Abstract

In apparatus comprising a passageway through which an advancing yarn must be threaded, yarn guides and locating means for a suction gun are provided, whereby the yarn may be led close to the passageway entrance and on cutting may be entrained through the passageway into the gun.

Claims (1)

1. Apparatus for treating a continuously advancing yarn comprising a body with a yarn passageway therethrough opening at one end into a suction gun locating means, the apparatus also comprising first guiding means for guiding a yarn in proximity to the passageway entrance and second guiding means for guiding yarn from the first guiding means round the outside of the body of the apparatus and into the suction gun locating means whereby a yarn continuously advancing from a delivery means into a suction gun may be entrained through the passageway by engaging the yarn with the first guiding means and with the second guiding means, engaging the suction gun in the suction gun locating means and cutting the yarn between the first guiding means and the suction gun.
