液および M液中のアジピン酸の 数) ― (ヒドロキシカブロン酸を含む排水中のアジビン酸のモル数) アジピン酸の収率(%) = X 100 ヒドロキシ; ¾ブロン酸を含む排水中のヒド キシカブロン酸のモル数
実施例 2
還流冷却管を付した 2 L四つ口フラスコに、 タングステン酸ナトリウム ·. 2氷和物 2 . 6 g、 水 3 0 gおよび 6 9重量%硝酸 6 8 gを仕込み、 タングステン触媒懸濁液を調製し た。 これに、 実施例 1で用いたと同じヒドロキシカブロン酸を含む排水 1 2 0 0 gを仕込 み、 内温 8 0でに調整した。 同温度で、 3 0重量%過酸化水素水 2 4 8 gを 6時間かけて 滴下した後、 4時間保温攪拌し、 アジピン酸を含む反応混合物を得た。 反応混合物の p H は 2 . 1であった。 得られた反応混合物に、 内温 8 0 で攪拌しながら、 水素ガスを、 1 5 O mL/分で 1 2時間吹き込み、 黄色固体を析出させた。 このときの反応混合物の p H は 2 . 0であった。 反応混合物を、 内温 7 0 で静置し、 デカンテーシヨンにより上澄み 液を除去した。 残った黄色固体を含む懸濁液を濾過し、 黄色固体を分離レた。 分離した黄 色固体を水 2 0 gおよびアセトン 2 0 gで洗浄した。 得られた上澄み液と濾液とを混合し、 分析したところ、 アジピン酸の収率は 7 0 %であった。 なお、 .アジピン酸の収率は、 前記 実施例 1に記載の式に碁づき算出した。
' 得られた黄色固体を乾燥させた後、 粉末; 線回折法により分析したところ、 全量が、 タンダス,テン酸であり、 酸化タングステンは含まれていないことが分かった。 タンダステ ン酸の取得量: 1 9 . 3 g、 タングステンの回収率: 9 8 . 0 %。 実施例 3
還流冷却管を付した 2 L四つ口フラスコに、 実施例 1で回収したタングステン酸 9 . 9 g、 実施例 2で回収したタングステン酸 9 . 8 g、 水 3 0 gおよび 6 9重量%硝酸 5 8 gを仕込み、 タングステン触媒懸濁液を調製した。— これに、 実施例 1で用いたと同じヒド ロキシカブロン酸を含む排水 1 2 0 0 gを仕込み、 内温 8 0でに調整した。 同温度で、 3 0重量%過酸化水素水 2 7 1 gを 6時間かけて滴下した後、 4時間保温攪拌し、 アジピン 酸を含む反応混合物を得た。 得られた反応混合物に、 内温 8 0 で攪拌しながら、 窒素ガ スを、 1 5 O mLZ分で 8時間吹き込み、 黄色固体を析出させた。 反応混合物を、 内温 7 0でで静置し、 デカンテーシヨンにより上澄み液を除去した。 残った黄色固体を含む懸濁 液を濾過し、 黄色固体を分離した。 分離した黄色固体を水 2 0 gおよびアセトン 2 0 gで
洗浄した。 得られた上澄み液と ίί液とを混合し、 分析したところ、 アジピン酸の収率は 7 5 %であった。 なお、 アジピン酸の収率は、 前記実施例 1に記載の式に基づき算出した。
得られた黄色固体 ¾乾燥させた後、 粉末 X線回折法により分析したところ、 全量が、 タングステン酸であり、 酸化タングステンは含まれていないことが分かった。 タンダステ ン酸の取得畺: 1 9 . 6 g、 タングステンの回収率: 9 9 : 5 %。 比較例 1 '
還流冷却管を付した 2 L四つ口フラスコに、 タングステン酸ナトリウム · 2水和物 2 6 g、 水 3. 0 gおよび 6 9重量? ό硝酸 6 8 gを仕込み、 タングステン触媒懸濁液を調製し た。 これに、 実施例 1で用いたと同じヒドロキシカブロン酸を含む排水 1 2 0 0 gを仕込 み、 内温 8 0でに調整した。 同温度で、 3 0重量%過酸化水素水 2 7 1 gを 6時間かけて 滴下した後: 4時間保温攪拌し、 アジピン酸を含む反応混合物を得た。 得られた反応混合 ' 物を、 .内温 8 0でで攪拌しながら、 さらに 2 時間保温した。 反応混合物を、 内温 7 0で で静置し、 デカンテーションにより上澄み液を除去した。 残った淡黄色固体を含む懸濁液 を濾過じ、 淡黄色固体を分離した。 分離した淡黄色固体を水 2 0 gおよびアセトン 2 0 g で洗浄した。 ί晷、られた上澄み液と濾液とを混合し、 分析したところ、 アジピン酸の収率は 8 2 %であった。なお、アジピン酸の収率は、前記実施例 1に記載の式に基づき算出した。
得られた淡黄色固体を乾燥させた後、粉末 X線回折法により分析したところ、 その 6 6重量%がタングステン酸であり、 3 4重量%が酸化タングステンであることが分かった。
淡黄色固体の取得量: 1 5 . .0 g '
タングステンの回収率:タングステン酸として 5 0 . 3 %
酸化タングステンとして 2 7 . 9 % 実施例 4
還流冷却管を付した 5 0 O mL四つ口フラスコに、 タングステン酸ナトリウム · 2水 和物 3 . O g、 水 3 .5 0 gおよび 9 8重量%硫酸 5 . O gを仕込み、 タングステン触媒懸
濁液を調製した。 該タングステン触媒懸淘液を内温 9 0 に昇温し、 テトラヒド ϋ無水フ タル酸 1 0 0 gを少量づっ仕込んだ。これに、同温度で、 6 0重量%過酸化水素水 1 8 8 . 1 gを 3時間かけて滴下した後、 5時間保温攪拌し、 1 , 2, 3 , 4—ブタンテトラカル ボン酸を含む反応混合物を得た。 得られた反応混合物中に、 内温 8' 0でで攪拌しながら、 窒素ガスを、 1 0 O mL/分で 2 4時間吹き込み、黄色固体を析出させた。反応混合物を、 内温 6 010で静置し、 デカンテーシヨンにより上澄み液を除去した。 残った黄色固体を含 む懸濁液を濾適し、 黄色固体を分離した。 分離した黄色固体を水 1 O gおよびアセトン 1 0 gで洗浄した。:得られた上澄み液と濾液とを^合し、 分析したところ、. 1 , 2 , 3, 4 —ブタンテトラカルボン酸の収 は、 8 5 . 2 %であった。 .
得られた黄色固体を乾燥させた後、 粉末 X線回折法により分析レたところ、 全量が、 タングステン酸であり、 酸化タングステンは含まれていない とが分かった'。 タンダステ ン酸の取得量: 2 . 2 6 g、 タングステンの回収率: 9 9 . 6 %。 比較例 2. ■
実施例 4において、 窒素'ガスを吹き込まない以外は、 実施例 4と同様に操作をして、 タング テン酸および酸化タングステンを含む淡黄色粉末 9 8 O m gを回収した。 実施例 5 .
シクロへキサンを液相で酸化して得られた反応混合物を水で洗浄して、 シクロへキサ ノンおよびシクロへキサノールを含む反応混合物と、 ヒドロキシカブロン酸を含む排水 (ヒドロキシカブロン酸含量: 7 . 5重量%) を得た。 該排水には、 ヒドロキシカプロン 酸以外に、 アジピン酸、 グルタル酸、 ε—力プロラクトン、 アジピン酸のエステル、 ヒド ロキシカブロン酸のエステル、 バレロラクトン、 ギ酸等が含まれていた。
還流冷却管を付した 2 L四つ口フラスコに、 タングステン酸ナトリウム · 2水和物 2 6 . 1 g、 水 1 0 0 gおよび 6 0重量%硝酸 7 8 . 2 gを仕込み、 タングステン触媒懸濁 液を調製した。 これに、 上記のヒドロキシカブロン酸を含む排水 1 2 0 0 gを仕込み、 内
温 8 0でに調整した。 同温度で、 .3 0重量%過酸化水素水 2 7 0 . 4 gを 6時間かけて滴 下した後、 2時間保温攪拌し、 アジピン酸を含む反応混合物を得た。 この反応混合物に、 内温 8 0でで攪拌しながら、 窒素ガスを、 1 5 O mL/分で 1 2時間吹き込み、 黄色固体 を析出させた。 反応混合物を、 内温.7 0でで静置し、 デカンテ一シヨンにより上澄み液を 除去した。 残った黄色固体を含む懸濁液を濾過レ、 黄色固体を分離した。 分離レた黄色固 体を水 2 0 gおよびアセトン 2 0 gで洗浄した。 得られた上澄み液と濾液とを混合し、 分 析したところ、 アジピン酸の収率は 3 3 %であった。 なお、 アジピン酸の収率は、 前記実 施例 1に記載の式に基づき算出した。
タングステン酸の取得量: 1 8 . 8 g、 タングステンの回収率: 9 5 . . 4 %。 実施例 6
還流冷却管を付した 2 L四つ口フラスコ ίこ、 タングステン酸ナトリウム · 2水和物 2 2 . 5 g、 水 1 0 0 gおよび β 0重量%硝酸? 8 . 2 gを仕込み、 タングステン触媒懸濁 液を調製した。'これに、 実施例 5で用いたと同じヒドロキシカブロン酸を含む排水 1 2 0 0 gを仕込み、 内温 8 0でに豳整した。 同温度で、 3 0重量%過酸化水素水 2 7 0 . 4 g を 6時間かけ T滴下した後、 、2時間保温攪拌し、 アジピン酸を含む反応混合物を得た。 得 られた反応混合物に、 内温 8 0でで攪拌しながら、 空気を、 1 5 O mLZ分で 1 2時間吹 き込み、 タングステン酸の黄色固体を析出させた。 反応混合物を、 内温 7 Q :で静置し、 デカンテーシヨンにより上澄み液を除去した。 残った黄色固体を含む懸濁液を濾過し、'黄 色固体を分離した。 分離した黄色固体を水 2 0 gおよびアセトン 2 0 gで洗浄した。 得ら れた上澄み液と濾液とを混合し、 分析したところ、 アジピン酸の収率は 3 6 %であった。 なお、 アジピン酸の収率は、 前記実施例 1に記載の式に基づき算出した。
タングステン酸の取得量: 1 6 . 2 g、 タングステンの回収率: 9 5 . 2 %。 産業上の利用可能性
本発明によれば、 安価なガスを用いることにより、 用いたタングステン触媒に含まれ
るタングステンを、 タングステン.酸 (W〇3 · H 2〇) として収率よく回収することができ る。 回収したタングステン酸は酸化反応に再利用が可能であ.り、'タングステン資源の有効 利用を図ることができるため、 工業的に有用な方法である。 .
Claims
1 . タングステン触媒の存在下に有機化合物と過酸化水素とを反応させて 得られる反応混合物からタングステンを回収する方法において、 反応混合物にガスを吹き 込むことにより、 タングステン酸 (W03 ' H 20) を析出させ、 析出したタングステン酸 を分離することを特徴とするタングステンの回収方法。 ' ——
2 . 反応混合物の ρ Η が 0〜6の範囲である請求の範囲第 1項に記載の夕 ングステンの回収方法。 '
3 . ガスが、 窒素または空気である請求の範囲第 1項に記載のタングステン の回収方法。
4 . ガスの吹き込み温度が、 2 0 ~ 1 3 0でである請求の範囲第 1項に記載 のタングステンの回収方法。

7 . , タングステン触媒が、 タングステン金属、 ホウ化タングステン、 炭化夕 ングステン、 硫化タングステン、 酸化タングステン、 タングステン酸およびタングステン 酸塩からなる群から選ばれる少なくとも一種のタングステン類と過酸化水素とを反応さ せて得られるタングステン酸化物である請求の範囲第 1項に記載のタングステンの回収 方法。
8 . タングステン触媒の存在下に、 有機化合物を過酸化水素で酸^する有機 化合物の酸化方法において、 得られる反応混合物にガスを吹き込み、 タングステン酸を析 出させ、 析出したタングステン酸を分離することを特徴とする有機化合物の酸化方法。
