Description

PROCEDE DE COFFRAGE D'UN ESCALIER, NOTAMMENT D'UN ESCALIER TOURNANT ET COFFRAGE REALISE SELON CE PROCEDEMETHOD OF FORMWORK OF A STAIRCASE, PARTICULARLY OF A TURNING STAIRCASE AND FORMWORK CARRIED OUT ACCORDING TO THIS PROCESS
It also relates to the formwork for the implementation of this process.
Creating formwork for a spiral staircase is currently a long and tedious task, especially when this task is repetitive. We first proceed with a tracing on the ground then with the reading of the vertical dimensions along the side walls of the stairwell. Then, the lower carrying element is produced by means of plank segments which constitute the support for the bench. When this support is securely stowed, a first filling-smoothing operation is carried out using any coating which may be based on cement, lime, plaster, etc. . A smooth top coat is then applied to the filling layer. The quality of finish * of the lower surface of the staircase depends on the state of finish of this last layer. After placing the required metal reinforcement and fixing the upper elements delimiting the steps, the concrete can be poured.
The various stages of preparation and assembly of this formwork are very long and require the intervention of experienced specialists. In addition, if in the same building several apartments are provided with the same staircase, the formwork operations of these stairs are systematically to be redone. It is generally not possible to recover part or all of one of these forms for later reuse.
For all these reasons, the cost price of a spiral staircase formwork is very high. We could partially circumvent this problem by installing a prefabricated staircase. However, the production of stairs of this type also requires the production of a relatively expensive formwork or mold, generally made of sheet metal. It is certain that the cost of such a mold can be reduced provided that consideration is given to the construction of several identical staircases.
Unfortunately, in this case it is necessary to add to the cost of construction of the staircase itself the price of installation and transport, which is very high. Indeed, such a staircase weighs between two and three tonnes and requires heavy handling equipment. During the construction of a building, the costs of immobilizing a crane have a significant impact on the price of this construction. For the handling of most construction materials, a standard small crane is more than enough. However, when it comes to providing for the installation of a prefabricated staircase weighing several tonnes, such a crane is insufficient and it becomes necessary to provide a crane suitable for this particular job. The cost of construction as a whole is therefore greatly increased.
The present invention proposes to overcome these drawbacks by proposing a formwork method and a formwork produced according to this method, which make it possible to quickly form a spiral staircase by easily adapting to all forms of staircase, to reuse this formwork when it involves making several similar staircases, and in all cases ensuring an exceptional quality of finish while avoiding the use of highly specialized labor and resorting to the use of lifting gear oversized and expensive.

Referring to Figures 1 and 2, the formwork as illustrated is intended for a spiral staircase of the half-round type and is made so that it can be dismantled and reused for the realization of other similar staircases. It consists of a lower element, formed from a bench 10 supported by support members 16, and standard upper elements (not shown) called formwork of counter steps and serving to delimit said counter steps. The upper surface of the bench 10 corresponds to the lower surface of the finished staircase. As such, it is the quality of the finish of this upper surface on which the quality of the finish of the lower surface of the staircase will depend. The bench 10 is advantageously made of several sections 10a, 10b,. . . which are juxtaposed and clamped against each other by suitable assembly means described in more detail below, to form an apparently continuous assembly. Joints can be chewed or filled with a suitable substance.
These lower and upper elements are mounted in the stairwell 11, between its side walls 12, 13 and a central core 1. In the example shown, the central core \ is a substantially flat wall ending in a rounded flank 15, but this core can also be circular or have any profile. In addition, it is also possible to use this type of formwork in an open stairwell. In this case, the elements must be fixed to supports reconstituting a fictitious stairwell or be mounted on props.
In the case of Figure 1, the lower element is fixed to the side walls of the stairwell and to a central core.
The support members 16 of the bench 10 consist of longitudinal telescopic tubular sleepers 18, substantially horizontal and more or less spaced depending on the size of the staircase to be made, associated at each of their ends with fastening elements 19- In order to obtain the desired bench-top profile, these crosspieces comprise at each of their ends a ball head 20 and are, in places, supported on props adjustable verticals 17-
Après le décoffrage, il conviendra de boucher les trous des vis 24.The ball head 20 of one end of the crosspieces 18 is engaged in a socket 22 of the fastening means 19 of said crosspieces to the wall. This socket 22 is associated with a plate 23 disposed below the formwork of the bench. This plate is fixed to the wall by two screws 24. After formwork removal, the screw holes 24 should be plugged.
When the staircase does not have a central core (Figure 2) the crosspieces 18 comprise at one of their ends a ball head 20 intended to cooperate with the means of attachment 19 to the wall of the stairwell and to their other end of a perforated head 21. This perforated head is arranged to engage in a pin carried by an arm 80 which constitutes a guide for a stringer 81 serving to then put in place the shuttering formwork panels.
The stays 17, which carry the entire formwork, are adjustable in height and provided with a ball head 25, engaged in a cavity of a socket 26 integral with each cross member 18 so that the surface defined by the support members perfectly matches the shape of the bench.
The bench 10, which constitutes the finishing element and on which the concrete will ultimately be poured, is placed on the support members 16 after their installation.
This bench, shown in section in Figure 3, consists for example of a central plate 30 of a cellular synthetic material coated with two layers 31 and 32 of a polymerized substance such as polyester resin reinforced with glass fibers or carbon fiber applied on both sides of this plate 30. To guarantee an impeccable quality finish on the surface lower of the molded staircase, one can apply, on the upper layer 31, an impregnation film 33 intended to facilitate the formwork.
This benchtop thus obtained is rigid. It is previously carried out in the workshop by a molding process known per se on a mold designed for this purpose and cut into several sections in order to facilitate its transport and its installation. After cutting, and with a view to their assembly, each section is provided on its underside with a section of square or bent section, as shown in FIG. 4. The two bent sections 41 and 42, respectively integral with the sections 10a, 10b of the bench, are tightened against each other by means of clamping screws 43. A flexible seal 44 is interposed for mounting between the two sections to ensure sealing. On the other hand, each section is also equipped on its lower face with a slide 27 (FIG. 2) in which a cross member 18 is threaded during assembly, this slide being provided with the bush 26 arranged to receive the ball head 25 of the was 17-
This embodiment lends itself to unitary construction as well as serial production both on site and in the workshop. In the latter case, the staircase must be molded in a vertical position to avoid deformation due to the pressures exerted by the mass of concrete. In all cases, the quality of the finish is impeccable, saving time and improving quality are evident.
Another embodiment of the formwork according to the invention is illustrated in FIG. 5. This type of formwork makes it possible to quickly build a staircase of unique and varied shape with an excellent quality of finish. In this embodiment, the bench cannot be reused.
The support members 116 are produced in the form of a support mesh for the benchtop 110, which has all the required resistance characteristics and which allows adaptation to all forms of stairwells and staircases. For this purpose, as illustrated in Figure 6, these bodies consist of crosspieces longitudinal 118 and transverse 118 '. These cross members illustrated in more detail in FIG. 7, comprise a central rod 170 composed of two tubes 171 and 172 mounted telescopically and which carry at one of their ends each a head 158 in the form of a ball joint. The crosspieces 118 ′ are arranged to connect the longitudinal crosspieces 118 in a mobile manner. To do this, the said crosspieces 118 are fitted with coupling elements 190 as shown in FIG. 8. Each of these elements is designed to receive the ball heads 158 'of two transverse crosspieces 118'. To this end, these coupling elements 190 comprise two lateral sockets 200 receiving the ball heads and a flange 201 which is placed on the central rod of the crosspiece.
The bench 110 made on these support members 116 consists of a deformable lattice 120 in order to obtain the required shape of the bench and a sheet 121 of a flexible thermoformable synthetic material.
The trellis 120 is advantageously constituted by an articulated grid which is suitable for warping. It is held in place on the support members 116 by clamps (not shown) or any other similar fixing means. It can also consist of several grids. In the absence of grids, a simple formwork lattice of the mechanically welded type is perfectly suitable.
The sheet 121 of synthetic material applied to the trellis 120 is precut using a template in a flat plate of thermoformable cellular foam or any other similar flexible thermoformable synthetic material. It is then applied to the mesh 120 and shaped by a current of hot air.
En outre, l' écrou 153 est pourvu d'un logement supérieur 60 agencé pour recevoir les barres transversalesFIG. 9 represents a partial sectional view which illustrates the preferred method of positioning the horizontal support members 116 of the bench 110. The crosspieces used lend themselves to the mounting of a formwork for a stairwell made up of side walls and a central column or wall on which one can fix the wall fixing means 119- These fixing means 119 advantageously consist of a fixing plate 150, fixed to the wall by means of a recessed plug 151 and a screw 152, and which carries a fixed nut 153 intended to receive a bolt 154 ensuring the connection with a cross member 118. This bolt 154 is housed in a tubular bush 155 secured to a plate 156 carrying a fixed bush 157 provided with an open cavity intended to accommodate the end head 158 in the form of a ball joint of the cross member 118. In addition, the nut 153 is provided with an upper housing 60 arranged to receive the transverse bars.
161 de l'armature métallique (non représentée) .161 of the metal frame (not shown).
In this embodiment, the wall fixing elements 119 will be embedded in the concrete and only openings for the passage of the tubular sockets 155 and the bolts 154 will remain visible when the staircase is exposed. However, other wall fixing means can be provided which can be recovered during formwork removal.
In other embodiments, the shape of the components can be changed somewhat as required. In particular, one can consider the use of the lower load-bearing element as a lost formwork. In this case, connecting elements between this formwork and the poured concrete are to be expected. In addition, the lower surface of the supporting element can be tinted or structured since it will remain permanently as a decorative element under the finished staircase. This formwork process can also be used for a "free" staircase, that is to say not located in a stairwell, by using two stringer bars for guiding the formwork and by equipping the support members with two props vertical by cross.
