Abstract

Cette invention porte sur la production d'un matériau en bande non tissé et peut être utilisée pour renforcer les revêtements routiers. Cette invention permet d'obtenir un matériau non tissé à l'état isotropique présentant des caractéristiques physico-mécaniques stables dans des conditions de charges cycliques. Le procédé de cette invention consiste à former un matériau présentant une structure flexible composite biaxiale qui comprend deux groupes de fibres discrètement disposées qui sont retenues au moyen d'un élément de liaison. Ces deux groupes de fibres forment une structure en trois couches dans laquelle un groupe de fibres est disposé entre les fibres de l'autre groupe. On utilise comme fibres un stratifil de verre présentant une densité linéaire au moins égale à 400 tex. Avant la disposition des fibres, le groupe de fibres longitudinales est divisé en sous-groupes dont un est imprégné. Les fibres transversales sont ensuite disposées entre les sous-groupes supérieurs et inférieurs de fibres longitudinales dans des directions mutuellement perpendiculaires. Le procédé consiste enfin à effectuer successivement un traitement thermique, une nouvelle imprégnation à l'aide de l'élément de liaison puis un séchage jusqu'à ce que l'humidité résiduelle soit inférieure ou égale à 0,5 % en masse.
