DESIGN FOR A DISH.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 33,280, dated October 2, 1900.
Application filed September 8, 1900- Serial No. 29,461. Term of patent 3* years.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, WILLIAM H. GRINDLEY, a subject of the Queen of Great Britain, residing at Cougleton, county of Chester, England, have invented a new and original Design for a Dish; and I do declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the same, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming part hereof.
In the drawings, Figure 1 is a plan View, and Fig. 2 is a vertical central section and partial side elevation, ofa dish embodying my design.
The leading features of my design are as follows: The rim of the dish is asmooth continuous curve. Within the rim and parallel thereto is arranged a series of embossed ornamentations consisting of a smooth curve a, terminating in an inwardly-curved bead er circle I) at each end alternating with a conventional trifoliate figure c, pointing inward. The center of the dish is depressed, the depression being bounded by a continuous curve, which isprovided with an embossed ornamentation consisting of short radial lines (1. Between the center of the dish and its outer edge there is a row of embossed ornamentations consisting of a trifoliate figure c and a quadrifoliate figure f, alternately arranged between each pair of such figures there being placed a conventionalized stalk g, provided with flowers h, the top of the same in each case being toward the figure f and away from the figure e.
What I claim is- The design for a dish substantially as shown and described.
