Abstract

The invention relates to an elevator configuration in which the machine can be disposed inside the elevator shaft, thereby dispensing with the construction of an elevator room. The aforementioned machine can be accessed from the top floor, said machine being fixed to a mount which is connected to the counterweight guides and to the elevator cab guides. According to the invention, neither the machine nor the pulley are fixed to the wall or the ceiling of the shaft and, in this way, the machine, pulley, guides and counterweight are all disposed on the same side.
