SPECIFICATION forming part of Letters Patent No. 793,460, dated June 27, 1905,
Application filed March 12, 1904. Serial No. 19 7.864.
To all 1117mm it may concern:
Be it known that LFRANKLIN I. Monmsoma citizen of the United States, residing at Crownhill, in the county of .Kanawha and State of est Virginia, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Halters; and I do hereby declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the invention, such as will enable others skilled in the art to which it appertains to make and use the same.
This invention relates to halters for horses and other animals; and it consists in the novel construction and combination of the parts hereinafter fully described and claimed.
In the drawings, Figure 1 is a side view of the halter. Fig. 2 is afront view of the halter.
A is a strap or other similar flexible band or cord which goes around the nose of the animal and which is provided with a buckle B of any approved construction and a ringb for the attachment of the leading-rope.
C is the head strap, band, or cord, which goes over the top of the head of the animal and which extends lengthwise of the head on each side thereof.

What I claim is- In a halter, the combination, with a nosestrap, of two connections a and f secured at opposite sides of the nose-strap and provided with loops through which the said strap is passed, a head-strap having one end portion rigidly secured to the said connection f, and a spiral spring and links which couple the other end portion of the said head-strap with the said connection a.
