DESIGN.
Patented Jan. 8, I901.
H. E. WAGONEB.
OVERSHOE.
(Application filed Dec. 18, 1900,]
R. m N m N f UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE.
HARRY E. WAGONER, OF ST. LOUIS, MISSOURI, ASSIGNOR TO THE MONARCH RUBBER COMPANY, OF SAME PLACE.
DESIGN FOR AN OVERSHOE.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 33,892, dated January 8, 1901.
Application filed December 13, 1900. Serial No. 39,796. Term of patent 7 years.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, HARRY E. WAGONER, a citizen of the United States, residing at St. Louis, in the State of Missouri, have invented and prod need a new and original Design for Overshoes, of which the following is a full, clear, and exact description, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming a part hereof.
Figure 1 represents a perspective view showing my design for overshoes. Fig. 2 is a top plan of the same, and Fig. 3 is a transverse section on line 3 3 of Fig. 2.
As shown in the drawings, the leading or material feature of my design consists of a.
central depression extending from the upper front edge of the shoe and terminating at some distance from the toe, the bot] ndingwalls of such depression being connected by a series of transverse parallel ridges terminating in annular rings or ornaments disposed su bstantially parallel to such bounding-walls.
Referring to the drawings, S represents an overshoe of prevailing pattern, the upper being provided with lateral recesses 1, thus leaving an upper central extension 2. Centrally disposed along the extension 2 is a depression 3, having parallel bounding-walls 4 4, adjacent to which and on the outside of the shoe are disposed a series of annular raised rings 30 5, arranged opposite one another, so that the transverse ridges 6, conecting each pair of rings will be respectively parallel to one another. Exterior to the rings 5 are the sealloped beaded lines or ridges 7, extending 35 downwardly from the upper end of the extension 2 and terminating below the same at some distance from the toe. Along the edge of the shoe is a ribbed and headed series of lines or ridges 8, the same forking at a point 40 near the base of the recess 1 and continuing along the front of the shoe, so as to surround the parts previously described.
Having described my invention, What I claim is- The design for an overshoe as herein shown and described.
In testimony whereof I affix my signature in presence of two witnesses.
EMIL STAREK, NnLLIn ARKEBAUER.
