Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zur qualitativen Beurteilung von Material mit zumindest einem Erkennungsmerkmal, dessen Position innerhalb eines durch Toleranzgrenzen bestimmten Erwartungsbereichs variieren kann, unter Verwendung zumindest einer Beleuchtungseinrichtung, mindestens eines photoelektrischen Sensors und einer mit diesen zusammenwirkenden Auswerteeinrichtung. Dabei sind zumindest ein Untergrundreferenzwert und zumindest eine Maskenreferenz in der Auswerteeinrichtung hinterlegt, wobei der Untergrundreferenzwert die Eigenschaften des Druckbilds, insbesondere den Grauwert, in zumindest einem Teil eines Umgebungsbereichs, der das Erkennungsmerkmal umgibt, repräsentiert, und wobei die Maskenreferenz die geometrische Kontur des Erkennungsmerkmals und/oder die relative Anordnung mehrerer Erkennungsmerkmale untereinander repräsentiert. Bei der Inspektion des bedruckten Materials werden aus den aktuellen Bilddaten und dem Untergrundreferenzwert in der Auswerteeinrichtung Differenzbilddaten zumindest für den Erwartungsbereich gebildet. In der Auswerteeinrichtung wird anschließend aus dem Vergleich der Differenzbilddaten mit der Maskenreferenz die aktuelle Position des Erkennungsmerkmals abgeleitet.
