NON-REFILLAIBLE BOTTLE.

To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, SIDNEY R. M. MALLOCH, a citizen of the United States, residing at Philadelphia, in the county of Philadelphia and State of Pennsylvania, have invented certain useful Improvements in Non-Refillable Bottles, of which the following is a specification, reference being had therein to the accompanying drawing.
This invention relates to improvements in non-refillable bottles, one object of the invention being the provision of a bottle of this type which is composed of few parts and which is easily originally filled before the connection thereto of the non-refillable members, but which cannot be refilled commercially without destroying the parts.
A further object of this invention is the provision of a bottle of this type which is simple and inexpensive in construction and which is thoroughly efficient and practical in use.
In the accompanying drawings: Figure l is a vertical sectional view through the complete bottle assembled. Fig. 2 is a vertical sectional view of the body portion thereof per se. Fig. 3 is a similar view of the neck portion. Figs. 4, 5 and 6 are detail views of various parts.
Referring to the drawings, the numeral 10 designates the body of the bottle which is provided with the reduced cylindrical portion 11 having a valve seated port 12 therein and provided with the annular shoulder portion 13 and the tapered valve chamber lt thereabove. A protecting screen 15 is carried by the upper face of the cylindrical member 11 and disposed in the valve chamber 14 is the frusto-conical valve '16 having the annular shoulder 17 and the concentric opening 18.
Formed exteriorly of and integral with the member 11 are the screw threads 19, while formed in one side thereof is a rectangular recess 20, the purpose of which will presently appear. The neck member 21 is provided at its upper end with the bead 22 which may be constructed to receive a cap seal or a cork as may be found desirable. Molded integral with the neck member 21 upon the interior thereof is a projection 23 which incloses the terminal 24,: of the valve guiding stem 25,

this being preferably made of wire and the material being preferably aluminum. The portion 25 is adapted to extend downwardly through the screen 15 into the opening 18 of the valve 16 so that the valve may have a straight line movement from its seat 12 when the contents are being poured from the body through the neck 21.
Formed internally of the enlargement at the lower end of the neck member 21 is a rectangular recess 27 for the reception of the spring 26, while cooperative screw threads 28 are also provided to cooperate with the threads 19 when the parts are assembled, the respective rectangular recesses 20 and 27 being alined so that the spring 26 will eXpand and thus lock the neck upon the body of the bottle so that the same cannot be moved in either direction without destroying the bottle. When the parts are assembled, the flared edge 29 of the neck member 21 will rest upon the curved shoulder 30 of the body 10, thus making an exceedingly neat looking and attractive bottle.
In use, the contents are poured in the member 10 before the valve 16 or screen 15 are placed in position, the valve 16 is then placed upon the seat 12 and the screen 15 upon the upper end of the member 11. The neck member 21 is now connected in place, the stem 25 being projected through the screen 15 into the opening 18 of the valve, and the parts assume the position as shown in Fig. 1.
From the foregoing description it is evident that a commercial non-refillable bottle produced, and one which being made of glass and aluminum will be non-corrodible and can be used with liquids without contaminating the same.
