In a floor construction comprising, a series of U-shaped metallic beams, a reinforcing beam comprising a U-shaped beam with a central flange, pre-cast slabs supported by the lower flanges of the U-shaped beams and central flange of the reinforcing beam, a hardening material filling the spaces between the beams and bearing upon the pro-cast slabs, transverse metallic lathing bearing against the beams, equally spaced cleats between the lathing, a composite covering enclosing the spaces between the cleats and interlocking with the lathing and a flooring supported by the cleats.
6. A floor 'constructioncomprising, a series ofU-shaped metallic beams placed back to back and equally spaced, reinforcing beams comprising a U-shaped-beam with central flanges, the central flanges'being on a line with the bottom flange of the first mentioned beams, pre-cast slabs bearing upon the central flanges of the reinforcing beam and uponthe lower flange of the adjacent beams, a hardening material enclosing the space between the beamsand bearingupon the precast slab, transverse metallic lathing bearing upon the beams, cleatssupported by the lathing, a composite covering filling the spaces between the cleats and interlocking with the lathing and a floor bearing against the cleats.
7. A floor construction comprising, a plurality of U-shaped beams, a plurality of reinforcing beams comprising U-shaped plates with central flange, pre-cast slabs bearing against the central flange and the lower flanges of the adjacent beams, a hardening material between the beams, a coveringfor the lower half of the reinforcing beam and a floor supported by'the beams and hardening material between therbeams.
8. A floor construction comprising, a plurality of U-shaped beams and reinforcing beams, the reinforcing beams having a'central flange, pre-cast slabs bearing against the centrl flange of thereinforcing beams and the lower flange of the adjacent beams, a hardening material enclosing the pockets formed between the beams and pre-cast slabs, metallic lathing laid transverse with respect to the U-shaped beams, a series ofparallel cleats embedded between the laths, a composite covering intermediate with the cleats and interlocking with the laths and a floor ing laid transverse to and upon the cleats.
