疚、發明說明: 【發明所属之技術領威】 發明領域 本發明係部份有關造紙技術,尤係關於一般稱為造纸 機用布的織物,其係可供裝在造紙機上來製造紙張者。° 本發明亦有關非織物的製造及例如以水纏結法所製成之織 物,尤指可於其上製造該等產品的工業用織物。又本發明 亦有關能在該等織物上控制地沈積聚合樹脂材料,而使其 具有所需的功能特性之方法。 I:先前技術3 發明背景 如精習於此項技術之人士所公知’造紙製程起先會將 一纖維料漿’即纖維素纖維的水性分散物’沈積在一造紙 機的成形部段中之一移動的成形織物上。於此過程中,大 量的水分會由該料榮中穿過成形織物來被渥出,而在該織 物表面留下纖維胚疋。 剛形成的胚疋會由該成形部段前進至一壓著部段,其 内包含有一系列的軋輪組。該纖維胚疋會被一壓著織物撐 持,或在一般情況會被失持於二壓著織物之間,而來通過 該等軋輪組。在該等軋輪組中,該纖維胚疋會承受壓縮力 而由其内搾出水分’並會令其成分纖維互相勘結而變成— 紙張。由該胚疋軋出的水分會被壓著織物吸收,且最理# 是不會再回到該紙疋内。 其
該胚疋現已成為紙張,最後會前進至一乾燥部P 中含有至少一組可旋轉的乾燥滾筒,係能由内部以蒸汽來 加熱。a亥紙張本身會被乾無織物以·一迁迴路徑來依序地 導經該各滾筒’該織物會將紙疋緊抵於至少某些滾筒的表 面上。該等已加熱的滾筒可藉由蒸發來將該紙張所含的水 分減少至一所需程度。 應請瞭解該等成形、壓著及乾燥織物皆會在造紙機上 構成無端環圈的形式’並以輸送帶的方式來操作。亦請瞭 解,紙張的生產係為一種以可觀速度來進行的連續製程。 此即是說’纖維料漿會不斷地被沈積在成形部段的成形織 物上,而一剛製成的紙張在由該造紙機下游端的乾燥部段 離開後,將會被連續地捲繞於轉轴上。 非織產品的製造在其領域中亦泛所公知。該等織物係 直接由纖維來製成’而不經過傳統的紡紗、織造、或針織 等操作。它們可藉紡黏或熔喷法來製成,其中剛押出的纖 維在仍為高熱有黏性的狀態下會被平鋪形成一網疋,而使 它們互相黏合來造成一整體的非織物疋。 非織產品亦可藉氣流結網法或梳理操作來製成,其中 纖維網疋在被沈積之後將會凝固而藉針刺或水纏結法來製 成一非織產品。在水纏結法中,高壓水喷頭會垂直地導喷 於該網疋上。而使纖維互相糾結在一起。在針刺法中,纖 維的纏結係利用倒鈎針的往復作動針床來機械式地達成, 其在各針的驅入行程時會將該網疋表面上的纖維進一步地 迫入纏結。 在該等製程中,無端的工業織物會扮演一重要角色。 通系,該等織物係由塑膠單纖絲來織成,惟在當—非織物 的製程中若其溫度條件不便或不能使用塑膠單纖絲時則 金屬線亦可替代來使用。而如同造紙機用布的狀況,該等 工業織物亦會以輸送帶的方式來操作,該等料疋會依前述 之方法以連續方式平鋪其上來凝固結合。 於上述之各情況下,若一造紙機或工業用織物在一連 、-I程中被作為一無端輸送帶來使用,則該無端織物的内 表面會磁觸其所套設之機器的固定構件,並會由於此等接 觸而容易磨損。為延長該等織物的使用壽命,一層能阻抗 磨扣的聚合樹脂材料會被敷設於該織物的内表面上。以 往噴塗及接觸滾塗法會被用來敷設該等塗層。但該等技 術的缺點是不夠精確,而會以不一致且不可控制的方式來 負面地影響該織物的可滲透性。由於其可滲透性的局部差 '將會可見地f彡響於該卫業織物上所製成之紙張或非織物 :可見地影響於該工業織物上所製成之紙張或非織物的品 貝,故乃亟需一種方法可用來將一耐磨的聚合樹脂材料層 塗佈於無端織物的内表面,而不會負面影響其可滲透性。 夕同樣地’亦有需要敷設-料層或塗層於該無端織物的 外表面上’而^;會負面地影響其可滲透性,俾能例如改善 於該織物上來被製造之紙張或非織物的處理或輸送。舉例 而言,第5829488號美國專利乃揭示一種乾燥織物可供使 用於一造紙機的單程乾燥部段上。該乾燥織物係為一種織 造結構,而具有一所謂的朝紙面其在乾燥部段中會面向該 紙張。該乾燥織物在朝紙面上至少有一些紗線是為親水性 1329148 的,俾增加該乾燥織物和紙張之間的黏性。該等紗線係可 藉以一親水性聚合樹脂材料來塗覆該朝紙面,而被製成具 有親水性的。但以傳統的方法,即如喷塗或接觸滾塗法, 會較難以達成而不負面影響該織物的可滲透性。 5 最後,亦有需要一種方法能以一受控方式將一聚合樹
脂材料塗敷於一造紙機或工業織物上,而得在該織物的預 擇區域或整個表面上來將其滲透率調整至一所需值。此等 方法將可被用來消除局部差異,以使該織物具有一致的可 滲透性,或用來將該織物的滲透率調整至某一所需的均一 10 值。例如,以往曾有藉改變在該織物邊緣處之MD紗數(較 緊密會有較低的可滲透性),而使其中央部份具有較低的紗 數以獲得較高的滲透率,這是一種可在沿CD方向來達到較 均一的水分分佈廓線之方法。但此方法亦有一些缺點。
本發明係提供一種可滿足該等需求的方法,其中聚合 15 樹脂材料能被高度控制且精確地佈設於一造紙機或工業織 物的表面上,而不會影響其可滲透性,並能達到一所需作 用或以所需方式來影響該織物,使其可改變表面接觸面積 和耐磨性,而對滲透率,或對比變化、空隙體積、或局部 滲透性差異等,僅會有最小的影響。 20 【發明内容】 發明概要 緣是,本發明係為一種用來製造一造紙機或工業織物 的方法,該織物具有一功能特性例如可滲透性或财磨性, 乃可藉精確地塗佈一聚合樹脂材料於其表面上或内部而來 8 1329148 基材内。或者,該等短纖毛亦可藉水纏結法來固接於該基 材,其中會以細微的高壓水噴頭來執行如前述之往復鈎= 的功能。應請瞭解,當短纖毛墊被以上述之任一方法,或 專業人士所知的其它方法來固設於該基材之後其將會具 5有一如同一般在造紙機的壓著部段中用來將一濕紙疋除水 之該種壓著織物的結構。 在某些情況下,其在塗佈樹脂之後,亦可能需要覆設 一初始層或添加的毛墊於該結構上。在此情況下,則該圖 案化的樹脂可鋪設在一層毛墊纖維底下。又,該樹脂層亦 10可鋪設於一疊層中,也許中夾於二基材之間,以防止例如 所謂的“集聚’’(nesting),或達到其它所需的效果。 當該基材被提供後,不論在其一或兩面上是否被添設 短纖毛墊材料,皆會被裝在如第1圖所示的裝置1〇上。應請 瞭解,該基材可為無端形式,或可被裝設於造紙機上時再 15來縫合成無端形式。因此,第1圖所示的基材12應可瞭解係 僅為其整體長度之一較小部份而已《若該基材12係為無端 的’其最好係被繞設套裝在一對滾筒輪上,此雖未示於圖 中’但應為造紙機布領域之專業人士所最熟悉者。在此情 況下,該裝置10應會被設在該二滾輪之間的基材12上、下 20 二圈段之一者上,而最好是設在上圈段處。但,不論該基 材12是否為無端形式,其在製程中最好係被設成具有適當 的張力。且’為了避免弛垂,在該基材12移經該裝置10時, 亦得以一水平支樓物來由底下撐持。 現請參閱第1圖,當實施本發明的方法時,該基材12 11 1329148 會以所示之朝上方向來移動穿過該裝置10,該裝置10含有 一系列的數個站,可供該基材12步進地通過,而來製成一 織物。 該各站係如下所示: 5 1.可擇的聚合物沈積站14 : 2. 顯像/精確聚合物沈積站24 ; 3. 可擇的定形站36 ;及 4. 可擇的研磨站44。 在第一站的可擇性聚合牛沈積站14中,有一壓電喷頭 1〇陣列16安裝在橫向軌條18,20上,而能以橫交該基材12移 動穿過該裝置10的方向來平移,並能以平行於該基材12作 動的方向而在二軌條18,20之間移動;其可用來當該基材 12靜止時以重複步驟沈積-聚合龍材料,而於該基材I2 上或其内沈積所需量的樹脂材料。若有需要,該沈積站14 15亦可用來在該基#上沈積比一般使用習知技術,例如喷 塗 達成者更為均勻一致的樹脂材料。但請瞭解,該 ’尤積,冑將細脂材料整體-致地喷佈於該基材12的紗線 上,以及各紗線史間的空隙内。但這並非在所有情況下皆 疋Λ ^、因此,該聚合物沈積站14的使用在本發明中是 2〇 可選擇的。 此外該樹月旨枓料的沈積並非僅可橫交該基材的移動方 向而亦此平行於其移動方向,或螺轉於該方向或以任 何其它適當的方式來進行β 該壓電贺頭陣列16包含至少一個,但最好是多數個可 12 1329148 的所需體積内或其表面上。此等控制對防止該基材12表面 底下的滲潰和漫延是極為重要的。此等控制係可例如藉將 該基材12保持在一溫度而來達成,該溫度能使該樹脂材料 在接觸基材時即迅速地定形。該控制亦可藉使用某些材料 5 而來達成’該材料在具有一定開放程度的基材上會有已知 或妥當限制的固化或反應時間,而令該樹脂材料在有時間 漫延超出該基材12的所需體積之前即會被定形。
當所需量的樹脂材料已被佈設於橫過筚基材12之二橫 軌18、20間之一區帶的每單位面積上之後,該基材12即會 10 縱向前進一等於該區帶寬度的量,且前述程序將會重複來 將樹脂材料沈積於一鄰接先前已完成者之新的區帶上。以 此重複方式’該整個基材12將能每單位面積被設具任何所 需量的樹脂材料。
或者’該由基材12之一邊緣,或最好由一縱向延伸之 15 基準線開始的壓電噴頭陣列16,亦可相對於該等橫執18、 20被保持在一固定位置,而該基材12則由其底下移動通 過,來在一環繞該基材12之縱向條帶的每單位面積上沈積 任何所需量的樹脂材料。當完成該縱向條帶時,該喷頭陣 列16即會在橫軌18、20上橫向移動一等於該縱向條帶之寬 20度的量,且上述程序會再重複來將樹脂材料沈積於一相鄰 前已完成者之新的縱向條帶上。以此方式,該整個基體12 之每單位面積亦能被設具所需量聚合樹脂材料。 該喷頭陣列16可通過該基材12—或多次來沈積所需量 的材料’並造成所需的形狀。其中’該等沈積物可採用如 15 1329148 第3圖所示的各種形狀。該等形狀可為方形、圓錐形、矩形、 #圓形、梯形等’而具有較粗的底部朝上推拔斜縮。依所 擇設計而定,當該噴頭重複地通過沈積區域時,其所沈積 的材料量將能以逐減的方式來堆疊。 5 在該二橫軌18、20之一端處乃設有一噴頭檢查站22, 可供檢測由該際16之各噴頭喷出的樹脂材料流量。在該 處,該等壓電噴頭會被淨化及清理而使任何故障的嘴頭單 元能自動地恢復操作。
在第二站的顯像/精確聚合物沈積站24中,其係為本 10 發明唯一非選擇性的操作站,有二橫向軌條26、28會樓持 一數位顯像的相機30,該相機可橫越該基材12的寬度;並 有一壓電噴頭陣列32可平移橫過該基材12的寬度,且能在 該基材12靜止時縱向地移動於該二軌條26、28之間。
該數位相機30會攝取該基材12表面的影像,而來定位 15 出該基材12的紗線,及各紗線之間的空隙。其實際表面與 所需外觀之間的比對,係藉一快速圖案辨識(FPR)處理器配 合該數位相機30來操作完成。該FPR處理器會傳訊該陣列32 來將樹脂材料沈積在所需位置上’以使其匹配吻合於所需 的外觀圖案。例如,若其需要以樹脂材料來阻塞該等間隙, 20俾以一所需方式來控制該織物的可滲透性’則可藉該顯像 /精確聚合物沈積站24來達成。如第4A〜C圖所示’在一 紗線13與上方紗線15之間的空隙11 ’將可藉於紗線19上控 制地沈積一樹脂材料17而來填滿’如此即能提供表面均一 性和平坦性。 16 或者’若該樹脂材料僅要被沈積在紗線上,而非要噴 入它們之間的空隙内,則此亦可藉該顯像/精確聚合物沈 積站24而來達成。如同前述,在該二橫執26、28的一端處 亦設有一壓電喷頭檢查站34,可供檢測各噴頭喷出的材料 5流量。在此處’該陣列32之各壓電噴頭能被淨化及清理, 以使任何故障的喷頭單元自動恢復操作。 於第三站的可擇性定形站36中,有二橫向執條38、40 會支撐一定形裝置42,其可能會需要被用來定形所沈積的 樹脂材料。該定形裝置42可為一熱源,例如紅外線、熱空 1〇氣、微波或雷射光源;冷空氣;或一紫外線或可見光源, 其選擇乃依該樹脂材料的需求而定。 最後,該第四亦是最後一站即為可擇的研磨站44,其 會有一適當的研磨物被用來使該基材12表面上的任何樹脂 材料具有一致的厚度。該研磨站44可包含一滚輪具有一研 15磨表面,及另一滾輪或墊背表面設在該基材12的另一面 上’以確保其研磨能產生一致的厚度。 舉例而言,請參閱第2圖’其為一基材12依據本發明來 將聚合樹脂材料沈積於表面上之精確位置的平面圖。該基 材U係由縱向紗52和橫向紗54所織成之一單層平坦組織, 20 惟應請瞭解發明人並無意要使本發明的實施被限制於此等 織物。該等縱向紗52會在通過橫向紗54上方處形成凸節 56 β同樣地,橫向紗54亦會在通過縱向紗52上方處形成凸 節58。有許多的空隙60會形成於交織的縱向紗52與橫向紗 54之間。 17 1329148 第2圖係為—完成的織物在由該裝置10的定形站36和 研磨站44離開時可能顯現的平面圖。該織物62有某些預擇 的空隙60等會被該顯像/精確聚合物沈積站24精確沈積於 該等位置的樹脂材料64所阻塞,而得以一預定方式來控制 5該織物62的可滲透性。此外,各凸節56 ' 58等亦有樹脂64 塗佈其上。該樹脂塗層64在若第2圖所示者係為該織物62的 背面時,即可被用來阻抗磨損,或若該面係為該織物62的 朝Λ面時,則可用來改善紙張處理。該塗層64係以該顯像 /精確聚合物沈積站24來精確地佈設於該等凸節56、58處。 10 該塗佈圖案可為隨意的,或在一基材上之一重複的隨 意圖案,或該等圖案亦可為用來供品質管制之由一織物帶 至另一織物帶被重複的圖案。 該表面通常係為與所製造之紙張、面紙、紙巾、或非 織產品等接觸的表面。惟亦有些織物/製程中可能需將該 15樹脂主要塗佈在非與產品接觸的表面上。在本發明之一變 化實施例中,該各站14、24、36等乃可被調整而以—螺旋 技術來由a亥基材12製成一織物’而非如上所述地沿橫過機 器方向來定標操作。在該螺旋技術中,該各站14、24、% 等。 20 係可由該基材12之一邊緣,例如第1圖的左側邊緣開 始,來逐漸地移動橫越該基材12,而基材12會以如第1圖所 示的方向移動。該各站14、24、36及該基材12的移動速率 會被調設成,能使所沈積的樹脂材料以一連續方式來螺轉 迴繞在該基材12上。於此變化例中,由該可擇聚合物沈積 18 ^!4及顯像/精確聚合物沈積站24所沈積的齡材料將 可在每次螺旋通過該可擇定形站42底下時,即被部份地定 ’或固疋且在當整個基材12通過該裝置iG之後,能夠完全 地定形^ 5 ^或者,該各站14 ' 24及36亦可互相對齊來被保持在固 錢置’而令基材12由其底下通過,以使所需的樹脂材料 塗佈於J衣繞該基材12的縱向條帶上。當完成該縱向條 帶時’該細14、24、36會橫向移動—等於該縱向條帶之 ίο 的量,,且该私序會針對一鄰接於該已完成者之新的 縱向條帶來重複進行。以此重複方式,則整體基材12將能 依需要來被完全地處理。又該壓電喷頭陣列中的某些個別 噴碩可被用來沈積一種聚合樹脂材料,而其它喷頭則可沈 積另種不同的樹脂材料,以供例如製成一表面其上具有一 種以上之樹脂材料所形成的微區域等。 且,該整個裝置亦能保持在一固定位置來處理材料。 凊注意該材料並不一定須為一全寬度織物,而亦可為—材 料條帶,例如在Rexfelt之第536〇656號美國專利中所揭者其 内容併此附送)’該條帶嗣可被製成一全寬度織物。該條帶 在被完全處理之後,可被捲繞在一組滚輪上。該等織物條 20帶滾輪能先被儲存,然後再使用上述專利的方法,來製成 一無端的全寬度結構。 上述内容的修正變化將可為專業人士所易得知,但不 會超出所附之申請專利範圍。該樹脂可被塗佈或任何圖案 來填充空隙或塗在紗線上或其任何組合形成。該塗層可沪 25紗線長度呈連續或斷續地被設來阻抗磨損。雖上述之壓電 19 1329148 喷頭係被用來將功能性聚合樹脂材料沈積在該基材上或其 内的預擇位置處,但專業人士所習知或在未來可能開發之 其它可供沈積所需尺寸範圍内之料滴的裝置,亦可用來實 施本發明。例如,在一需有一較大圖案的製程中,譬如其 5 最終元件為半球體時,一較大的或甚至單一的樹脂沈積喷 嘴亦可被用來構成該整個喷頭陣列。若使用該等裝置來實 施本發明亦不超出所附的申請專利範圍。 I:圖式簡單說明3

Claims (1)

  1. 第92132129號專利申請案 99年4月 申請專利範圍修正本 拾、申請專利範圍: 1. 一種用來製造造纸機用或工業用之織物的方法,該方法 包含以下步驟· 5 a)提供一用於該織物的基材; b)以一受控方式將聚合樹脂材料沈積於該基材之 各別分離的位置處,而來控制所沈積材料的x,y, z維
