' 6 Claims. My invention relates to leather wrist watch straps.

The object of myjnvention is to produce a neat and attractive wrist watch strap that is light, 5 compact, durable, economical and agreeable to the touch, and one which due to its peculiar construction is narrow and will withstand perspiration more than the usual wider strap.

My invention consists in providing a leather l wrist watch strap with a substantially continuous under or inner surface and an outer "or upper surface having longitudinal ribs or ridges thereon. My invention also consists in the details 'of construction and in the combination, location If and arrangement of parts, and also in the method of making the strap. 3

What I claim as new and desire to secure by Letters Patents is:

1. In a wrist watch strapof the class described 40 the comb tion of a strap tongue formed of a single strip of leather folded atits longitudinal center upon itself and having said folds secured to one another with the ends of the strip of leather free and gaping, and a section of ornamental leather strap having one end received between the free, gaping ends of the tongue and the other end adapted to be connected with a wrist watch.

2. In a wrist watch strap of the class described the combination of a strap tongue formed of a single strip of leather folded at its longitudinal cente'r upon itself and having said folds secured to one another with theends of the strip of leather free and gaping, a section of ornamental leather strap having one end received between the attaching section and free, gaping ends of the tongue and the other end adapted to be connected with a wrist watch. and means extending through the free, gaping ends of the tongue and the connecting strap piece for securing the parts to one another.

3. In a leather wrist watch strap of the class described the combination of an inner watchattaching section, tion formed of a single piece of leather folded on itself and said folds secured to one another with the ends thereof free, and a central connecting section having one end secured to the watch-attaching section and the other end received between the free ends of the outer section.

4. In a leather wrist watch strap of the class described the combination of an inner watchattaching section, an outer tongue or buckle section formed of a single piece of leather folded on itself and said folds secured to one another with the ends thereof free, a central connecting section having one end secured to the watchthe other end received between the free ends of the outer section, and means extending through the free ends of said 'outer section and the enclosed end of the central section for uniting said sections to one another. a 5. A leather wrist watch strap of the class described comprising a pair of sections, each section having an inner piece folded on itself and an outer tongue or buckle sec-v watch attaching piece folded on itself to stitched to provide a pin bar loop with its ends free and gaping, each section having an outer piece, said outer piece on one section forming the buckle attaching piece and said outer piece on the other section forming the tongue, each of said outer pieces being formed from a single piece of material folded upon itself with the ends free and gaping, a connecting piece between said inner and outer pieces of each section and having its ends disposedbetween the free gaping ends of said inner and outer pieces, and means for connecting the said pieces of each section to one another.

6. A leather wrist watch strap of the class described comprising a pair of sections, one of said sections having an inner watch attaching piece folded on itself and stitched to provide a pin bar loop, an outer buckle attaching piece formed of a single piece of material folded on itself, a connecting piece between said inner and outer pieces,

the other section of the strap having an inner provide a pin bar loop, a central piece having one end attached to the inner watch attaching piece, and

a tongue at the outer end of said last mentioned,

central piece and having its ends free and gaping to receive said end of said second mentioned central section.
