Further there are provided a fixed guide 5 in the lift shaft 3 along which the lift cage 6 is movable in the vertical direction, a lift cable 7, a lift motor 8 with a traction sheave 9 for the drive, and a counterweight 10. As is shown in the figure, the lift cage 6 at the bottom side 11 is provided with one or more guide elements 12, in this example of an embodiment two pulleys 13 and 14.

- a pulley 13 is provided at a corner A of the lift cage 6 and a pulley 14 is provided at the corner B which is located diagonal with respect to the corner A of the lift cage 6.
