DESIGN.
E. H. SANDT.
. Y BBETZEL 0R CRAGKER.
Patented Apr. 30. 1889.
i WIN/E8856: INVHITOI? UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE.
EUGENE II. SANDT, OF ALLENTOVVN, PENNSYLVANIA.
DESIGN FORA BRETZ EL OR CRACKER.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 19,069, dated April 30, 1889.
Application filed April 3, 1889. Serial No. 306,876- Term of patent 7 years To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, EUGENE H. SANDT, a citizen of the United States, and a resident of A1lentown, in the county of Lehigh and State of Pennsylvania, have invented a certain new and useful Design for Bretzels; and I do declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the invention, such as will enable others skilled in the art to whichit appertains to make and use the same, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, and to letters or figures of reference marked thereon, which form a part of this specification.
The figure of the drawing is a representation of the design.
The design consists in the novel form and configuration of the cracker or bretzel, as hereinafter shown and described.
The cracker or bretzel is, with regard to its exterior form, trefoil-shaped, having the convex exterior marginal curves a and the indentations b at their junctions. The convex upper arch, b, is continued on each side to ward the center to form a loop, as shown, within which is the aperture 0, and the branches of the loop are joined in twisted form, as at d, to provide a middle bar, separating the lateral apertures e e, which are exteriorly bounded by the lateral arches g g. At the upper ends of the lateral arches, where they join the sides of the loop-terminal, creases h h are made, as shown.
Having described this design, what I claim, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-
The design for crackers or bretzels having the trefoil-shaped exterior form, the upper arch being continued toward the center in loop shape, the aperture c within the loop, the twist at d, the lateral apertures e e, and the lateral arches bounding the lateral apertures e e, and having the terminal creases at their junctions with the sides of the loop, as shown and set forth.
In testimony whereof I affixiny signature in presence of two witnesses.
ISAAC SANDT, WILLIAM B. LANE.
