kcsg A TTORNE YS UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE.
LOUIS SANDERS, OF NEW YORK, N. Y.
DESIGN FOR A BELT.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 33,208, dated September 18, 1900. Application filed July 25, 1900- Serial No. 24,827- Term of patent 3% years.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that l, LOUIS SANDERS, a citizen of the United States, and a resident of the city of New York, borough of Brooklyn, in the county of Kings and State of New York, doing business in said city, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Belt, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawinns, forming a part thereof, in which- Figure l is a perspective view of a belt embodying the features of my design, and Fig. 2 is a transverse section through the belt, taken substantially on the line 2 :3 of Fig. 1.
The leading feature of the design consists of the back ornamentation of the belt, wherein a back panel A appears in its entirety offset from or embossed upon the rear portions of the waistband B, and the projected panel A of the belt is increased in transverse width at its center, forming points or scallops C at its upper and lower central longitudinal edge portions, which extend beyond the corresponding edge of the band B.
Additional features of the design consist in the surface ornamentation of the panel A, in which a continuous rib or embossed line a is formed upon the outer face of the panel A, which follows the marginal contour of the panel, and within the circuit of the rib or embossed line a, a linear ornament 11 appears.
Having thus described my invention, I claim as new and desire to secure by Letters Patent- The design for the belt herein shown and described.
In testimony whereof I have signed my name to this specification in the presence of two subscribing witnesses.
LOUIS SANDERS.
