Abstract

The present invention provides a short circuit element to reliably cause a short circuit between short-circuit electrodes by melting fusible conductors. The short circuit element of this invention includes a first electrode 11, a second electrode 12 disposed next to the first electrode 11, a first fusible conductor 13 which is supported on the first electrode 11 and molten to coagulate between the first electrode 11 and the second electrode 12 for causing a short circuit between the first electrode 11 and the second electrode 12, and a heat generating element 14 for heating the first fusible conductor 13. The first fusible conductor 13 is supported and protrudes opposite to the second electrode 12.
