Description

Armierungseinlage für SkierReinforcement insert for skis
Die Erfindung betrifft eine streifenförmige Armierungseinlage für Skier gemäß Gattungsbegriff des Anspruchs 1.The invention relates to a strip-shaped reinforcement insert for skis according to the preamble of claim 1.
For example, from US Pat. Nos. 3,272,522 and 3,329,437 and DE-OS 20 14 025, reinforcement inserts for skis in the form of skeletal metal profiles with an open-ended web are already known. Such metal profiles are usually embedded in the bridge area of the ski in synthetic resin, which thus forms a firm, form-fitting connection. In the meantime, the profiles in question must be adapted to the respective ski shape by means of waist and curvature, which makes their production complex and expensive. In addition, their edge flanges can lead to undesirable stiffening of the ski.
Darüber hinaus hat sich das Leichtmetallblech in vielen Fällen als zu unelastisch erwiesen, indem es zu bleibenden Verformungen kam.DE-OS 30 31 498 shows a water ski and DE-GM 82 03 861 a cross-country ski with a reinforcement insert which can be supplied as a semi-finished product, consisting of a perforated metal band of uniform width, which is less than the minimum width of the ski. Such tapes are intended to be embedded in the ski on all sides. Appropriately, a band is placed near the top and bottom of the ski orders to absorb the forces that arise there as a result of the bending and torsional stresses. In addition, metal inserts in the form of continuous light metal sheets are used in ski manufacture in accordance with AT-PS 347 831, which, usually already in connection with the layers adjacent to the ski structure, are dressed in accordance with the outline of the ski. Especially in the latter case, the firm integration into the ski is problematic in such a way that the forces to be absorbed by the insert can be introduced into it and that the ski is not at risk of dissolving in the vertical direction. This is all the more true since the sheet metal reaching up to the side of the ski can quickly introduce temperature differences into the ski from there, which lead to thermal stress there, and although the sheets in question are usually coated with an adhesion promoter before further processing. In addition, the light metal sheet has proven to be too inelastic in many cases because of permanent deformations.
Finally, from the prospectus 82/83 of the company A. Rohrmoser, A-5602 Wagrain, a reinforcement insert which can be prefabricated as such is known according to the preamble of claim 1, in which a perforated steel strip is laminated into a plastic strip protruding on both sides. This reinforcement insert should be used at about half the height of the ski body.
The invention is based on the object to form a strip-shaped reinforcement insert according to the generic term so that it not only facilitates or improves the integration of the band-shaped metal body in the ski, but also relieves the need to provide a separate outsole or ski surface layer. This object is solved by the characterizing features of claim 1.
With the invention, an inexpensive semi-finished product is created which considerably simplifies the manufacture of a ski that meets high quality requirements. The reinforcement insert according to the invention assumes that such reinforcement is most conveniently arranged in the vicinity of the bottom and / or surface of the ski, and therefore as far away as possible from the neutral fiber of the ski body.
As far as is known, reinforcement in accordance with the invention can be incorporated into the blank of the ski body in the standard position and only then, along with the other layers, can be trimmed at the edge. The metal body will generally have a width that is less than the smallest width of the finished ski body.
Die Unteransorüche geben vorteilhafte Ausgestaltungsmöglichkeiten der Erfindung an.The subclaims indicate advantageous design options for the invention.
Nachfolgend werden entsprechende Ausführungsbeispiele genauer beschrieben. Dabei zeigtCorresponding exemplary embodiments are described in more detail below. It shows
Fig. 1 eine Draufsicht auf einen Abschnitt einer erfindungsgemäßen Armierungseinlage, wobei auf der linken Seite die aufeinanderliegenden Schichten nacheinander abgebrochen erscheinen, undFig. 1 is a plan view of a portion of a reinforcing insert according to the invention, wherein the layers lying one on top of the other appear broken off one after the other, and
Fig. 2 shows an enlarged vertical longitudinal section through a reinforcement insert according to the invention. The reinforcement insert shown in FIG. 1 consists of a lower band-shaped layer 2 and an upper band-shaped layer 4 of a plastic that may itself be reinforced, such as epoxy resin, between which a narrower band-shaped metal body 6 is embedded. The upper layer 4 is treated in accordance with a desired ski surface structure and, if necessary, coated and / or colored for this purpose.
The reinforcement can consist, for example, of glass or carbon fibers or fabric. The metal body 6 has openings 8 offset from one another, here in the form of circular holes. with a diameter of 4 mm. The width of the metal body 6 in the example shown for use in alpine skis is 50 mm, that of the 3andes 10 consisting of the two plastic layers 2 and 4 is 90 mm. In any case, the plastic band is wider than the maximum width of the ski, while that of the metal body 5 is less than the minimum width of the ski, so that the plastic band can internalize the entire width of the ski if necessary (it is appropriately dressed during ski manufacture α) , while the band-shaped metal body 6 remains embedded in the ski over the entire length.
In order to improve the integration in a plastic band 10, the metal body 6 can be coated with an adhesion promoter in a manner known per se. The two plastic layers 2 and 4 are connected to one another by gluing, welding or the like, the plastic or the binder filling the openings 8. In this way, there is a positive connection between the metal body 6 and the plastic band 10, while the two layers 2 and 4 of the plastic bandes are held tightly together. The openings 8 should be dimensioned as small as possible, as long as there is still a guarantee that the plastic or the binder completely fills the openings.
As an alternative to this, the underside of the plastic band 10 can also be designed directly as an outsole when a suitable plastic is selected, just as the top side could be designed and / or coated according to a desired ski surface.
The metal body 6 is preferably a spring steel band, the thickness of which is between 0.2 and 0.3 mm in the case of alpine skis and between 0.1 and 0.2 mm in the case of cross-country skis. The thickness of the plastic band 10 will generally be between 0.5 and 1 mm. For alpine skis, the width of the metal body 6 will be between 40 and 60 mm, for cross-country skis, which are offered with quite different (minimum) widths, between 10 and 40 mm.
An additional anchoring effect of the .metal body 6 in the plastic band 10 can be achieved in that the openings 3, as is also indicated in broken lines in FIG. 2, have ridges 14. Otherwise, as can be seen in FIG. 1, the metal body 6 can be continuous on both sides, i.e. have essentially uninterrupted edges 16 which make it particularly suitable for absorbing high tensile forces without permanent deformation. However, as can also be seen in the figure, these edges can be serrated in order to promote their integration into the plastic band.
