Be it known that lI, SIMON KEMPER,'of Berger,l

in the county of Franklin and State of Missouri, have made certain new and useful Improvements in Mosquito-Bars and Frames; and I do hereby declare that the following is a full and clear description thereof, reference being had to the accompanying drawings and to the letters of -refercncemarked thereon.

This invention relates principally to the arrangement of the frame in parts which may readily be brought together, or moved apart into position for supporting the bar or netting; when folded said parts occupy little room, and are, therefore, economically conveyed from place to place, or stored.

As the said flame and bar is also intendedl for use when the opportunities for support of the frame are limited to the bed or resting place of the `user, the said frameis formed peculiarly for its'own support.

said invention, I will now more fully describe the same, referring herein to the accompanying drawing- Figure 1 as an eleva-tion;

Figure 2 as a plan showing the frame and bar asin ordinary use; and to Figure 3 as an enlargedview, showing the frame folded for storage.

The frame has a center bar, A, which may have a small knob or a hook in accordance with the use and support ofthe frame. To-this bar all others are joined.

Usually, at light angles therewith, I secure to the bar A the short bow B; these parts are permanent in their relative positions.

At either side of the bow B on the bar A are pivoted respectively, at c and d, the long bows or supports C and D; these are of such length and curved form as to cause the mosquito or ily-netting to rest on the frame in a dome-like concave, thus removing the net` ting from lthe person thereunder sulcientlyto prevent injuryto the netting and avoid thestings of insects on the netting.

The supports C aud D then. may stand lon the bed or other resting place. rlhe parts thus described, owing to theirjoint with the center-bar A, as aforesaid, may readily he folded to the form indicated in fig. 3.

-In order to hold the parts asunder and preserve the dome forml required, the cord or band E is carried.

The ends e of the cord extend beyond the supports D, and have the rubber o'r other elastic loops e, so that the cord may readily draw onto the short bow Bl By pressing the loops e' od the bow B the parts are free to move together.

The netting F- is drawn over the frame, and is held iu position by rubber or similar loops f lifting about the supports C and D.k Y

The frame F will be formed of wood or metal, in light and graceful form, and the entire device will, from its simplicity,.be cheap and durable.

Having thus fully described my invention,

What I claim, is-

1. The center-bar A, with the short bow B aud hinged bows C and D joined by a cord E e, and rubber loops c substantially as set forth.

2. The parts before namedin first claim, when combined with the netting'F and its loops j, substantially as set forth.
