IMPROVEMENT IN KITCHEN-CABINETS.

Specification forming part of Letters Patent No. 168,397, dated October 5, 1875; application tiledA August 2l, 1875.

To all whom -it my concern:

Be it known that I, GEORGE HoLT, of Minneapolis, in the county ot' Hennepin and State of Minnesota, have invented a new and Improved Kitchen-Cabinet, of which the following is a specification:

My invention relates to an improved kitchencabinet that contains in one piece of furniture` storage-room for nearly all the articles and implements required for cooking and kitchen use, being arranged in such a manner that time and labor are saved, and the different articles are stored compactly and conveniently therein.

The invention consists of a compound kitch er1-cabinet with central shelves7 side and top drawers, rear storage-receptacles, and sliding implements and supporting-pieces for various purposes at the top.

In the drawing, A represents the top or table of the 4 improved kitchencabinet; B, a hinged leaf at the rear side, supported on suitable slide-pieces; and O, an ironing-board that is placed on front corner slides O, which are also made use of for sharpening knives. The central front part of the cabinet is arranged for shelves D, forming a dish-cupboard with hinged doors. At both sides of the shelves D are drawers E, for miscellaneous articles, flour, sugar, meal, towels, &c.; and above the shelves D and drawers E are two drawers, G, of smaller above the same, for miscellaneous articles, oc-1 cupy the remaining available space. The arrangement for the dii'erent parts is very compact, and so easily within reach that all the parts can be used without delay, and with less labor and trouble than when shelved and stored away, so as to be found only with ditliculty when needed.

Having thus described my invention, I claim as new and desire to secure by Letters Patent- A combination kitchen-cabinet, constructed with a central clipboard, side and top drawers, sliding implements belowr the top or table, with supporting-pieces for an ironing-board,

,and longitudinal chambers and drawers back of the front shelves and drawers, all arranged substantially in the manner and for the purpose set forth.
