Be it known that I, EDWARD Kinny Bo'r- TLE, a citizen of the United States, residing at Elmira. in the county of Chemung and -State. of New York, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Mapifolding Sales-Books, of which'tlie following is a. full, clear. and exact description, such as will enable others skilled in the art to which it appertains tomake and'use the same.

This invention relates to manifolding Sales hooks and with regard to certain more specific features thereof, to triplicate Sales books. i

One of the objects of the present invention is to provide a simple and practical 'salesl'nmh of the above character.

Almlli-z'l' object is to providea sales book whieh'shall be easy to manifmlate and cheap to niamltacture.

A further object is to provide. 'a'sales book pa-rtic.ularl adapted for use in clubs and the like, an(l coi |structcd to prevent fraud.

In Fig. 2 the construction is substantially the same except that the original leaf 9 of the pa r 8 is not bound at the stub with the duplicate leaves but terminates at the line of perforations 14. the operation thereof is, of course, substantially the same as that aoove described. It is thus seen that this invention provides a simple and practical device adapted to accomplish, among others, all of the objects and advantages above set forth.

As many changes could be made in the above construction and many apparently widely different embodiments of this invention could be made without departing from the scope thereof, it is intended that all mattor contained in the above description or shown in the accompanying. drawings shall be interpreted as illustrative and not in a limiting sense.

Having described my invention, what I claim as new and desire to secure by Letters Patent is:

1. In a manifolding salesbook, in comb1- nation, a holder, a back, a pad comprising a pluralit of original and duplicate leaves mounte upon one of said parts, a second pad of triplicate leaves mounted upon the other and operatively associated with said first-mentioned pad and manifolding means associated with eachof said pads whereby triplicate copies may be made when the parts are in operative position.

2.'In a manifolding sales book of the character described, in combination, a pad comprising a plurality of sets of original and duplicateleaves, the leaves of each set being connected at both ends and a triplicate pad connected with said first-mentioned pad to rest beneath the top set of original and duplicate leaves.

In a manifolding sales book of the character described, in combination, a pad comprising a plurality of sets of original and duplicate leaves, the leaves of each set be ing connected at both ends, a triplicate pad coiinected with said first-mentioned pad to rest beneath the top set of original and duplicate leaves, a manifolding medium. applied directlyto the back of the original leaf, and a carbon sheet connected with the triplicate pad.

5. In amanifolding sales book of the character described, in combination, a pad comprising a plurality of sets of original and duplicate leaves, the leaves of each set being connected at both ends, a triplicate pad connected with said first-mentioned pad to rest beneath the top set of original and duplicate leaves, manifoldin plied directly to the back 0 the original leaf,-and manifolding means beneath the duplicate leaf. i

6. In a manifolding sales book of the character described, in combination, a pad comprising a. plurality of sets of original and duplicate leaves, said leaves being connected at both ends, manifolding means applied to the back of each originalleaf, a triplicate pad connected with said first mentioned pad normally positioned beneath the top set of leaves, and a manifolding sheet connected with said triplicate pad.

7. In a manifolding sales book of the character described, in combination, a holder having a back hinged along one edge thereof, a pad comprising a plurality of sets of original and duplicate leaves removably mounted upon said holder, the original and duplicate leaves of each set being connected at their unboundends, a triplicate pad comprising a plurality of single leaves bound together along one edge removably mounted upon said back and operatively positioned with relation to the top set of original and duplicate leaves, and manifolding media located both above and below said duplicate leaf whereby transactions are recorded in triplicate.

8.
