Abstract
The invention relates to metal forming, namely, to the process operations of hydrodynamic stamping sheet articles. A device for hydrodynamic stamping comprises coaxially installed: a power unit comprising a fixed barrel portion, a moving barrel portion with a tool and a piston over the moving barrel portion dividing the barrel cavity into gas and hydraulic chambers and a technological unit comprising a die with a workpiece placed therein and an adapter with liquid transfer medium located coaxially above the die. The barrel is fixed at the bottom of the moving barrel portion. In the case the device comprises a means for adjusting a gap between the adapter and the movable barrel portion in its lowest position, which is made in the form of adjusting washers located in the cavity of power unit. In the method of hydrodynamic stamping a sheet blank is placed into the die, on which an adapter is mounted which is filled with liquid transfer medium, and a high pressure pulse is generated therein by loading a solid - a tool, which is placed at the bottom of the moving portion of barrel thus creating a liquid column, in which a direct hydraulic shock is generated to accelerate the tool. The invention allows for direct hydraulic shock by adding a required pressure pulse to accelerate the tool, and also to minimize the impact on the surface of liquid transfer medium of air trapped between the tool and transfer medium, and to prevent separation of the tool from loading liquid during its acceleration.
