This invention relates to a design for that class of hats, bonnets, or other coverings for the head, which are made in imitation of straw-goods, and are forrned by .cutting the design into proper dies, and pressing the material therein; and the invention consists in the peculiar` form or configuration representingthe'braid, and which said design, although it may be impossible to produce a braid of exactly the 'same design', -yet it represents or sthe appearance of a. braid of dicult fabrication, and is fully shown in the accompanying illustration.

What I' claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is

The peculiar configuration or design for an imitation braid, as clearl y shownland defined in the accompanying drawing.
