Definitions
- the object of the present invention is to create a spirit level in which the markings and the gas bubbles of the dragonflies are clearly visible even in semi-darkness or even in complete darkness.
- the spirit level which is the subject of the invention, is equipped with special, illuminated dragonflies.
- the use of light is also improved with the help of reflectors, which are attached to the side of the dragonflies. Show it:
- FIG. 1 shows a perspective view of a spirit level 1 with illuminated dragonflies 2 2 shows a longitudinal section through a spirit level 1 with illuminated dragonflies 2 in the area of two dragonflies 2, the associated lamp compartments 4 and the battery compartment 5
- the vials 2 of the proposed spirit level 1 are illuminated with an electric light source in the form of incandescent lamps 6.
- the incandescent lamps 6 are accommodated in lamp rooms 4 which directly adjoin the rooms 9 in which the dragonflies 2 are located.
- the lamp spaces 4 are opened 7 towards the bubble spaces 9, so that the light from the incandescent lamps 6 can enter the dragonfly spaces 9.
- translucent glass plates 8 or scattering light filters 8 are installed in these openings 7.
- the lamp spaces 4 are accessible from the outside of the spirit level 1. They can be opened and closed by means of appropriate covers 11. For this purpose, cover 11 that can be plugged on, screwed on or moved can be selected.
- the light bulbs 6 are powered by one or more batteries 10.
- the batteries 10 are accommodated in a special battery compartment 5.
- This battery compartment 5 is also accessible from the outside via a cover 11, so that the batteries 10 can be exchanged easily if required.
- An embodiment of the spirit level 1 that is independent of the battery current is also provided.
- the water level 1 of this type of training is equipped on its surface with solar cells 12. If the spirit level 1 is in the light, the solar cells 12 emit current to an accumulator 10, which is located here instead of a normal battery in the battery compartment 5. The accumulator 10 is thereby charged and can later supply the light bulbs 6 with current.
- the incandescent lamps 6 can be switched on and off by means of one or more switches 13.
- the switches 13 are attached to the surface of the spirit level 1 in an easily accessible manner. Toggle switches, slide switches or pressure switches can be used.
- the incandescent lamps 6, the batteries or accumulators 10, the Switches 13 and the solar cells 12 are connected to one another by cables 14 which run inside the spirit level 1.
- the weakest possible light bulbs 6 could be used, which consume correspondingly little electricity. If the power consumption is low, the batteries 10 have to be changed less often in the embodiment without solar cells 12, while in the embodiment with solar cells 12 the charge of the accumulator 10 is sufficient for a longer lighting period.
- the following measures achieve better utilization of the light: As a first measure, mirrored reflectors 15 are attached in the lamp rooms 4, on the wall which faces away from the dragonfly room 9. These reflectors 15 throw the light, which does not emit in the direction of the dragonflies 2, back into the dragonfly spaces 9.
- the liquid 16 in the dragonflies 2 is colored with a bright, fluorescent color.
- the fluorescent color has the ability to convert the invisible light waves into visible light, which leads to a better use of the light.
- a reflector 3 is attached to the level 2 arranged on the longitudinal edge of the spirit level 1, behind the gas bubble 17, that is to say on the rear side of the level space 9.
- the reflector 3 can be designed in various ways. Plug-in, pivotable or displaceable reflectors 3 are conceivable. However, fixed reflectors 3 are particularly suitable. They cover the rear wall and the two transverse walls of the dragonfly chamber 9 (cf. FIGS. 1 and 2), that is to say the two narrow sides of the dragonfly chamber 9 adjoining the opening 7, whereby they with the other dragonfly 2 arranged in the circular space, apart from the opening 7, can extend around the entire inside of the dragonfly space 9.
- the reflectors 3 are preferably made of a light-colored. thin plastic film or a thin plastic film, which has a fluorescent layer on the inside.
- the reflector 3 When used, the reflector 3 is arranged behind the gas bubble 17. It throws the light which strikes it back onto the gas bladder 17, as a result of which the weak light which is present is better used. Reflectors 3, which are provided with a fluorescent layer, can additionally convert light waves of the non-visible area into light of the visible area and thereby make better use of the weak light present.
- the proposed spirit level 1 with illuminated dragonflies 2 has significant advantages over the previously known spirit levels.
- the reflectors 3, 15 and the fluorescent liquid 16 allow the use of weak incandescent lamps 6 with low power consumption, which improves the user-friendliness. This expresses itself in the fact that in the spirit levels 1, which are operated with normal batteries 10, the batteries 10 have to be replaced less often and in the case of spirit levels 1 with solar cells 12, the charge of the accumulator 10 is sufficient for a longer duration of illumination.
