' The invention will first be described in connection with the drawings, and then pointed out in the claim.

wrench. The main body A is chambered or slotted, as shown at a, and is formed at its outer end with the Xedjaw a', which is slightly curved backward toward the handle portion a2 of the main body A. The handle Bis pivoted in the slot or recess a of the main body A upon the pin b, and the handle is formed at its forward end with the toothed sector b', which intergears with the toothed sector c', formed upon the rear end of the jaw G, the

' jaw being pivoted in the'said recess a of the main body A upon a pin, c, as shown in Fig. 1. The jaw C, besides being formed with the toothed sector c', is curved and formed upon its outer conveX- edge with the teeth c2, and

these teeth are cut diagonally across the edge of the jaw, as s hown in Fig. 2, so that the jaw, when brought down upon a pipe by the han- `dle B, will present sharp teeth to the surface applied to a pipe or other object to be turned,

and-by bringing the handle B down toward the handle portion c2 of the main part A, the jaw C will be closed upon and held with great firmness upon the pipe or other object to be turned.

Having thus fully described my invention, I claim as new and desire to secure by Letters Patentl The pipewrench herein shown and described, oonsisting of the main body A, formed with the recess a, jaw c', and handle -portion c2, and of the handle B and `jaw O, pivoted in the recess a, the handle and j aw being geared togetherv by the sectors b c', substantially as and for the purposes set forth.
