Abstract

Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft neue Verwendungen von Glaskeramiken, wobei die Glas­keramiken insbesondere in der Form eines Glaskeramikrohres verwendet werden und 0 bis kleiner 4 Gew-% P205 und 0 bis kleiner 8 Gew-% CaO enthalten. Der Einsatz der Rohre kann in vielfältigen Anwendungsbereichen bzw. in vielfältigen Typen von Lampen erfolgen, beispielsweise im Bereich der allgemeinen Beleuchtung oder der Automobilbeleuchtung so­wie in Wärmestrahlern, wie Halogenlampen oder Glühlampen, bzw. in Hockdruck- oder Nie­derdruckentladungslampen. Insbesondere können die Glaskeramiken auch miniaturisiert zum so genannten ,,Backlighting' im Zusammenhang mit der Hintergrundbeleuchtung von Flachbildschirmen eingesetzt werden. Die Glaskeramiken weisen eine exzellente spektrale Transmission im sichtbaren Wellenlän­genbereich auf und sind dabei solarisationsstabil und absorbieren stark UV-Licht.
