This invention relates to a combined cigarette ers upon opposite sides of the partition and one case and lighter, and has for the primary object stack of cigarettes abuts the fuel tank 4, as the provision of a device of this character which shown in Figure 2 while the other stack of cigawill provide in one unit, storage for the entire rettes is in align with the passage 6 so that the number of cigarettes sold in a conventional type uppermost cigarette in the passage will be in of cigarette package and which will present cigproper position to be engaged by an ejecting arettes one at a time to an ejecting means wheremeans [5. The companion sections of the case by each cigarette may be projected partly from are notched so that when closed they present a the case to be placed in a persons mouth for cigarette discharge opening through which the lighting by the lighter, the latter being autouppermost cigarette may be ejected by the eject- 10 matically operated by the actuation of said ejecting means when actuated. When one stack of ing means. cigarettes in the rack has been exhausted, the
With these and other objects in view, this inrack is removed from the tongue l2 and reversed vention consists in certain novel features of conin the case so as to present the other stack of struction, combination and arrangement of parts cigarettes in align with the passage 6. Thus it 15 to be hereinafter more fully described and will be seen that the rack will permit the case claimed. to accommodate the entire number of cigarettes Figure 1 is a vertical sectional view illustrating now sold in a conventional type package. A finger the purpose of feeding cigarettes to the passage piece 28 is secured to the plate 26 and projects 6. The rack 1 includes a partition 8, side walls through a slot in the case whereby said plate 45 9 and a bottom wall Ill. The partition 8 is may be manually moved against the action of a chambered and opened outwardly through the spring 29. The plate 26 is slidably mounted on bottom wall III, as shown at H, for the reception a rod 30 and said rod also forms a support for of atongue l2 carried by the hinge 2. The spring 22 then acts to swing the cover and thereby bring about lighting 01' the wick it. The person drawing upon the cigarette, as shown in Figure 5, may light said cigarette from the flame of the lighter.
Having described the invention, I claim:
In a cigarette case composed of companion sections and a hinge connecting said sections, a tongue connected to said case by the hinge, a rack including a partition and end members thereto, and said partition having a chamber to receive the tongue for releasably mounting the rack in the case, flanges formed on the end members, said partition, end members and flanges cooperating in forming spaces for the reception of cigarettes arranged in superimposed relation at opposite sides of the partition, and spring pressed followers acting on the cigarettes and located at opposite sides of the partition and guided by the end members and the flanges.
