Abstract

L'invention concerne un toit escamotable de véhicule, comprenant deux éléments de toit latéraux rigides (1) et au moins un élément de toit central (2, 3), déplaçables entre une position dans laquelle ils recouvrent l'habitacle du véhicule et une position dans laquelle ils sont rangés dans le coffre arrière du véhicule : - les éléments de toit latéraux sont solidaires ; - les éléments de toit latéraux ont leur partie arrière guidée par une glissière (9) solidaire de la structure du véhicule et leur partie médiane articulée sur un bras (11) monté pivotant sur le châssis du véhicule autour d'un axe (12) transversal à l'axe longitudinal du véhicule ; - au moins un élément de toit central est monté coulissant par rapport aux éléments de toit latéraux.

Description

TOIT ESCAMOTABLE DE VEHICULE
La présente invention concerne un toit escamotable de véhicule, et plus particulièrement un tel toit comprenant des éléments de toit latéraux rigides et au moins un élément de toit central, déplaçables entre une position dans laquelle ils recouvrent l'habitacle du véhicule et une position dans laquelle ils sont rangés dans le coffre arrière du véhicule.
On connaît de tels toits escamotables permettant de transformer un véhicule du type berline ou coupé en un véhicule du type cabriolet.
Le document FR-A-2 816 253 décrit un toit escamotable dont l'élément arrière se loge horizontalement dans le coffre du véhicule par un mouvement d'oscillation et de coulissement, et au moins un élément de toit avant vient coulisser le long de l'élément arrière entraîné par un bras, pour se superposer au-dessus de ce dernier en position rangée.
La présente invention vise à fournir un toit escamotable dans un coffre arrière de faible volume.
A cet effet, l'invention a pour objet un toit escamotable de véhicule, comprenant deux éléments de toit latéraux rigides et au moins un élément de toit central, déplaçables entre une position dans laquelle ils recouvrent l'habitacle du véhicule et une position dans laquelle ils sont rangés dans le coffre arrière du véhicule, caractérisé en ce que :
- les éléments de toit latéraux sont solidaires ; les éléments de toit latéraux ont leur partie arrière guidée par une glissière solidaire de la structure du véhicule et leur partie médiane articulée sur un bras monté pivotant sur le châssis du véhicule autour d'un axe transversal à l'axe longitudinal du véhicule ;
- au moins un élément de toit central est monté coulissant par rapport aux éléments de toit latéraux.
Dans un mode de réalisation particulier, le toit escamotable selon l'invention comprend un élément de toit arrière rigide solidaire du couvercle du coffre arrière du véhicule.
Plus particulièrement, ce toit escamotable peut comprendre un élément de toit central avant rigide et un élément de toit central intermédiaire rigide, l'élément de toit central intermédiaire étant solidaire des éléments de toit latéraux et l'élément de toit central avant étant monté coulissant dans les éléments de toit latéraux.
Dans un autre mode de réalisation, le toit escamotable comprend un élément de toit central souple, monté coulissant longitudinalement par un ensemble de coulisseaux latéraux, sur deux glissières s'étendant longitudinalement le long des bords interne des éléments de toit latéraux.
On décrira maintenant à titre d'exemple non limitatif un mode de réalisation particulier de l'invention , en référence aux dessins schématiques annexés dans lesquels :
- la figure 1 est une vue de côté d'un toit selon l'invention en position de recouvrement et de semi-recouvrement ; la figure 2 est une vue de côté de ce toit en position de rangement dans le coffre arrière du véhicule ; et la figure 3 est une vue de côté d'un élément de toit central selon un deuxième mode de réalisation .
Le toit des figures 1 et 2 comprend deux éléments de toit latéraux 1 , un élément de toit central avant 2, un élément de toit central intermédiaire 3 et un élément de toit arrière 4.
Tous ces éléments de toit sont des éléments rigides.
L'élément de toit central 2 est monté coulissant par tout moyen connu sur les éléments de toit latéraux 1 .
L'élément de toit central intermédiaire 3 est solidaire des éléments de toit latéraux 1 qu'il relie.
L'élément de toit arrière 4 est solidaire du couvercle 5 du coffre arrière 6.
La partie arrière 7 des éléments latéraux 1 porte un galet 8 engagé dans une glissière 9 solidaire du châssis du véhicule.
La partie médiane longitudinalement des éléments de toit latéraux 1 est articulée autour d'un axe 10 transversal à l'axe longitudinal du véhicule, à une extrémité d'un bras d'entraînement 1 1 .
L'autre extrémité du bras d'entraînement 1 1 est articulée au châssis du véhicule autour d'un axe 12 transversal à l'axe longitudinal du véhicule.
Pour rétracter le toit dans le coffre arrière 6 du véhicule, l'ensemble constitué par la partie de toit arrière 4 et le couvercle 5 du coffre sont basculés de l'avant vers l'arrière pour dégager un espace permettant le rangement des éléments de toit.
L'élément 2 est par ailleurs coulissé vers l'arrière pour venir se superposer à l'élément 3 comme montré à la figure 1 en trait interrompu .
Enfin , le bras 1 1 entraîne l'ensemble des éléments latéraux 1 et des éléments centraux 2 et 3 vers l'arrière tandis que le galet 8 suit la glissière 9.
Une fois les éléments de toit 1 , 2 et 3 rangés dans le coffre 6, l'ensemble constitué par la partie arrière 4 est le couvercle 5 rebascule vers l'avant.
Ces mouvements peuvent être réalisés automatiquement à l'aide d'actionneurs convenables, ou manuellement.
On observera que, dans la position de rangement, la partie avant des éléments de toit latéraux est logée dans des coffres situés de part et d'autre de la partie arrière de l'habitacle du véhicule.
Dans le mode de réalisation de la figu re 3, les éléments latéraux 1 comportent chacun à leur bord interne une glissière 1 5.
L'élément de toit central 16 est ici un élément souple muni de coulisseaux latéraux 17 engagés dans les glissières 1 5.
Le repliement du toit dans le coffre 6 du véhicule s'effectue comme dans le mode de réalisation des figures 1 et 2. Toutefois, l'élément de toit 16 est préalablement replié comme montré à la figure 3 par coulissement des coulisseaux 17 dans les glissières 1 5.

Claims

REVEN DICATIONS
1 . Toit escamotable de véhicule, comprenant deux éléments de toit latéraux rigides (1 ) et au moins un élément de toit central (2, 3 ; 16), déplaçables entre une position dans laquelle ils recouvrent l'habitacle du véhicule et une position dans laquelle ils sont rangés dans le coffre arrière (6) du véhicule, caractérisé en ce que : - les éléments de toit latéraux sont solidaires ; les éléments de toit latéraux ont leur partie arrière guidée par une glissière (9) solidaire de la structure du véhicule et leur partie médiane articulée sur un bras (1 1 ) monté pivotant sur le châssis du véhicule autour d'un axe (12) transversal à l'axe longitudinal du véhicule ; au moins un élément de toit central (2) est monté coulissant par rapport aux éléments de toit latéraux.
2. Toit escamotable selon la revendication 1 , comprenant un élément de toit arrière rigide (4) solidaire du couvercle du coffre arrière du véhicule.
3. Toit escamotable selon l'une quelconque des revendications 1 et 2, comprenant un élément de toit central avant rigide (2) et un élément de toit central intermédiaire rigide (3), l'élément de toit central intermédiaire étant solidaire des éléments de toit latéraux et l'élément de toit central avant étant monté coulissant dans les éléments de toit latéraux.
4. Toit escamotable selon l'une quelconque des revendications 1 et 2, comprenant un élément de toit central souple (16), monté coulissant longitudinalement par un ensemble de coulisseaux latéraux (17) sur deux glissières (1 5) s'étendant longitudinalement le long des bords internes des éléments de toit latéraux.
