Application filed October 21, 1898. Serial No. 694,238. Term of patent 7 years.
To @ZZ whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, BENJAMIN S. WHITE- HEAD, a citizen of the United States, residing at Newark, in the county of Essex and State of New Jersey, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Badge; and I do hereby declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the invention, such as will enable others skilled in the art to which it appertains to make and use the same, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, and to letters of reference marked thereon, which form a part of this specification.
In said drawings, Figure I is a front view of a badge embodying the leading features of my new and original design, and Fig. 2 is a side view of the same.
The design is distinguished by its general effect, and the drawings are mainly relied upon to elucidate its general features, and the following general description being given for the purpose of the specification.
The design consists in the novel configuration and ornamentation shown.
The upper part of the badge is formed by an ornamental disk or button a, having a circular marginal edge a', which when viewed from the side forms a bead-like structure a2, tapering baekwardly and inwardly toward the center of the disk or button a, substantially as illustrated in Fig. 2 of the drawings. The outer face of said disk or button a is also made convex, as shown. Suspended from the said disk or button a by a ring b is an ornament consisting of a rabbits foot c, having an ornamental cap c' at the top and an eye c2 connected with the suspension-ring b, above mentioned.

The design for a badge, substantially as herein shown and described.
